《The Land of Stories: The Adventure Continues》The Page of a Fathers Journal

Charlie, Brighton, and Ayden flew through a tunnel of light and time. They saw different flashbacks from their grandparents and great aunts lives. The light grew brighter as they reached the end of the tunnel. They all closed their eyes and they landed in an empty park in a pile of dirt and flowers.
"Whoa, I didn't expect that." Brighton said and stood up and brushed the flower petals and dirt off himself. Ayden and Charlie did the same. Charlie saw the Eiffel Tower figurine, the unicorn hair and the elf empire leaf on the ground. She picked them up and put them in her bag.
"So Charlie, where are we?" Ayden said.
"We're in the past. I think we might be in California." Charlie said. "So the mission is, we have to get grandpa's dads journal so we can create a spell to save the Fairytale world."
"This is going to make a great story for Grandpa to write when we get home." Brighton said. "So where's this journal."
"I'm not so sure."
"What!?" The boys said.
"You don't know where it is!" Brighton said.
"I guess the plan is to just find grandpa and great aunt Alex and ask them."
"What are we going to say when we find them? Hi we're your grandchildren from the future and we need your dads journal to save the Fairytale world." Brighton said.
"Brighton's kind of right Charlie." Ayden said. "In this time do they even know about the Fairytale world?"
"If grandpa's real life is just like his books, I don't think they know about the Fairytale world yet. His books mostly took place in the Fairytale world, but during the first book they were in the Otherworld at the beginning. Plus the Eiffel Tower was from their 12th birthday. That birthday starts out the series." Charlie said. "Guys look who's coming."
Charlie pointed to a girl running towards them on the street. She had strawberry blond hair with a headband, and wore a pink t-shirt with a pair of blue jeans and sneakers.

"That could be Aunt Alex. They kind of look alike. Let's follow her." Charlie said.
"Ok, because that's not creepy at all." Brighton said.
"Well it's the only ideas we have. Let's go." Charlie said. The kids quietly followed closely behind the girl and they followed her to a little house. She opened the door and ran inside.
"ALEX!" They heard a voice say behind them. The group turned around and saw a boy with strawberry blond hair and he wore a blue shirt with blue jeans, and sneakers.
"Hey dude, what's wrong?" Brighton asked and stopped him.
"Nothing I'm just trying to catch up to my sister." The boy said and ran into his house and closed the door behind him.
"That must be Grandpa." Ayden said. "So how are we going to do this?"
"This must be the part of the story where they fall into the book and end up in the Fairytale world." Charlie said. "But how are we going to get into the house?"
"We could just pic the lock." Ayden said. Brighton and Charlie looked at Ayden like he was crazy.
"What? Just a thought, I saw it in a movie. That may be the only way."
"True, let's go try." Brighton said. They all ran to the front door, and tried to open it. It opened.
"Well that was easy." Ayden said. They walked in and saw many pictures of the twins and their parents. They soon heard noises coming from upstairs.
"They must be upstairs." Brighton said.
The three ran upstairs and saw a bright light coming from a room. They ran in the room, and saw the Land of Stories book on the floor.
"It's the Land of Stories book." Charlie said. "This is the time. Let's go."
"Here we go again." Brighton said. "Well little kids first."
"No, older kids first to make sure it's safe." Ayden said.
"We just flew through a world of light. This is probably the same thing." Brighton said.
"Fine I'll go first." Charlie jumped in and then the boys jumped in after.

The three flew through a world of light and fell out of the sky and landed in pile of leaves and dirt.
"Oh my God! I'm seriously going to need surgery after this is done if I keep landing on my back." Brighton said getting up.
"So wheres journal?" Ayden said.
"If Grandpa kept his stories as real as his life, then the journal is with the prince who is a frog." Charlie said.
"Well, let's start looking." Brighton said. "In the books doesn't he live in the forest?"
"Well, we should start there." Charlie said.
The kids walked quietly through the forest and they suddenly heard a low growling sound.
"What was that?" Ayden asked.
"It sounded like a dog growling." Brighton said.
"It's wolves. Look." Charlie said and pointed to the trees and they saw three wolves creeping towards them.
"Run...run guys run!"
They all ran for their lives, jumping over tree stumps and fallen branches. They soon came across a tall tower. Charlie smiled widely and gasped.
"It's Rapunzals Tower!" Charlie exclaimed. "Am I in a dream?"
"Well your about to be dead. We should start climbing it seems like the only way."
"Hurry guys they're coming!" Ayden said catching up to them.
They all ran to the tower and started to climb. Brighton went first and helped Charlie up. Charlie climbed and looked down the see that Ayden was frozen in fear at the bottom of the tower.
"Ayden come on! They're coming!" Charlie yelled.
"I can't I'm too scared!" Ayden cried.
"Ayden come on! You'll be eaten if you don't." Brighton said. Ayden tried to climb the tower but he fell onto his back, he then made the decision to get up and run. The wolves spotted Ayden running and went after him.
"NOO! AYDEN COME BACK!" Charlie yelled. "We have to go after him."
"No, he'll get away. I know it, those wolves will get tired."
"No Brighton! He'll die!" Charlie cried.
"Charlie I know Ayden, he'll be fine!"
Charlie didn't want to leave Ayden to the Wolves but they couldn't even see where he went. They kept on climbing and finally got to the top. They climbed into the tower and collapsed onto the floor. They were exhausted.
"If Ayden doesn't survive...I will never forgive you." Charlie said and sat up and wiped away tears.
"He will, have faith." Brighton said.
"This is real Brighton, it's not a story or video game. You don't come back. I'm going back after him." Charlie said.
"Charlie wait. Do you hear that?" Brighton asked.
"Yeah it sounds like someone climbing up stairs."
A piece of the flooring was lifted up and out of the floor came Conner.
"Hey, who are you guys?" Conner asked not even recognizing them from before.
"It's Conner, and he has the journal." Charlie whispered to Brighton.
"Hi, we were lost and was being chased by wolves. Hey that journal where did you get it?" Brighton asked.
"Oh this frog man in the middle of the woods." Conner said coming out of the floor and walked towards them. "He said it would helped us navigate this...land."
"Oh really...could we have a page from that journal? Brighton asked.
"Uh why?" Conner asked.
"Because we need to write a note to our parents and we don't have any." Charlie said quickly without even thinking about what she was going to say and after she said it she realized how dumb it was
"That's a weird answer." He said. "But you seem like trustworthy kids, so here."
Conner pulled out of blank sheet of paper from the back of the journal and handed it to them.
"Great thanks we really needed this. Now we have to go find our cousin who's lost in the woods." Brighton said.
"Be careful. I've heard that a lot of dangerous creatures live in these woods." Conner said.
"We will thanks." Charlie said and walked towards the hidden staircase. Brighton followed her, and now they were on a separate mission. To save Ayden.
