《Sontails - Madly in love》Insert

"Miles Prower, what about you hedgie?~"
The shadow answered. A lunar moonlight slowly creeping out within the clouds, revealing two men who seems to be awfully close.
'Waitaminute- that's me and Tails!' Sonic widened his eyes in surprise. 'I don't remember any of this happening...'
"That's not what I meant you idiot. Who do you think you are, lurking around the stores in the middle of night with a gun!" Sonic tightened his grip around the fox's wrists, who the fox didn't seem to notice. "My my- you are quite strong blue~" The fox isn't interested the slightest to answer the hedgehog's questions.
"Why you little-"
"Hush now hedgie- or the police will catch us both~" The fox smiled, knowing he had the advantage.
Sonic stiffened as he felt a chilling cold run down his spine as he hears and feels cops run through his ghost like body. He panicked and ran into the corner where his past self and Tails is, not knowing that he can't be seen. "uuuuuh...."
The hedgehog sighed, staring into the sly fox's eyes. "You want to go to jail?" He threatened, but the fox only let out a snicker. Then, leaned in, closer to Sonic's face. "I've been there, broken out of that hell hole too and I can do it again" Miles says. Wagging his namesakes while smiling. "But I have an offer for you, blue-" Within a second, the fox used his tail to feint the hedgehogs legs, making him trip and connect with the ground. A grunt leaving his mouth. A flat sole got pushed against his cheek, holding his head to the ground.
"You shouldn't underestimate me, blue. Think a little maybe? How did I break into a jewelry store without the alarm going off, or any of the other stores as well?" The fox asked. "Or, maybe you didn't get that far?" The hedgehog growled, grabbing his leg, but the fox had no plan in moving it.
"Say- what is your name anyways, or maybe I should just keep calling you hedgie, or blue?"
His heart skipped, he liked these nicknames better... 'Sonikku is just... Creepy...'
The hedgehog narrowed his eyes. The fox didn't seem to be scared at all. "Call me Sonic- and that's it" He says. "Hmm, cute~" Miles replied, removing his foot from Sonic's face. The hedgehog got up quickly, but not fast enough to catch the organized fox. Who is already on top of the roof above him. "I will see ya soon, Sonic~" Then he left, not to be seen again for weeks.
X
Sonic almost stumbled over his own memory as everything moved in a blur of colors. It's like time itself is spinning. Everything is just a mere blur, until it suddenly stopped and he stands in a room. 'This is.. my old room. The one in Mystic ruins'
Sonic got mesmerized by Miles' eyes. The hedgehog is staring deeply into those ocean blue eyes. Miles sitting in the window seat, his hand holding onto the wall above him for support. Sonic's hands placed on each side of the fox's legs. "I never noticed how of a wonderful color your eyes possess" Sonic says. A soft chuckle escaped Miles' lips. He moved his head a little to the side, closing his eyes to avoid eye contact- but also the small blush spreading over his muzzle.
"You're quite charming hedgie~" He says softly. His heart beating with warmth from hearing Sonic's words.
"So, Miles. You came here for, what reason?" Sonic asked, breaking the charming aura. The fox slowly slid down the window seat, his body touching Sonic's. Gently. The hedgehog didn't plan on moving his hands away from the window.

"I came here because I wanted to- see you once more" The fox smiled a little crookedly. Sonic raised an eyebrow.
"Nice try" The fox lowered his ears and made a face, disappointed that his 'fantastic' excuse didn't work. He sighed. "Fine, I am on the run and your house is the closest so- oH!"
The hedgehog pinned Miles down to the ground. Hushing him with his finger against Miles' lips. Voices shouting and lights flickering from outside. The room lights up from the flashlights, until they eventually died down along with the voices. Continuing down the street.
Miled looked up at the hedgehog with shock. "You-"
"Yes I did- so what?" He says, rolling off the fox and placing his butt down on his bed. Miles joining him. The silence washed over them. They sat there in mere silence and did nothing but fickle their fingers.
'Well- this is awkward...'
"Thanks. I just... No one has ever helped me before. I know what you did was small, but for me it meant a little more than that. So, again: Thanks" Miles looked away from the hedgehog. Embarrassed of letting his honesty go loose.
Sonic turned his head to look at Miles. He smiled and patted his shoulder. "Glad you're honest"
Miles smiled a little. Feeling a sudden warmth by being with the hedgehog. "Say, what are you on the run from anyways?" He asked.
Miles smile turned to a smirk. "You mean, why I am on the run?"
"Uh, same thing" Sonic scratched his neck.
"None of your business" Miles teased the hedgehog. Turning his head away. "Eh? Now you got me curious" Sonic whined. "Tell me!"
"Nah-ah~" Miles wagged his namesakes. Obviously enjoying this. Sonic decided to join the game and wrapped his arms around the fox's torso. "Hey!" Miles laughed. "Tell me or I'll never let you go!" He smirked, humour in in voice. The fox laughed and 'fights' against the hedgehog by twisting and turning around. Getting the sheets all messed up.
"C'mon you sly fox" Miles pants softly and gave in. He layed back to the hedgehog's chest and rested. Sonic, leaning against the wall, looked down at the creature in his arms. "So, you going to tell me or what?" His arms still around the fox. "Mm, nah. I kinda like being in your arms. Your strong~" His hand drifted up his barely visible muscles. Sending shivers on his skin. "But you're also gentle and warm~"
"Man, you're clingy for someone I just met" Sonic chuckled with a bit of nervosity. "Yeah, what if?" Miles asked. Turning his body around to look at the hedgehog's face. Their chests resting against each other. One hearing the other's heartbeat. "N-no reason"
He smirked. "You nervous hedgie?~" Sonic didn't want to answer that question, so he only sighed softly and rested his head against the wall. "..."
"Whatever Miles" The body on top of his shivered. Sonic opened one of his eye locks, looking up at the fox. "Sorry, I just- don't like my own name..." Miles lowered his ears, avoiding eye contact.
"Oh- well maybe I can make a nickname for you then. What about..." The hedgehog looked at the fox, searching for a suitable nickname. "Mr. Clingy?" Miles made a face. Sonic snickered. 'Sly, blue, ass...' His eyes soon fell upon his tails, tails...
"What about... Tails?" The fox's ears shot up like he heard an explosion. Looking up at the hedgehog with sparkles in his eyes. Sonic could swear he have never seen someone so adorable like him at that moment. "W-will you call me that?" Sonic nodded, smiling. "Yes, Tails. I will"

A pair of arms wrapped themselves around Sonic's neck.
'So much for a nickname? Tails must really hate his birth name...'

Time passed by. He could see Tails and his past self get along, them making their love official for their friends, them... loving each other. Sonic could slowly, but surely remember everything by only witnessing the smaller parts. All until he stopped once more, in his living room. 'I have a bad feeling about this place...'
Sonic lays in his couch, reading a book. The wind whistling outside of the house, the lights went out for about an hour ago. A few candles are lit around the room.
"Jeez, I can barely read. These candles doesn't help much..." Sonic mumbled annoyed. He sighed and placed the book down on the coffee table, giving up on reading. "I hope Tails is having a better time than me..."
'Where is he anyways?'
The outside door opened in a rough movement and closed shut just as quickly as a creature leaned up against the wooden piece for support. Panting heavily. "Tails? Are you-"
"No I am not" He squeaked out, reaching for the hedgehog as he lost his balance. Sonic moved quickly over to his side, catching him in time. "Hey hey... Love, what's wrong?" Sonic asked softly, concern in his voice.
"J-just hold me..." Tails answered, not bothering to answer the hedgehog's question. Sonic didn't question his behaviour. Something has definitely happened at the Science school. He carried the shaking fox over to the couch, holding him close to his chest for warmth. A thought crossed his mind. "Tails, I hate to ask this but... When you jumped through my window that night for two years ago, you told me that you were running away, but I never got to know why"
Tails knew where this is going. "Sonic..." He pushed himself up, but he wouldn't dare looking Sonic in the eyes. "I... killed someone, Sonic..."
The sentence shocked Sonic. His body froze. "Y-you're
kidding, right?"
"Does it look like I am kidding...?" Tails looked at him stupidly. His eyes slowly changing in the darkness. They didn't look like crystals anymore, but they appeared as cold and emotionless. "Tails..." Sonic could barely believe it. "Was it an accident?" It would make more sense if it was.
Tails remained quiet, he sighed and lowered his gaze from Sonic's eyes. "Oh Chaos..."
'It was at that night I figured out about Tails' dark secret. You can say I needed an explanation from him, but it only resulted in him breaking down in tears and shouting. He must have been trying really hard on keeping this away from me back then...'
"I-I just can't help it" Tails shakes in Sonic's arms, his namesakes wrapped firmly around his own body.
By now, Tails have killed more people than he can remember. He used experiments, liquids and even gases. This part of his mind is twisted, his thoughts bizarre, even so, he can't stop thinking about doing it again.
"I need help Sonic..." Tails' voice cracked. His arms wrapped tightly around Sonic's body. "I will help you Tails, ok? Everything will be ok..."
Nothing was ok, things got only worse. Sonic never managed to get help for Tails. Simply because he didn't know where to find it. He thought about a therapist, but he wasn't so sure. Nothing got better when Tails found out about Sonic's ongoing relationship with Amy Rose. He flared up that night when he saw him and Amy making out.
He almost put Amy in the hospital from beating her up too much. Sonic couldn't live with this fox anymore, so therefore, he left him out of fright.
X
"I can remember this.. I dreamed this... Oh Tails- you didn't deserve to hear any of what I said..."
"I am scared. I just, can't get rid if this- delightful feeling!"
Sonic looked at him with terror and confusion. The darkness covers his sins that it's smeared over his hands, but visible to the mobian eye.
"You got to help me!"
Sonic takes a step back.
Tails takes a step forward.
"What have you done?!"
Taken aback, his eyes glossy. His hands shivering, he walks slowly towards him. Needy of help.
"Help.. me..." Drops of warm water hits the ground as he closened in.
"Stop it! Get away from me!" He clenched his head, falling down to the ground. Shivering like a child.
"No one can help you!" Sonic shouted to the fox. Breaking Tails' heart with words. "B-but you said-"
"Forget what I said! You are psycho! You can't be helped!"
That night changed everything.
"You...traitor" Miles' eyes darkened. The last of love and kindness vanished from his heart. Tails lifted his gaze to look at Sonic's eyes. Nothing but hate is left. "You are dead to me"
Sonic could barely react before he got pushed to the ground by the fox. He grunts through his teeth as Tails' hands wrapped themselves around Sonic's neck. The fox holding him down roughly with him on top. For a second Sonic is paralyzed, unable to move and speak. "You know what Sonic. You played with my emotions. I trusted you and you turn your back to me" Tails growled, but a smirk plastered on his muzzle.
"You know, you did a huge mistake even trying to play with me. Now, I will play with you~" His eyes stared into Sonic's, threatening him. It worked. "I will tear every heartstring away from that sore ball of yours until I can rip it out of your chest" He chuckled darkly. "Let's see how much fun you will have with me then, Sonikku~"
The memory faded, the last thing Sonic can remember is Miles' life threatening eyes festered onto his own. And he were god damn right about playing with him. He killed thousands, played with his friends.
Now what?
X
Present
His body shot up like a rocket from where he lays, panting heavily with sweat running down his face. His chest rising up and down as he tried to calm his heart from beating out of his chest.
Swallowing his fears, he managed to turn his head to look around his room. He remembered the way Tails put him out, so he feared he would be around and scare the living shit out of him at any minute.
Overall, his eyes gazed around the room to try and soothe himself. "Where am I now?"
Maroon red walls and an ivory ceiling. Only one lamp gives out light to the dark covered room. Sonic himself is placed on a soft, olive colored couch. Tucked into a thick soft blanket. 'Tails must have brought me here. After he shot me dead on...'
A coffee table is placed in front of him, its wooden color matching the walls. A plate with a few cookies and a cup of hot chocolate stands on the table. This brought Sonic to smile. 'He cares. Even after everything I have done and said...'
He raised his aching body up and reached his hand out to the hot chocolate. It's surprisingly warm, so it mustn't have been long since Tails made it. Sonic sipped a little out of the warm cup. Hot chocolate milk did the job on calming him down. His quills lowered to the feeling.
He drinked up the rest and munched down the cookies before he stood up. 'but, where is Tails?' This is always scary for the hedgehog, because he never knows where he might be. He can be plotting murder or maybe already out there doing so- or he can be hiding in this house. Waiting for him to arrive to whatever trap he have put up.
Sonic stepped over to what he thought is a good idea, what he hoped for was, the bedroom. He gulped down his nervousness as he twisted the door handle. Slowly the door opens and the hedgehog peeks inside. To his surprise, there lays a creature on the bed, sleeping soundly. The lump under the covers rising up and down.
Sonic stepped inside before carefully closing the door. He walked over to the fox's side. Looking at him. 'He looks so peaceful...'
The fox is barely moving, his body only rising up and down from breathing. Sonic, for once, fell at peace by looking at the fox. "Tails... I am so sorry" The hedgehog's ears fell flat on his head, thinking through an apology for the fox. He bent down on his knees, knowing the fox won't hear him, he carried on.
"I have been an ass to you. I know that now. I cheated on you, promised you a promise I couldn't hold and- broke you into pieces" Sonic counted his fingers as he mentioned each thing he had done. "You turned to this because of me and I am ready to bear the burden I gave you. I... can't forgive you and what you have done, but- I can't forgive myself either"
"I am sorry Tails..." Sonic reached his hand up to Tails' head, slowly scratching him between his ears. They perked, then slowly fell down. Sonic sees his eyes slowly opening
"Yeah, you are an ass" He says, a smile on his cheeks. "But I still love you. I always have" His eyes turned glossy, blinking a few times before he allowed himself to continue. "For all these years I let my anger blind me from reality. Instead of maybe giving you another chance, let you explain, I let my anger blind my heart. I led my pain to others who never deserved to feel the wrath that built up in me..." His actions are getting to him. His hand grasping the blanket beneath him.
Sonic didn't know how else to comfort him. Besides a thought that crossed his mind. He slowly stood up on his feet, getting a curious look from the fox. "What are you-?"
Sonic lays down behind Tails, wrapping his arm around the fox's chest, pulling him in for a hug. The action surprised the fox, but Sonic could feel Tails' heartbeat calm down as he snuggled into him. "S-Sonic...?"
The hedgehog didn't reply, he had no idea on how to talk back to him. He just- wants everything to be back to normal. "I'll give you another chance Tails. Can you-" Tails interrupted him with pushing his lips against his own. A surprised yelp came from the hedgehog. 'This caught me off-guard...'
They kissed for what feels like an eternity. Sonic feels Tails' eagerness as he climbed on top of the hedgehog, kissing him deeper by grabbing Sonic's head.
This didn't affect the hedgehog at all, he- kind of liked it. Oh who are we kidding, he loved it. This love have been lost to both of them for years, now they finally feel the heart beating warmth. Their love have been reunited, but for how long will this last?
Sonic had to force Tails' lips off to stop kissing him before he lost his breath. "Sorry hedgie~" Sonic's heart stopped at the sound of that nickname. He liked it way better than the first one. A small smile crept across his lips. "Did you like the way I kiss you?~ I can keep going if you want to-" Sonic quickly covered Tails' lips with his hand before things got out of it. "Eeeh, another time maybe" Sonic chuckled nervously. Tails shrugged and flopped down beside the hedgehog.
"So, about your memories-" Tails started. "I remember them..." None of them said anything after that. They both know what have happened. The only sound is the howling wind from outside, slamming into the walls. Tails' eyes moved over to Sonic's. He glanced over to the fox for a second, then back to the ceiling. He did this a few times before he gave in. "Let's start over. I can't take back the crimes I have done, but I can try and be a better person from now on... I... I am sorry..." Tails mumbled, then closed his eyes. 'He wasn't joking when he told me he feels like two different people... I barely recognize the fox'
Sonic smiled a little, shifting over to hug Tails from front.
"One thing Tails-"
"Mm?"
"Can you stop calling me Sonikku...?" He asked. Tails grinned. "Sure thing... Sonikku~"
The hedgehog groaned. "You Ass..."
