《His Red Eyes {SasuNaru}》Chapter 16

Sitting in my seat during class, waiting for Naruto to arrive at the classroom, was nerve-wracking. Cold sweat started forming in the middle of my palms.

I started noticing and wiped it off. The classroom was talking and chatting like any other day. None had even the slightest idea of what was happening to Naruto or me.

The classroom was large enough to fit around 25 students, the blackboard in the front of the room, the words 'Class Trip In 4 Weeks' was written in the corner of the board in bold white chalk.

The open door was at the front of the classroom on the right, and on the left were two large windows that had a view of the schoolyard.

My eyes darted back to the doorway when I saw Naruto walk stand near the doorway of the classroom, a nerve-wracking expression starting to emerge on his face.

He scanned the classroom before making direct eye contact with me before breaking it almost instantly, his face flushing right after.

He walked to his usual seat next to me without looking at me. Placing his bookbag on the floor, he looked at the window on the other side of the classroom, trying to avoid eye contact with me the whole time.

Was he embarrassed? I tapped him on the shoulder, "Naruto?" I call for him, he tenses up but manages to look at me.

"H-Hi," he stuttered, his face as red as it was the last time I saw him, "S-Sorry, am I making this awkward?" he asked, in a considerate tone.

I shook my head in disagreement, "Oh, good," he said. It went silent between the two of us, I needed to break the tension between the two of us, or it would all go downhill from here.

"I'm sorry if I did anything yesterday that made things awkward between us," I apologized. Naruto looked over at me,

"You didn't do anything wrong, I just- I just don't know what to say after that," he explained.

I turned away from him slightly, "That makes two of us," I reply. He processes it before beaming with a tiny bit of blush that was hardly visible.

I smile, "I-" "Morning class," I was cut off by none other than our teacher, Kakashi Hatake. Just when things were finally going steady between Naruto and me.

"Today, we will be discussing any questions we have left about our project," he explained to us in a bored tone.

I reached for a sticky note in the front pocket of my bag and scribbled down a small note on it.

I wrote down the words, 'Meet me in the same class during lunch' and slid down the note to Naruto, who took it from me and read it.

He smiled as he read it, and grabbed a blue pen from his pockets and started writing down something else, and passed it back to me without making eye contact.

The note read, 'Okay, see you then,' with a small heart next to the message. I'm keeping this with me till the day I die.

I was waiting in the classroom, waiting for Naruto to arrive. Kiba was holding him up in the hallways. He was trying to show him something on his phone.

Leaning against one of the front desks, I stared outside the windows at the other students eating or talking together in groups.

I watched as a specific friend group. Sakura, Ino, Hinata, TenTen, and Temari were together near one of the big trees in the schoolyard.

I saw Ino whisper something to Sakura, causing her to flush as she led her away from the rest of the group.

Those two were interesting. Haven't you ever watched two people and wonder why they aren't together yet? Because that's what I'm feeling right now.

They are soulmates. I checked at the beginning of this whole shinanigan. "Sasuke?" I overheard a voice call for me.

I snap out of my thoughts from hearing the voice. I turn around to see a familiar blonde. "You finally came?"

"Sorry, Kiba wanted to show me something," he apologized. "It's fine," I reassure him. It stayed silent between the two of us before Naruto said something.

"The kiss- um- why did you- you know.." Naruto asked me while stuttering. I looked at Naruto with a confused expression on my face, before understanding what he meant.

"Oh that," I replied. Naruto nodded. I thought for a second, "I did it because I wanted to," I stated.

Angry and confused, Naruto walked up to me and started yelling while shaking me, "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN?" The amount of space between us was minimum.

He stopped and looked me in the eye. I shrugged, "I don't really know. I love you, so I kissed you. Do I really need a reason other than that?" I asked him.

The anger on his face disappeared almost instantly, and his face turned slightly red instead. He then realized the amount of space between our faces and turned a deeper shade of red.

He relaxed the grip on my shoulders, "S-Sorry," he said, trying to take a step back. Instead of letting him move away, I pulled him closer.

Right after his grip loosened, I moved my arms. So they were no longer at my sides. One was around Naruto's torso, and the other was clutching his hair ever so slightly.

"What are you trying to be sorry for?" I asked him. "N-Nothing, forget it," he stammered.

I pulled him closer to me, so our chests were pressed against each other. "No, tell me, I'm intrigued," I say in a charming manner.

The expression on his face changed from embarrassment to confidence, "You really want to know?" he said, moving our faces closer to the others. So our noses were touching.

When did he get this confidence from? Didn't matter, I reached for his chin and positioned his head, so he was gazing up at me, and I placed a small kiss on his cheek.

I pulled away right after, "Are you going to tell me?" Naruto's face started turning red, and his humiliation returned to him.

"N-Nevermind," he said, looking away. I laugh at him, and I use my hand to make him look at me, he was confused, but before he could say anything, I kissed him.

Naruto kissed back almost instantly. His arms moved from my shoulders to the back of my neck. While my arms moved from around his torso to his waist.

We broke away from the kiss simultaneously but went back in for another one almost immediately.

The second kiss lasted longer than the first. We were both melting in the kiss, barely able to keep our thoughts on track.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, Naruto managed to break the kiss. We were both red in the face, our breathing fast-paced.

"So are you going to tell me why you called me here?" he asked me. I nodded, "Then tell me," he whined.

"Naruto," he gave me a perplexed look, "Will you be my boyfriend?" I asked him. He beamed and nodded with joy.

I was trying to contain my happiness but couldn't. I pulled Naruto into another kiss on the spot. He kissed back.

It only lasted a couple of seconds before we heard a noise from outside the classroom.

We broke away from the kiss and walked backward, I tripped over a chair, and Naruto bumped into a table.

We both glanced at the door. No one was there. "We're good," I tell Naruto. He nods, "We should stay here. Lunch is nearly over anyway," Naruto proposes.

I nod, I get up from the floor, and Naruto dusts down his uniform. I glance back towards the door, I'm suspicious, but I won't get too involved with it.

Finally, these idiots got together. I've been shipping them ever since Sasuke arrives, and they decide to wait two months before getting together.

Honestly, at least they got together. I'm thrilled about that. Naruto and Sasuke can thank me in the future. I'll leave them be for the rest of lunch.

A/N These two idiots finally got together after all of this. I can't believe we're already here.
