CONTINUATION...

"You." Beatrice spoke. A cold but fueled with anger stare, staring right into them who tried to cover themselves up before trying a say another word.

"Bea, please. I can explain all of this. It was a mistake." He tried to explain.

"What fucking explanation do you want to give me?! I knew from the start that you were just like the rest of these people who can't get enough and look for someone to fuck with." Beatrice tried to calm herself down by speaking, but her rage remained. Beatrice immediately remembered Ava when she realized she couldn't trust this jerk. The love of her life crying over a boy who doesn't know how to handle situations properly.

"Please let me be the one to tell her." JC pleaded.

"I don't know what the hell you think you're doing. The sooner you tell her, the better." Beatrice spoke and quickly left the room, she then met Lea standing in front of her with confusion on her face.

"You better tell these people that the party is over." Beatrice said. But before she walk away, Beatrice spoke again.

"JC seems to like fooling around with different women. He is no better than we were." Beatrice said. Lea was confused again as she watches Beatrice walk past her and the door of the room where Beatrice came out opened and saw JC with another woman who immediately left. JC stood there with a guilty look in his eyes and sighed out loud.

"What the hell did you do, JC?" Lea asked. Her disappointment was palpable and heartbreaking. She is in the middle of two people to whom she is related and displays a personality inherited from their father. While his sister questioned him, JC remained silent and looked down at the ground.

Beatrice finally exited the building and returned to her dorm room. When she opened the door, she found Ava in her usual dorm outfit, her fitted shorts and her oversized shirt, which was Beatrice's favorite shirt. Beatrice stood there watching the younger girl finish what she was doing before she could open her mouth and say anything.

"Hey, I'm back..." Her voice was a whisper but it was enough to make Ava turn around to look at her, Ava smiled as soon as she saw Beatrice but immediately frown when she noticed a bloodstain on Beatrice's cheek.

"Oh my god, Bea. What happened? Whose blood is this? Are you hurt?" Ava asked worryingly, she approached Ava and immediately hugged her before she checked on her again.

"Bea, what happened?" Ava asked softly, she was gentle with the older girl. Ava was looking up to Beatrice who was staring down at her, staring deeply into her eyes. Beatrice looked at Ava and immediately her breathing became stable. She was losing her breathing rhythm because she was trying so hard not to lose her temper.

"It was some trouble maker who crossed the line. I reacted, right now I felt horrible because I became somebody that I have been trying to hide, Ava..." Beatrice replied.

"Bea..." Ava spoke.

"Hush... I just need to breathe and calm down." Beatrice replied, She broke free from Ava and sat in her chair, checking her hand, and winced slightly as she felt the pain in her previously numb hand. It's been a long time since she hit someone, but it's not even half as bad as it used to be because she would end up in the hospital without her parents knowing, she would skip run away from the hospital, and give nurses incorrect phone numbers just so they wouldn't contact her parents.

Beatrice was lost in her thoughts; Ava had already taken the medical kit she was carrying; she placed the medical kit on the table and voluntarily sat on Beatrice's lap, caressing both of Beatrice's cheeks and staring at her.

"Hey, look at me. I don't know what happened. But you're okay, you're alright. Whatever it is, you know I'm on your side." Ava spoke, her thumb caressing her cheek. Beatrice found herself staring back at Ava, their faces were inches close. Ava was mesmerized by Beatrice's eyes. Beatrice's arms locked around Ava's waist, pulling her close. Ava suddenly found herself panicking right away, she was closer to Beatrice, and she could hear her heart beating fast as they kept staring at each other. Beatrice took a deep breath and just closed her eyes and rest her head on Ava's chest, Ava found herself sighing out of relief.

She was nervous because Beatrice was giving her a strange look that she couldn't figure out. Beatrice just felt guilty for being her old self after all these years; the people around her here respect her, and now it's going to be like high school again, where people will fear her instead. She didn't want to go through that again, especially now that she had Ava. She didn't want her beloved to look at her differently or be treated differently, which she didn't want.

She could lose everything else except her, before the thought of Ava keep her sane but now that she could hold her hand, hug her, see her smile. This is something to keep her going every day, Beatrice pull back from hugging Ava and smiled softly at her.

"I feel better," Beatrice spoke.

"That's good, now let's clean this up. We don't want any infection." Ava replied, smiling at her while opening the kit and preparing the things she needed to clean up the wound.

Beatrice suddenly remembered JC, and the rage within her resurfaced. She was debating whether or not to tell Ava what she had witnessed, but it is her right to know that the man she calls her love is an asshole who is sleeping with another woman. Beatrice fixed her gaze on Ava, who was tending to the wounds on her knuckles.

"What?" Ava asked.

"I have something to tell you." Beatrice said.

"What is it?" Ava asked, she was busy cleaning Beatrice's wounds while waiting for Beatrice to ask her the question. Beatrice went silent right after saying those words, now she was contemplating. Ava then stopped doing what she was doing and look at Beatrice.

"What is it, Bea?" Ava asked, she look at her confused.

"I... Um. There's this..." Beatrice tried to put her words together but she was nervous to tell her. She didn't want to ruin it and would want JC to man up and tell Ava himself the mistake he made.

"Beatrice?" Ava asked again.

"There's this party that will be held at my parents'. It's a private mansion with a view of the ocean. Dad told me that I could bring my friends over and I wanted you to come. You, Camila. I invited your oldest sister and Mary. So, what I wanted to ask was. Do you want to come with me for a few days?" Beatrice replied.

" Of course! I would love to come!" Ava said.

"Even better. I get so bored when I attend that place alone." Beatrice replied.

"Aww, you..." Ava said and continued cleaning Beatrice's wound. Beatrice flinched a little. Ava mocked Beatrice and proceeded to wrap it with a bandage, Beatrice smiled and Ava started to stand up to clean up.

"Tomorrow will be a long day for you, Ms. President. Get enough rest, okay?" Ava said to her, fixing the things she had used, and throwing the cotton into the trash bin before she closed the medical kit. Beatrice stood up and hugged Ava from behind, this was their thing ever since they were kids. Hugging. Physical touch. Beatrice just rested her chin on Ava's shoulder who stopped doing what she was doing.

"Please lay down with me, just for tonight." Beatrice whispered to her ear, Ava felt a different feeling, Ava bit her bottom lip as she found herself gripping onto the table. Ava closed her eyes and took a deep breath before turning around and smiling at Beatrice.

"Of course, I'll wash up." Ava spoke softly. Beatrice gradually lets Ava go, and Ava walks to the bathroom, stumbling slightly along the way. Her legs were wobbly like jelly, her mind was elsewhere, and she was doubting herself. 'What am I doing wrong right now?' ' She thought to herself as she went about her business in the bathroom. Ava emerged from the bathroom after a few minutes of freshening up and immediately searched for Beatrice, who was not on her bed.

Ava entered the room from the other side and noticed Beatrice passed out on her bed. Ava stared at Beatrice as she fell asleep peacefully. Her attention was drawn to the thought. Are you still haunted by your past? Do you still suffer from pain after all these years? How much longer are you going to fight yourself? Ava scolded herself by crossing her arms. She was panicking earlier because Beatrice spoke near her ear, and she is now concerned. Ava scoffed to herself before deciding to take Beatrice's hand in hers, slowly intertwine their hands, and sit on the floor, allowing all her weight to be supported by the side of the bed. Ava closed her eyes and waited a minute before finding herself asleep.

Ava drew Beatrice onto the bed, and Beatrice did not object; she simply lay down beside Ava, and Ava pulled Beatrice's shirt to make her move closer to her, which Beatrice did; Beatrice wrapped her arms around Ava, who rested her head on Beatrice's chest; Ava immediately closed her eyes and fell asleep, and Beatrice did as well.

"Goodnight, Ava." Beatrice whispered then planted a soft kiss on Ava's forehead. The two women fell asleep in each other's arms and let themselves feel safe and sound sleeping.

The next day, both of the girls were awakened by a loud knock. The loud knock on their door irritated Beatrice. Beatrice slowly moved away from Ava as she shuffled out of her sleep. "Hold on, I'll go get the door..." Beatrice said to Ava, who hummed and let go of her. Beatrice stood up and answered the door quickly. The school's assistant secretary greeted her as soon as she opened the door.

"Mr. R? Is there something I can do for you?" Beatrice asked as soon as she swung the door open.

"Ms. Hansen, the head would like to have a word with you. It's about the incident last night." Mr. R replied. Beatrice could feel herself letting out a sigh and slowly nodded her head.

"Thank you, I'll head there as soon as possible." Beatrice said, Mr. R left and Beatrice immediately grab her varsity jacket and fixed herself in front of the mirror, and headed out right away. She texted Ava on the phone saying that something came up and it was urgent. After she hit the send, she put her phone inside her pocket and headed directly to the office.

Beatrice knew the ramifications of this and is now prepared to face whatever the deal is. Beatrice held her head up and adjusted her jacket and eyeglasses before knocking on the door and swinging the door open. She entered the quiet room and saw Travis Lawrence and his two siblings, Lea and JC. Beatrice simply gave them a cold look before stopping in the middle of the room.

"Ms. Hansen. May we know what you have to say about hurting one of our students?" The Head asked, she was busy looking through her paper and did not even glance up to look at Beatrice.

"I lost my temper. I don't like anybody touching me." Beatrice spoke with confidence.

"Did you violate our School President, Mr. Lawrence?" The other official asked.

"The bitch is making up excuses anyway, the wrong here is her beating me!" Travis replied.

"The answer is yes or no, Mr. Lawrence. Again, did you violate Ms. Hansen?" The Head spoke this time again. Travis bit his inner cheeks because he was irritated.

"No." Travis replied.

"FYI, sorry to interrupt. Before we keep debating who was wrong, I would like to tell you personally that Mr. Travis Lawrence threw a party, breaking the school ground rules and sneaking alcohol that was prohibited during the weekdays. That is all." Beatrice spoke, with her calm tone.

"Bitch you-"

"DO NOT! Call me any filthy name you want because you've been causing trouble since the beginning, and I assume your parents couldn't discipline a little boy like you. I don't regret bruising you; I came to that stupid party you throw to warn you, but instead, I bruised you. You decided to prove to your friends that you were tougher than me." Beatrice spoke, her voice was threatening, her eyes darting towards Travis. She could lose herself again and this time she might find herself killing Travis.

"Who the fuck do you think you are?!" Travis yelled. Lea scolded Travis and JC gripped Travis's shoulder.

"You are talking to Ms. Beatrice Hansen, the school president of the university and a woman who has ambitions and goals to reach, you are not even half of this woman. Watch your language and the next time you break the rules, Ms. Hansen will take care of you." The Head spoke. Beatrice remained quiet and held her head up, she knew she has the power and she has these people's favor. Beatrice could see the anger in Travis's eyes and Beatrice just raised him an eyebrow.

"Please leave. Ms. Hansen, we would like to talk to you alone." The head spoke. Lea and JC motion for Travis to get up and head out of the office right away.

"JC." Beatrice spoke right before the three siblings head out of the office.

"Tell her or I will." Beatrice spoke again, JC felt unease and immediately left the office along with his siblings behind. As soon as the door closes, Beatrice brought her attention back to the three people sitting across her.

"Ms. Hansen, a form of violence on our school grounds is prohibited. You know that violence is not an answer to deal with a scoundrel like him." The Head spoke.

"Yes, I am well aware of that, miss. But only according to my own set of rules. Nobody should touch me because if you do. It doesn't matter who you are anymore; my only thought is to show you aggression to remind you that I do not like it when someone violates me. Mrs. Kurt, you know that." Beatrice replied, her cold tone causing Mrs. Kurt to look up at her. The silence was deafening enough to make everyone look at Beatrice, who was staring at her with a sharp, cold stare.

"If there's nothing else more, I would like to leave. I got duties." Beatrice spoke again, she nod once and walked out of the office. Beatrice came out of the office and was greeted by Lea, Lea looks like she hasn't slept since last night, Beatrice continued walking and Lea walked beside her.

"Did you tell her?" Lea asked.

"Tell her what?" Beatrice asked back.

"Ava, did you tell her about what you saw last night?" Lea asked.

"I told JC that he should be the one to tell or I will." Beatrice replied.

"But, are you planning to tell her if JC wouldn't admit it?' Lea asked.

"What kind of stupid question is that, Lea? Of course, I will tell Ava." Beatrice replied.

"Are you going to tell Ava because it is the right thing or you just want to tell her because you're in love with her and you want to make a move." Lea asked, Beatrice stopped walking and this time she faced Lea and looked at her with a death stare.

"Be careful with your words, Lea. If I wanted to make my move, you knew damn well I could but I didn't. You're not my mirror, you're not my reflection." Beatrice replied.

"Beatrice." Lea said.

"If you tolerate him cheating. Then, he is no different from your father and you." Beatrice replied, coldly enough for Lea to shut her mouth. Beatrice walked away, leaving Lea behind her, she headed straight back to her dorm room.

She walked past the hallways on the west building and eventually made it back to the dorm building. Beatrice opened the door of the dorm and found Ava sleeping on her bed. Beatrice sat in her chair and opened her laptop to go over her schedule. When she suddenly recalls Quinton and little Bea at the hospital.

Beatrice closed her eyes and rested her head on her desk, debating whether to visit later. She was exhausted after only a few hours of sleep. She realized she had slept, and she had slept soundly earlier, possibly because she knew she felt calm and safe when she was with Ava. She lets out a sigh.

"Hey... What are you doing?" Ava asked suddenly.

"I'm just checking if I have any things to do. Did I wake you up?" Beatrice replied.

"Come back to bed, please?" Ava said. Beatrice felt butterflies on her stomach, she had never seen this side of Ava all throughout the school days, and she likes it. She's so in love with this woman, Beatrice wanted to just walk up to this woman and kiss her.

"Come on, let's get you to bed. You don't have any class?" Beatrice asked.

"Nope, I got night classes today." Ava whines and Beatrice just smiles and led her back to the bed where they lay in the same position they had last night, Ava closed her eyes immediately and Beatrice played with Ava's hair. Beatrice relaxed and continued playing with Ava's hair.

"Have you talked to JC yet? He was at the party last night." Beatrice spoke. Ava hummed, Beatrice knew she was falling back to sleep and she did, Beatrice continued to play with Ava's hair and Beatrice found herself speaking softly.

"I want to tell you something, something that I don't want to keep because you're my best friend. You're my best friend and you're so important to me... I can't bear to see you hurting because of him. But I cannot force myself to be in between, win you like you're some trophy." Beatrice whispers.

"I love you... I always have, since I was 14. I knew I felt different whenever I'm with you. Whenever I'm near you. Everything around me stops for a moment, it's like you standing in the middle of the seven billion people in the world and my eyes will always find you." Beatrice continued.

"I would play with fire, chase the stars, run a thousand miles just for you..." Beatrice said lastly. Beatrice glances down at the sleeping Ava and brushes a few strands of her hair over her ear.

"My god, you're beautiful..." Beatrice whispered as she stares at Ava sleeping peacefully in her arms. Beatrice closed her eyes and finds herself falling asleep as well, letting the world do its thing, Beatrice felt happier as she is hold her whole world in her arms.
