The sky was covered with dark grey clouds. A sour wind hit the blue blur's face as he woke up with a groan. His emerald green eyes wandered around the area he just fell asleep at. He had a worried expression on his face when he saw the sky was bulding up a storm, again. His eyes looked down on his lap and to his luck saw his loving kitsune. Sleeping peacefully on his lap. With a smile across his face.

'He must be dreaming something nice'

Sonic thought, but he had to wake him up. It was close to be a storm out here. And he don't want to be out here when it's starting. Sonic gently shook Tails' shoulder and wispered.

"Wake up~ Tails. Wake up little one."

Tails let out a small groan and opened his eyes slowly. He looked up at Sonic with sleepy eyes and sat up. When Tails' sight came back to normal. He looked around and felt the cold wind against his fur. He sent Sonic a questioned stare. Like he said: 'What is going on?' Without using words. Sonic stood up from where he sat and reached out a hand to Tails. Whitch he happily took.

"A storm is coming up. I think it's better for us to head home, don't ya think?"

Sonic said in his usual cool and relaxed tone. He was more worried about his love though. If a lightning decided to strike. Tails would be scared out of his own skin if it happend out here. So, Sonic decided to do it the easy way. He picked up his bro, bridal style,whitch surprised Tails alot, and boosted through the cold and windy forest. Wind and rain kicked Sonic in his face. While Tails burried himself in Sonic's grip to avoid the rain. Trees swayed back and forth in the wind. While Sonic ran with his lover in his arms. Safe with him. But Sonic had an odd feeling that someone were watching. He had no idea who tho. His head shook the thought away and continued running.

Sonic soon reached his house and let Tails down on the ground. Tails opened his eyes and looked at Sonic.

He smiled and touched his nose with his gently to his two-tailed genius before letting him down. The fox smiled along with a light blush and walked with Sonic inside. They sat down on the couch and relaxed. Once the relaxation began. A lightning crashed.

"AAAHHH!"

Tails shouted and crumbled himself close to Sonic for comfort. Of course, Sonic gave his lil' buddy a warm hug. "Everything is ok buddy. It's only lightning"

Sonic comforted the shaking fox.

"B-but I'm afraid of lightning!"

Tails cried out. Sonic giggled because he knew it from before. Under Sonic's hug Tails also smiled, even though it was lightning outside.

Seconds later Tails was asleep on the couch. The blur took a blanket and packed Tails in it so he won't freeze. Sonic decided to take his usual morning run. He kissed the yellow kitsune on the head and ran out. The dark grey clouds began to turn white and the morning sun shined bright and warmed Sonic's fur as he ran through the forest. A thought just randomly hit him. He haven't heard from Amy in awhile. Maybe she was still heartbroken. Or maybe....

"SONIKKU!!!"

She was here...

Sonic decided to let her do her thing and stopped. She ran over to him and gave him a breath taking hug.

"Hi...... A-Amy....i- can't breathe!"

She looked up at Sonic and his face has already turned purple. Amy let go of him to breathe. He sighed and looked at Amy with a smile.

"Hi Amy. What's up?"

Sonic nervously said, while Amy smiled bright.

"Oh Sonic! I'm great! I've been missing you so much!"

She smiled and gave Sonic another heart crushing hug. This felt unconfortable for him. Amy have been giving Sonic crushing hugs since he was a little kid and he knew they were only friendly. But now they were more like love hugs. Amy finally let go and were blinking sexy to him. Or she tried. Sonic knew what she ment.

"Amy. I said it before. I like someone else"

Amy's sexy face turned into an angry one. Her hammer popped up in her hands and looked at Sonic with the most scary and angry look he ever have seen her make.

"But you are supposed to be with me! Who is your crush?! Where is she?! I'm gonna smash her more flat than a pancake!"

Amy shouted the questions out to Sonic in anger. This scared Sonic. He actually got more surprised than scared. Having the thought that Amy is smashing Tails flat, is giving Sonic the creeps.

"Mrs. Amy? Why are you shouting so much? I could hear you from my house"

A little cute rabbit girl came out from behind the trees along with her Chao. That gentle voice everyone knew. Cream and Cheese.

Amy froze and her anger disappeared with her hammer. She turned around and smiled. Happy to see her best friend.

"Oh nothing Cream. I just saw a spider coming down and surprised me. That's all"

Amy smiled like she was innocent and Sonic only stood there and was way above relieved.

"Oh, ok. Hi Mr. Sonic. Haven't seen you in awhile. How are you?"

Cream smiled nicely to him. Happy that Cream was so kind and cute. In a friendly way of course. She always has been this way.

"I'm great Cream. Thank you for asking. Sorry, but I have to go. Haven't taken my morning run yet. See ya!"

After that Sonic boosted away from the girls. Happy to get out of the conversation.

Cream and Amy was left with no words. They just stood there, quiet.

Cream was the first one to speak.

"Was it only me or was Mr. Sonic acting weird? I mean. He never just runs away from his friends right?" Cheese 'Chaoed' in agreement.

She questioned Amy too, but got no response. Amy just walked away in silence with no emotion on her face. She wasn't angry, sad or happy. Just, blank. Cream was worried for her friends now. Amy were shouting a minute ago, nice in some seconds and now nothing. She just met Sonic and got an answer. Then he ran away and Tails haven't she seen in forever.

"Is it something i've been missing?"

"Chao chao?"

It was afternoon ( ca 5:30 ) when Sonic finished running.

"Woo hoo! Haven't been running so long in awhile. I really needed this!"

Sonic streched and smiled to himself as he reached his home. When he stepped inside and closed the door. Tails were still sleeping on the couch.

"Whoa. You must be really tired today, huh?" Sonic smiled and sat beside him. Then he felt that Tails were shaking, so he put a hand on his forhead and he felt sweat. Cold sweat. Tails were now whining in his sleep and began to twist around in his blanket. Sonic quickly held him in his arms and kissed him gently on the lips to make him wake up. Seconds later Tails shot up his bright blue eyes and began to cry. He breathed heavy and looked at Sonic with eyes of pain and hurt. He hugged him and continued to cry and shake. His tails wrapped themselfes around Sonic for warmth.

"It was horrible.. *sniff* Sonic. You were - you were.."

He could barely speak. Everything just came out as a sob.

"Don't say it buddy. It was only a nightmare. Only a nightmare..."

But one thing wasn't a nightmare. If they ever were going to tell their friends about their relationship. They couldn't tell Amy. What if she found out? How would she react? And worse. What would she do to Tails?

In the window someone were watching them hug and cry. The person thought that they were more than friends now.
