Hello readers, I'm back to writing these chapters because I have free time and I had a chance to write and put together a plot that I wanted to happen. Enjoy reading!

While Beatrice watched the doctor monitor Danielle, Ava sat in the chair, giggling with the little girl and her small teddy bear. Beatrice turned around to find Ava and the little girl giggling and playing with the tiny bear in their hands. Beatrice sat beside Ava, who smiled at her and resumed playing with the young girl, the love of her life carrying the child they would nurture into a lovely human being filled with love and care as a true parent should. The small girl handed the teddy to Beatrice, who just returned it to the joyful little girl.

"Hello, little Bea." Beatrice softly greeted them with a soft and warm smile to the child.

"You don't really have that cold heart, huh? Well, not with children." Ava teased Beatrice, who returned her gaze to the small child, who was simply smiling and giggling. Beatrice then remembered that they were scheduled to go out and eat, and she planned to do it with a plus one.

"Let's go grab a bite in McDonald, it's not that far from here. We could bring the little one." Beatrice suggested.

"Um, what about her mother? Aren't we supposed to wait until she wakes up?" Ava asked.

"I don't think she would be waking up soon. Come on, let's treat the little one. I'm sure she's hungry." Beatrice replied.

"Which little one? Me or this kiddo?" Ava asked, pouting at Beatrice. Beatrice simply rose up and shook her head. Ava rose up and told Little Bea, in her baby voice, that they were going to eat at McDonald's. Beatrice informed the nurse that they would be going out to dine and feed the little child, and she provided the nurse with her phone number so she could contact her when Quinton awoke. After that, Beatrice approached Ava and gently held the kid in her arms.

"You're still hurt, sit down. I will go grab the wheelchair. You can't walk right away." Beatrice said.

"Bea. I'm okay, I can still walk. Just limping." Ava replied.

"Please don't be stubborn, Ava. The child is way more behave than you as the adult." Beatrice said. Ava scoffed and sat down, irritated in her expression, while Beatrice smirked behind her back as she returned to request the wheelchair while carrying the small child in her arms. After a minute, she thanks the nurse and returns to Ava, who was sitting in the chair with her arms crossed across her chest.

"Come on. I'll guide you to stand up and sit down comfortably on the wheelchair." Beatrice said. Ava sat there with her arms crossed, acting as a child after being compared to a little girl who was more obedient and quiet than her; she was a little envious, but it was amusing that she was jealous of a child she had never met. Beatrice waited a minute before placing the tiny girl next to Ava and told her that the little woman beside her needed to be babied. After whispering to young Bea, who giggled, Ava arched an eyebrow at Beatrice, who immediately regarded her.

The next thing Ava knew was being lifted up, Beatrice lifted her up from the chair for seconds and place her down on the wheelchair. Ava was stunned by Beatrice's action, Beatrice carried little Bea in her arm and set her down on Ava's lap. She pushes the wheelchair until they reach the entrance of the hospital.

"Stay here. I'll get the car." Beatrice whispered to Ava who nodded her head because her attention was on the little girl who suddenly snuggled to her, Ava felt herself softened by the little girl's action and it felt like having a child of your own and feeling the love back from them because they see it from you and so they give it back. Little Bea rested her head on Ava's chest as Ava hugged the little girl and give her warmth. Beatrice, on the other hand, left the parking spot she had parked her car and proceed to drive all the way to the entrance door of the hospital, the moment she pulled over she witnessed a beautiful sight.

"God, please forgive me for being pushy but can I just have this?" Beatrice whispered. She watched the two girls cuddling right there as she intentionally move slower because she wanted to remember this, she wanted to keep this in her mind that even if she could never have Ava as her lover and create a family just like this if only she could wish to a genie in a bottle she would. She slowly approaches the two who seemed to be lost in their own world, Beatrice finally stood in front of them and hesitated to touch Ava on her cheek but she realize that she was not going to lose anything, Beatrice extended her hand and slowly touched cheek.

"Hmm." Ava hummed, Beatrice smiled and went from behind to push her wheelchair, they manage to reach the car and Beatrice help Ava to stand up slowly as Ava doesn't want to wake the little girl up.

"Slowly, slowly, slowly..." Beatrice whispers softly as she helps Ava get inside the car.

They drove for around 30 minutes before heading to McDonald and bought food for Ava and the little girl who enjoyed the kiddie meal because of the toy, Beatrice was carrying little Bea this time and feeding her the nuggets and fries, Ava was watching them and manage to take a few photos and videos of Beatrice and little Bea playing together.

"You'll be a great mother someday," Ava said. Little Bea snuggled to Beatrice and Ava couldn't help but smile.

"I don't know, I'm quite selfish. And too young to even think about it." Beatrice replied as she stared at the child who was smiling and giggling.

"You don't know that not unless you try." Ava said.

"Ava, all my life ever since Quinton. Ever since I messed up my life just because of my personal matters, I was so selfish. I made bad decisions before only for me to forget y-. Look, I just know that I am not ready to become a mother. I barely have the courage to tell the person I have been in love with for so long." Beatrice's voice went softer after blurting the last words of her sentence. Ava caught that and thought of putting herself in Beatrice's position where she overthinks things and never speaks them up ever again.

Ava wondered what reasons Beatrice had before or up until now, that she calls herself selfish. Ava wondered how much her best friend had suffered and she wasn't around to help her, guide her, comfort her, or listen to her and she almost lost her path for just the "so-called-selfish-acts". Beatrice did not lose herself on the wrong path but it changed her big time.

"Who is this lucky person you're in love with for so long, hm? Do I know this person?" Ava asked.

Beatrice hesitated for a minute as she tries to create a sentence that will not expose her feelings towards her own best friend, she was staring elsewhere and was avoiding the eyes of the only woman who would bring her down to her own knees and declare the love she felt. She took a deep breath and swallowed hard before opening her mouth, just to make sure that she won't spit any hints.

"Well, you don't know them. I don't think you'd meet them too because... We got separated for so long as well. Every day my heart would ache for them because I've been longing for their touch, their smile, their laugh. Everything about them. I just... Know it will be impossible for us to happen." Beatrice replied. Ava stared at Beatrice, listening to every word she say.

"How sure are you that you and that person you love will be impossible?" Ava asked. Beatrice made eye contact with Ava before telling her answer.

"They're in love with someone else," Beatrice replied with a forced smile.

Ava felt her heartache for her best friend, she could see in Beatrice's eyes that she really loved the person she was talking about, Ava felt jealous again but this time with how the real love is, from what she can see Beatrice. It is the type of love she would never experience but the type of love she wants to have. Beatrice's thoughts towards the person she loves get to Ava.

"I wonder what that feels like." Ava said.

"Like what?" Beatrice asked.

"To be loved by you." Ava replied. The two had intense eye contact, Beatrice was just staring at Ava and so was Ava staring back to Beatrice. The two were just having an eye battle and did not care about what was going on around them, Ava slowly smiled and Beatrice smiled back as well as they continue eating.

"Oh my! Hello, little one!" A random stranger greeted little Bea who smiled at the stranger while playing with the toy she had gotten from the kiddie meal.

"What is her name?" The female stranger asked with a big smile.

"Bea. Bea is her name." Beatrice replied with a proud smile like a parent would be when introducing their child to a stranger or to anyone they would meet.

"How old is she?" They asked. Beatrice started to panic because she doesn't know much about the little girl. She was silent for a minute while the stranger couple

"Our little angel right here is 6. I'm sorry about my wife, she was so distracted these days and zoned out for a bit. Mom was pushing her hard for the CEO presidential seat so. She's 6, honey." Ava replied for Beatrice and reach out Beatrice's hand to hold.

Beatrice froze, she was getting butterflies and she knew that the effect from Ava was stronger, this is the love of her life, she's crazy about Ava and she cannot deny how much she's in love with this woman and would do anything and would give up her cold walls just to let this woman right here love her. She could feel her heart beating so fast and could not do anything about it. Right before she could speak, her phone started ringing.

"Excuse me, I have to take this." Beatrice spoke politely as she stood up and hand little Bea to Ava. The phone call was from Lea, Beatrice excused herself and stood up to go out to answer the phone call.

"Lea." Beatrice replied.

"Hey, is Ava with you? JC kept bugging me if you're with Ava." Lea said. Beatrice sighed before replying to her friend.

"Yes, I'm with Ava." Beatrice replied.

"JC told me that she got hurt and was sent to the clinic, but because JC got a game today he couldn't come to visit the clinic and asked me to do it when I came here. I don't see you nor Ava." Lea said.

"I brought her to the hospital. She sprained her ankle and I am sure that the nurse in our beloved clinic won't do much." Beatrice replied. There was a moment of silence right before Lea started to speak again.

"Alright, I'll just tell JC. Please be careful." Lea said. Beatrice just thank Lea and then ended the call, she look from afar before she tried to go back inside when her phone started ringing again. She checked the caller and it was her father.

"Hey, dad." Beatrice immediately answered right away.

"Hey, little sunshine." Her dad replied. She felt warm after hearing her father's nickname for her. She usually hears that name whenever her mother is not around and if her dad will have to talk to her about something.

"Are you okay? Do you want me to call Doctor Dale to check your health?" Beatrice asked.

"Honey, I'm alright. I just want to call and ask how you are. I didn't have the chance to check on you ever since the arguments with your mother." Her father replied, Beatrice remained silent as she listens to him talking. She and her father never had a heart-to-heart talk ever since what happened with Quinton but she knew her father looks after her even if he doesn't say much to her.

"I'm a great dad. Just busy with my studies." Beatrice replied coldly, her usual self whenever she is around her parents, the way she talks and acts.

"Um, I just found out from your mother that you guys will have a university break." Mr. Hansen said.

"Ah yeah, I heard that mom talked to the upper hands for that, why did she have to do that?" Beatrice questioned. She doesn't like it when her mother would put everything else here in the university on hold just so she could host a party again for the rest of the wealthy friends she has in the business world. Her father does have friends but it was just at work and won't put everything in halt just to host a party to show her off again to potential suitors that she will never pay attention to.

"I'll just fix the rest of what I will be needing before I come over." Beatrice added.

"The party will be out of town, Beatrice. That is why I'm calling you, I was gonna tell you that you could bring your friends with you. Just so you won't feel a little out of place?" Mr. Hansen spoke.

Beatrice thought of inviting Ava, that was her first thought. She wanted Ava to come with her out of town with her twin sister and the rest of the friends they had at the university, Beatrice only wishes that Ava would not ask for a plus or low key asking her if JC could come with them. Beatrice was hoping that it won't really happen.

"I'll think about it dad, okay? Thanks for telling me." Beatrice said.

"Are we expecting you to be there, Beatrice?!" Her mother's voice echoed at the background.

Beatrice kept her mouth shut, she wanted to say no, she wanted to decline but knowing this party is important for her parents and for her so-called "future" Beatrice have no choice but to go, this time she can invite her friends and so it wouldn't be such a bad idea to get entertained by these people who can be also the life of the party.

"I'll come, I'll send you the names who will come with me to the party," Beatrice spoke. Her tone always sounds so firm and cold. She immediately hung up and put her phone back inside her pocket and get back inside to find the people were gathering around Ava and the little girl who was smiling at everyone who was approaching her. Beatrice just compose herself before going back to them.

"Hey, excuse me. As much as we want to stay longer, we have to go. It's getting late." Beatrice spoke, trying to be polite as she could before she carried Little Bea in her arms and waited for Ava to stand up from her seat, Beatrice immediately grab the bag and the paper bags with them all in one hand and the other, grabbing Ava's hand, Beatrice felt the electric shock in her whole body. She did not regret it but at this point, she knew Ava wouldn't mind holding her hand. They left the McDonald and headed back to the hospital, visiting Quinton who was still unconscious on the bed, Ava sat on the available chair on the corner while holding the little girl in her arms who fell asleep. Beatrice just watched the silent night out from the window, looking up to the view of their city.

"Beatrice?" The soft voice that called her attention. Beatrice turned around to see Quinton final woke up. Beatrice's mood suddenly changed and there she stood in front of the person who made her life a living hell during those high school days when she would find herself alone after recovering.

"How are you feeling?" Beatrice asked cold stare and the cold tone of her voice is all everyone heard. Ava noticed the sudden change in her mood. Ava still doesn't know half of the story although hearing some major details from Clara, it is better to know the whole thing from Beatrice herself. Ashe just wish that someday, her best friend would tell her about it.

"I... How long was I out?" Quinton asked, holding her head. Trying not to move more since she could feel the ache.

"Just an hour or two." Beatrice replied, still in the same tone.

"Bea? Where's- Oh." Quinton immediately calmed down as soon as she saw her daughter asleep on Ava's arms.

"She's alright, Danielle. She got tired from playing too much after eating." Ava spoke softly. Danielle just stared at her child and smiled.

"What happened to you? Why are you covered in bruises and cuts?" Beatrice asked.

"That's sweet, you start to care for me now when yesterday you were yelling at me like there's no tomorrow." Danielle replied with a smug smirk.

"You know what? Forget it. I'll go prepare the car, Ava. We'll leave in a few minutes." Beatrice said, she walked out of the room right away without waiting for Ava's response leaving Ava stunned and Danielle fell into silence. There was an awkward atmosphere, Ava tried to think of any words to say so it could break the ice but she could not think of anything except a question. 'What did you do to my best friend to hate you so much?'. Ava just slowly stood up from the chair and made sure she wouldn't wake the little girl who was in a deep sleep.

"She never had a proper sleep, I'm glad she's getting all the sleep she needs." Danielle spoke.

"And you should too, we'll come to visit again tomorrow," Ava said, smiling sweetly to the girl who ruined her best friend, she was not being fake. She was just her usual self, the sweet and concerned Ava that everybody loves. Ava turned around and left the room without saying anything else, the moment she closes the door behind her. She noticed Beatrice sitting down to one of the chairs.

"Hey..." Ava spoke softly, approaching her best friend who seemed lost in her own thoughts. Ava sat beside her and did not hesitate to reach out her hand to Beatrice and hold it. Beatrice blinked a few times before she look over to the younger girl who was looking at her with concern in her eyes. Beatrice just stared at her as Ava did the same, battling their eye contact before Beatrice raised her hand and brush Ava's hair over her ear before speaking.

"Is it still worthy to help somebody who made your life a living hell?" Beatrice asked.

"Forgiveness is hard, Bea. But no matter what they did before, they may have an explanation but couldn't say it before so why don't you try to find it out." Ava replied.

"Find out what exactly?" Beatrice asked.

"Why did they hurt you before? Why did they make your life a living hell?" Ava replied. Beatrice fell in silence as she retrieve her hand back from brushing over Ava's hair, she felt the electricity when her fingertip touched her skin. She was battling with her mind earlier and now she felt nothing but calmness, the love of her life holding her hand and not knowing what it is doing to her.

"Come on, we have to go back." Beatrice spoke, rose from her seat and Ava did the same. They both left the hospital, walking side by side without saying any words to each other, not until Beatrice asked about Ava's relationship with JC. They hop in the car and started making their journey back to their dorm, it was past 2 am in the morning and Ava felt tired. Beatrice just focused on driving on the road.

"JC and I barely hang out nowadays, I would text him and he would text me back but just that. The college has been really kicking my butt." Ava said. Beatrice scoffed and agreed with the younger girl.

"Yeah, it does kick you on the ass but you still keep going just to survive," Beatrice spoke.

"How long have you been trying to survive, Bea?" Ava asked.

"Hmm... Since Quinton happened, trying to survive that. Or with my parents. Expectations, I mean my mother." Beatrice replied.

"And you've been fighting alone all these years?" Ava asked. Beatrice thought of it for a second, she wasn't totally alone but somehow she was alone surviving, Lea would help but most of the time it's herself who helps her just so she wouldn't lose her sanity.

"I don't know." Beatrice replied.

"Can I ask you again about her?" Ava asked.

"Quinton?" Beatrice replied.

"Yes." Ava said.

"What do you want to know?" Beatrice asked this time.

"I want to know everything she did to you. I want to know, why is my best friend cold that I can't even read her and feel her anymore?" Ava said, Beatrice fell silent.
