《•°From Peer to Professor°• Severus Snape x Reader》Christmas Day

I had woken up a little earlier than everyone else and sighed. I lifted my head to see I was no longer in the guest room. Damn, I thought my plan had worked. But I guess Severus brought to my room after I fell asleep. I got up quietly and made my way into the guest room. Severus was still asleep. I inches my way to the bed and situated myself next to him. His facial expression was the same as always. I expected it to have been a little different compared to when he was awake, but I guess not. I decided to wake Severus up. It was Christmas Day after all. I leaned forward a little and whispered in his ear,
"Sevy, time to wake up. It's Christmas~"
He didn't wake up. A grin plastered itself onto my face. I whispered into his ear once more,
"There's a Dementor~"
He immediately woke up and sat up looking around the room frantically. I chuckled at this. But he didn't seem to think this was funny.
"Never, do that, again." He scolded.
I stopped laughing and responded,
"Alright, alright. I won't."
He relaxed and sighed.
"Hey, I'm sorry, Sevy." I said as I got on the bed and hugged him.
He groaned at my sappy display of affection as I swung my leg over his legs and sat on his lap to face him. He raised one brow at me. I leant forward to give him a quick kiss. Then, I got up. He looked upset at my teasing him.
"Why must you do this to me?" He said as he stood up from the bed.
"Do what? I was just waking you up is all." I replied with a grin.
I walked back over to him and grabbed his hand gently. I intertwined our fingers and looked into his eyes. I was startled when he leant forward and placed a kiss on my lips. Not as short as the one from a minute ago. We parted and I blushed a little.
"How about we go downstairs? The others will probably be awake any minute now." I told him.
Severus nodded and followed me out the door and down the stairs. I turned the corner and saw the beautifully lit Christmas tree. I spotted the gifts I had gotten for everyone and smiled. I then turned back to Severus who was behind me and pulled him over to sit on the sofa again. Soon we heard the sound of feet hitting the floor upstairs and then a shrill,

"Chwistmas!!"
Severus cringed at the high pitched voice and groaned rubbing his ears. I chuckled and watched as (B/N) came running around the corner with a big smile on his face. My parents walked in a couple seconds later and scolded (B/N) for being unnecessarily loud. I could tell Severus agreed with them. Once (B/N) was calm, everyone else sat down.
"Well then. Let's open up a couple gifts then, shall we?" My father asked us as he sat himself on the recliner.
(B/N) nodded his head vigorously.
"How about you bring the gifts to everyone (B/N)?" My mother told him.
He smiled and hopped off of her lap and ran over to pick up a gift for everyone. He then brought each individual gift to the person it was addressed to. I opened mine to find a new sketchbook and a set of sketching tools. I was ecstatic. I thanked my parents for the gift and looked over at (B/N). He had grabbed the gift I had given him. His eyes widened once he saw what was inside. I had gotten him a couple things from Zonko's in Hogsmeade right before the train left Hogwarts the other day.
After only a couple gifts were left, I noticed a particularly tall one behind the tree. It was a tall cylindrical box. I grabbed it and set it down on the coffee table. Even my parents looked at it quizzically. It was addressed to me, so I began unwrapping it. Once I saw what it was I jumped up and almost shrieked in a way. My parents looked at me and asked,
"What is it?"
My brother was startled by my outburst as well and was now eager to see what was in the packaging. I reached for the gift and pulled it out of the tube. It was a damn Silver Strider! With the intricately designed broom in one hand and the other hand over my mouth, I spun around to face Severus who had a slight grin on his face. I let go of my mouth and pulled Severus into a one handed hug.
"Thank you so much! How did you know I wanted that!?" I exclaimed as I sat back in my spot with the broom.
"I saw you look at it before going into the Apothecary the other day in Hogsmeade. I thought it would be the perfect gift for you." He replied.
I smiled at Severus as my parents looked in aw at the broom I had in my hand.

"Oh my goodness! That must have cost you a fortune Severus! What a lovely gift!" My mother told Severus as my dad just analyzed the broom's detailing.
"It was worth every galleon. I wanted to make (Y/N) happy." Severus responded.
I swear my heart is going to melt if he says anymore sappy stuff like that.
"Snow! Snooow!" I hear (B/N) exclaim as he points towards the window.
It was in fact snowing.
"How about we all go outside? (Y/N), you could even try out the while we're out." My father inquires as he walks over to (B/N).
"That would be fun! Let's all get changed first though." I chuckled.
We all got changed into more appropriate attire for the snow and then made our way to the front door. Before Severus and I had walked through the door, I stopped and turned around.
"Oh wait! You didn't open any of the gifts I got you." I told Severus as I rushed back over to the tree. I crouched and grabbed the package. Then, I stood back up and turned around to hand Severus the gift. He looked at me as if he didn't expect to receive any gifts. He then began opening it. Once he rid the gift of it's packaging, his eyes widened. He looked up at me and then back at the handbook.
"Where did you get this?" He asked me as he inspected the shiny gold cover of the book.
"In the Apothecary when I came looking for you yesterday. Did you not see it?" I asked.
"No, no. I didn't. This is absolutely beautiful. Thank you." He breathed out the last sentence.
I smiled and leant forward to place a kiss on his forehead. A miniscule of blush graced his face before we decided to head outside. As soon as I stepped outside, I was hit in the face with a snowball. I frantically wiped the snow off my face and saw (B/N) grinning deviously.
"Oh you're gonna get it!" I said as I leant my new broom against the side of the house, picked up a handful of snow, and began shaping it.
He squealed and tried to run away, but I threw it hard enough to hit him in the back of the head, knocking him over. I chuckled and said,
"That's what you get for messing with a Chaser!"
I was laughing until I was hit in the neck with another snowball, this time from behind me.
"Oh Severus.. You're on." I said.
The snowball fight went on for almost an hour until we all got hungry. We went inside and had a delicious breakfast, hot chocolate and all.

I was sad that it was already time for us to leave for the train station. I didn't want to leave, but at the same time I couldn't wait to get back to Hogwarts.
I had finished packing my suitcase and decided now would be a good time to give Severus my other gift to him. I entered the guest room with the gift behind my back and walked up to him.
"Hey Sev, I have another gift for you." I told him, causing him to look over at me after closing his suitcase.
I smiled at him as I handed him the wrapped gift. He looked at the gift, then back at me.
"Open it. We don't have forever." I joked.
He began opening it. Once the wrapping paper was completely removed, Severus' eyes widened.
I had drawn him with my charcoal pencil set after the Yule Ball. He looked back at me and surprised me with a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck, hoping to lengthen it a bit. We pulled apart for air.
"What was that for?" I chuckled.
"For this amazing gift. I can't say how much this truly means to me." He told me as he looked at the drawing again.
My mother called us from downstairs saying that we had to leave now. Severus and I parted from our embrace, allowing us to make our way to the car with our suitcases. Severus and I then got in the car after saying goodbye to my brother and father.
There was one minute left before the gateway to Platform 9 3/4 would close. We were rushing to get there, but once we did, it was closed.
"Damn it!" I exclaimed.
My mother sighed and began pacing, trying to think of another mode of travel. Severus spoke up and said what I hoped he hadn't said,
"It is possible for the two of us to Apparate to the Hogwarts Train Station. It would be much more time efficient."
I groaned and gave him a face that read, 'Why did you say that!?'
"What a great idea! Here are your things then. Have a great rest of your school year at Hogwarts you two!" My mother wished us.
"Thanks Mom! See you soon!" Is the last thing I said before the sickening spinning feeling reappeared.
