《•°From Peer to Professor°• Severus Snape x Reader》Diagon Alley

Severus woke up the next morning with a sigh. Not wanting to deal with the sleepiness that came with waking up, he threw the sheets off of himself and got dressed in his usual attire. He spotted (Y/N)'s little brother, (B/N) in the kitchen, looking through the fridge.
"And what would you be doing down here early in the morning?" Severus questioned (B/N), startling him.
(B/N) smiled when he saw it was Severus and ran over to him, reaching up and standing on his tippy toes, hinting for Severus to pick him up. Severus sighed and picked him up.
"Bekfast, Sevus!" (B/N) ordered and pointed towards the fridge he was previously raiding.
"And what might I ask would your ideal breakfast be?" Severus asked while he searched through the fridge.
"Eggs!" (B/N) exclaimed.
Severus raised a brow as he searched for the eggs. Once spotted, he grabbed the carton and set it on the counter, (B/N) still in one arm.
"I must set you down now, (B/N)." Severus said as he put (B/N) down.
(B/N) didn't want to just wait for breakfast, so he decided to go upstairs into his room. Severus turned on the stove and cracked an egg with one hand into the pan that was set atop the stove.
Unbenounced to Severus, (Y/N) had watched his conversation with (B/N) unfold and had a delighted grin on her face. She was extremely happy to see Severus and (B/N) bond. She decided to make herself known by walking up behind Severus and wrapping her arms around his chest and resting her chin on his shoulder. Severus jolted a little at the sudden embrace, but relaxed a second later.
"(B/N) loves eggs." (Y/N) chuckled.
Severus grinned slightly and continued preparing the eggs. (B/N) ran back in once the eggs were just about ready. He ran up to (Y/N), wanting to be put in his high-chair. (Y/N) let go of her and Severus' embrace and put (B/N) in his chair.
"What smells so good in here- Oh! There you all are!" (Y/N)'s mother is heard from the foot of the stairs.
"Severus is preparing some eggs for (B/N)." (Y/N) tells her mother.
"I was about to wake you both up, but I guess you two aren't used to sleeping in anymore." (Y/N)'s mother chuckled as she walked into the kitchen.
"I can take over Severus, thank you." (Y/N)'s mother smiled at Severus.
Severus nodded and made his way over to the table to set down a plate of eggs in front of (B/N).
"Tanks Sevus!" (B/N) smiles and begins eating his eggs right away.
Severus then walks back to the counter to take two more plates of eggs. He places one plate in front of (Y/N) and one in front of his chair. (Y/N) smiles and takes a seat. Once all four are sat at the table eating breakfast, a whooshing sound is heard from the fireplace. Heads turned to see (Y/N)'s father step out from the green flames.
"Papa!" (B/N) giggled at our father who walked over to the table.
He looked tired from working all night.
"Hello everyone." My father said with a tired voice.
"Hello dear. You sound very tired. Why don't you eat something and then rest, hm?" My mother told my father.
He said he had already eaten, so he just went to the bedroom to rest. After we had finished eating, my mother told us about what was planned for today.
"Since today is Christmas Eve, we should all head on down to Diagon Alley for a little, how does that sound?" My mother explains.

"Oh yes, that would be great!" I exclaimed.
"Diaon Allee!" (B/N) giggled.
Everyone got dressed in proper attire for the trip to Diagon Alley and then circled around the fireplace in the front room.
"Alright, now where did I put the floo powder.. Ah! There it is!" My mother grabs the little jar of floo powder.
"Oh dear. This looks like only enough for one trip." My mother sighed out.
Severus stepped forward and began speaking,
"With your permission Mrs. (Y/L/N), I am able to apparate, so I would be able to take (Y/N) to Diagon Alley whilst you use the last of the floo powder."
"Oh that would be so very helpful Severus. Well then! Come now (B/N)." My mother picked (B/N) up and uttered the words Diagon Alley while throwing down the last of the floo powder.
After the green flames died down, Severus spoke to me,
"I suppose you've never traveled by apparition before, correct?"
"Correct." I replied.
"You may feel nauseated the first time then." Severus added on to his previous statement.
"Great." I exhaled.
"Hold onto me. Then we'll apparate." Severus instructed me.
I blushed slightly at his sudden instructions, but complied anyways. Even though I just hugged him not half an hour ago, it seemed awkward now that I was instructed to hold onto him. I held onto his arm and closed my eyes. The sudden feeling of being thrown around hit me, making me feel, as Severus said, very nauseous. Once we stopped moving, I stumbled forward, holding my stomach.
"That was terrible." I said, feeling a little sick.
"Obviously." Severus retorted.
Once I wasn't nauseous anymore, I looked around to see a very busy Diagon Alley. I smiled and spotted my mother and (B/N) walking towards us.
"There you two are! How was your first time apparating (Y/N)?" My mother asks me.
"Not very great, but it was worth trying out." I replied.
"Alright then. How about you two look through some shops together. I need to walk by the Quill shop for your father, so you might as well do something else." My mother smiled at the two of us.
"Alright. Lets meet at Gringotts in a little while then. I'm headed to the Quidditch Supplies store first." I smiled.
"Alright dear. Have fun!" My mother smiled at me for a split second before (B/N) began tugging at her dress to get her attention about something.
I grabbed Severus' hand and pulled him in the direction of the Quidditch Supplies store. He freed his hand just before we got to the door, causing me to turn around and look at him quizzically.
"What's the matter?" I inquired.
"We're in public, you can't be seen with a Professor in that manner." He explained.
"Oh yeah. I forgot." I chuckled.
"Well, how about we split up for a little. I'll go in here, and you can go wherever you want." I said.
Severus nodded and began walking in the direction of what seemed to be Mr. Mulpepper's Apothecary. Of course, I smiled and entered the Quidditch Supplies shop. I noticed a new broom model in the window. It was a Silver Strider! I heard about it before, but I didn't know it was being released before Christmas time. I was so perplexed to see it right in front of me. I looked at the price. Damn, that's expensive. I sighed and looked around a little longer before leaving the shop in search of Severus. I decided to make my way through the crowd and into Mr. Mulpepper's Apothecary. I couldn't see Severus anywhere. I took advantage of this in order to look for something Severus might like. I spotted a book in a display case. It had gold lettering and a decorative gold binding. I walked closer and read the title. It was a newly released Potion-making handbook. It included the instructions to almost twice as many potions as any previously published handbook. I was definitely getting this for Severus. Now where can I find the salesclerk..?

After purchasing the book, I hid it in my bag, which was enchanted to fit many items inside without affecting it's weight and appearance. I then made my way towards Gringotts. I spotted my mother outside of the Bank, holding (B/N). Still no sign of Severus.
"Hey Mom! Have you seen Severus recently?" I asked, looking around the crowd of people.
"No dear, I thought he was with you?" She replied, causing me to sigh.
After a minute or two, I heard a voice behind me,
"Sorry to have kept you all waiting. I had some business to attend to."
I spun around to see Severus standing there. How does he sneak up on me like that so easily!?
"Oh it's quite alright Severus! Are you all ready to go back home? I picked up some floo powder today so you won't have to apparate with Severus again (Y/N)." My mother explained.
"Oh thank Merlin!" I exclaimed, causing Severus to roll his eyes at my exaggerated statement.
"Here you are. I'll see you both at home." My mother handed me some floo powder and smiled before stepping into the fireplace with (B/N).
They both disappeared in the green flames. I went next. As soon as I exited the fireplace at home I saw Severus appear. Apparition always seemed so interesting to me, but one time surely was enough for now. I smiled at him and set my bag down on the sofa in the living room. I couldn't wait to give Severus his gift. But before then, I had a more homemade gift to work.
Dinner was delicious. I don't think I've eaten this well since the feast on the first day of school this year. My mother was wrapping gifts in the bedroom while my dad and (B/N) were picking out music to play on the record player. I decided to knock on the door to get some gift wrapping supplies from her. I got a roll of wrapping paper and some gold ribbon from her and then headed upstairs into my room. I wrapped up the gifts I had gotten for my family in hogsmeade a couple days before and then reached for my bag on the bed. Which of course, I had forgotten on the sofa. I retrieved it and then hurried back upstairs. I wrapped Severus' gift in Emerald Green wrapping paper and then bound it with the gold ribbon. I nearly forgot about the other gift I had been working on and wrapped that as well.
"Aaand done!" I said as I set the gifts aside.
I heard someone clear their throat at the door and turned to face the person. Severus was leant against the door frame with his arms crossed over his chest. I got up with all the gifts in my arms and made my way to the door.
"Hey Sev." I kissed him on the cheek as I walked by.
He seemed startled by my actions, but followed behind shortly after. In the living room, I set the gifts under the tree. My father had started playing some Christmas songs on the record player whilst my mother retrieved the cookies she had made from the kitchen. My brother was passed out on my father, who was sitting in the recliner at the moment. I walked over to the sofa and motioned for Severus to come sit down next to me. He complied and sat stiffly on the sofa.
"Why so stiff?" I asked.
"I always sit like this." Severus replied as though it were normal the way he sat.
"Relax a little then." I smiled.
He listened and relaxed into the sofa and closed his eyes. Probably enjoying the cozy feel of leaning back. I smiled. A couple seconds later, my mother walked in. She had a tray of the cookies she had made and set them on the table.
"Mmm, smells good mom." I said as I reached for a cookie.
"Ouch!" I exclaimed, dropping the cookie back on the tray.
I heard Severus scoffed at my action, which I thought contained a bit of a chuckle. I glared at him a bit as I rubbed my hand. My mother smiled and then spotted (B/N) who was fast asleep. She decided to put him to bed and brought him upstairs.
"How about we pick a board game to play?" I hear my father ask.
"Alright, I'll go grab one." I replied.
Once everyone was sat in the living room, we began playing the board game I had picked out. An hour passed and I was already getting sleepy. Our game ended and I heard my father yawn.
"I believe it would be best to turn in for the night." My father says, getting up from the recliner.
"Agreed. We'll clean up the board game, goodnight Mom, Dad." I said as they both made their way to their bedroom.
They both gave us a smile and disappeared up the stairs. Severus and I were the only ones left in the room once the board game was put away. I sighed and turned my body towards Severus who was no longer sitting on the sofa.
"Tired?" I asked.
"Extremely." He replied.
I chuckled and grabbed his hand, leading him upstairs and into the guestroom. Then, I pushed his shoulders back, causing him to sit back on the bed. I climbed onto his lap facing him and smiled. Severus' faced reddened a bit. I guess he's thinking back to when we were in his quarters after the Yule Ball. We sat there for a couple seconds before I asked,
"Can I sleep here with you tonight?"
"And if one of your parents walk in, then what?" He replied.
"I guess you make a valid point.. At least let me stay here for a little bit longer though, Sev." I asked.
He sighed and moved back a bit to lean against the headboard of the bed as I rested my head on his shoulder.
I closed my eyes from the sensation and leant my weight against Severus' chest, causing him to tense up a small bit before relaxing. I guess I got a bit too comfortable because the last thing I remember is falling asleep in his arms.
(Y/N) fell asleep shortly after she had rested her head against my shoulder. I sighed and decided to bring her to her room. I got up with her in my arms, brought her to her bed, and covered her with the sheets. I turned after a couple seconds and left to go to sleep.
