《That Special Brunette || Aro x Bella||》Éxi

Bella sat on the plush sofa with a book in her hand. It had been a few days since she found out Aro was her true mate. She was liking her time here.
The huge door opened and Aro stepped in. Aro came to sit beside Bella. Bella smiled at Aro.
"What are you reading?" He asked. "It's a book about different mythological creatures from around the world," Bella answered.
Aro hummed in response, while inhaling some air. That is when everything went haywire. The human assistant of Volturi had cut her wrist.
Bella could sense Aro becoming tensed besides her. Bella frowned in confusion, putting her the book on the table and placing her hand on Aro's cheek.
"Are you alright?" She asked. Aro opened his mouth to say he is alright but Bella's blood's scent reached his nostrils.
Aro's eyes turned coal black. His conscious self was conflicting with his blood lust. While his conscious self suggested him to ran out of the room and away from Bella, his blood lust said that he should sink his fangs in Bella's neck, sucking her blood.
"Are you alright, Aro?" Bella asked again. Aro didn't answered, still trying to find a way out of his conflicting selves.
Aro hadn't lusted for someone's blood like this for centuries and that gave Aro the impression that he can control his lust but in the current situation, it was quite opposite.
He could see Bella's pulse point in her neck. The tempting blood which flowed in her arms. Her heart beating in her chest, indicating her humanness.
His blood lust was overpowering his conscious self. The tempting scent of Bella's blood making his mind cloudy.
With a last sigh, losing himself into his blood lust, he grabbed Bella's wrists in his hands and pinned her on the sofa.

A gasp of surprise left Bella's throat. "Aro," she called but Aro didn't answer nor did he move. Bella could see him looking at her neck; or more like looking at the Carotid pulse in her neck.
An almost inaudible sorry left Aro's lips and he dived into the crook of Bella's neck, licking the pulse point before biting on it.
Bella let out an agonizing scream in pain but Aro didn't stop. Her discomfort was the least of his concern.
He sank his fangs in her neck, sucking her blood slowly. Bella's mouth was opened, screaming for help but it seems no one heard.
Aro's venom made its way into her body with his fangs, doubling Bella's pain. Aro was feeling satisfied.
The door suddenly opened, grabbing Aro's attention. He let go of Bella's neck, dropping her almost lifeless body with his venom inside it on the couch.
Aro turned his face to see Marcus, Caius, Jane and Alec standing there with open mouths, staring at Aro's now blood red eyes and his blood stained fangs.
That is when Aro realized what he just did. His eyes widened and he turned to look at Bella's unconscious body.
Only indicator of Bella being alive was her heartbeat. Her eyes closed, mouth shut and her body not moving except the occasional short breaths.
"It's good in a way, he wouldn't have to deal with a human," Caius said. Aro turned his gaze to Caius, glaring at him. "This supposed to happen some day. Better sooner than later," Caius shrugged.
"She will be alright, Aro," Marcus comforted. "I know she will," Aro whispered, still looking at Bella's unconscious body.
"Jane, call Heidi to dress Bella up. Inform the covens that their Queen will soon wake up," Aro ordered.
Jane nodded and ran to find Heidi and send all the covens the message.

The Laptop Hero (Portal/Isekai LitRPG)
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - April 2022 Silas got summoned to another world—by a group of kids attending magic school who seemed rather unhappy with the results of their ritual. After a brief glimpse of his summoners Silas woke in the town dump. Unable to speak the local language, a misunderstanding escalated and before long Silas wound up in a jail cell, the locals having confiscated all his worldly possessions aside from his laptop, which had formed some strange bond with him. Now he can summon his laptop at will, and he can view his Status, level up, and gain powerful skills and magic as if he were some character in a video game, which is great and everything, but all Silas really wants to do is sit in a dark room and play games on his laptop. Only, life isn't a game, and Silas needs to get his act together because everyone else is playing for keeps. Or does he? Maybe for Silas life is just one big game now, with everyone else stuck playing by his rules. Assorted Disclaimers, in no particular order: I am only posting this on RoyalRoad.com, so if you find my story elsewhere it was not posted by me. Please do let me know! While I do consider this a progression fantasy, and have tagged it as such, Silas's Status improvements will not necessarily proceed in a linear fashion. His RPG stats will have ups and downs, exploits and nerfs, periods of growth and stagnation. Such is the life of a gamer, to be held under the thumb of the all powerful devs, or in this case a certain goddess devoted to the idea of Balance. SIlas himself should learn and grow, improving and progressing in areas where he struggles, or rather, to show such is my goal. The story is told from multiple points of view. While other PoVs will come and go, Silas shall remain the only lead character. The world Silas finds himself on is not a nice place. Expect him to encounter gore and traumatizing content and bad people who do bad things for selfish (or possibly noble) reasons from time to time. Some characters will use profanity, however due to cultural differences the curse words used will differ from those used in our corner of reality, so I'm not including the profanity content warning. Silas himself isn't one for foul language. No explicit sexual content here. This novel is intended for mature readers, however, and will include mature topics, including, but not limited to, sex, violence, death, and taxes. No harem. Might be an eventual romantic interest, possibly even some competitive jealousy, yet as his story begins Silas is too overwhelmed with other concerns to consider long term plans. Musophobics might want to steer clear of this story. Same goes for turophobics. You have been warned. Keep in mind, however, if my other disclaimers didn't make this clear, I only have the faintest of outlines at the moment. This story will take me where it will. My goal with this story is to write it to the end, something of a long-term writing exercise, with the hope others might take an interest in my work and encourage me to keep at it. I've started a number of works before, even finished a few, but this is the first time I've shared any work in a public forum. My temporary cover was made by me, in GIMP using public domain images. If you can do better I'll happily accept your submission and give credit for your work here!
