《The Land of Stories: The Adventure Continues》Six is Better Than Four

The boys, and Allyson came in and saw Bree on the floor. Matthew ran to his sisters and kneeled down.
"What happened?" He said.
"Mom didn't actually die like we thought. She's here and alive." Elizabeth said. "She was in another dimension that made her look younger. I freed her."
"Wait you did magic!" Carrie said.
"Yeah, I guess I did." Elizabeth said. Charlie walked over and hugged her mother.
"Are you ok?" She asked.
"I'm fine baby." Elizabeth said and hugged her back. "So I guess we're getting these items."
"Wait so what's wrong with her?" Matthew asked.
"She's under a sleeping curse." Alex said. "We need save your dad, so he can wake her."
"I'm guessing once my Bree and your Bree saw each other, mine went back home." Conner said. "So whats the plan?"
"We're all staying here. Conner if we come face to face with our younger selves we'll be sent back. We're here to help them, we can't go back. You four are going."
"Mom why can't we go." Annabelle asked.
"Because, I need you here just in case anything happens. If something happens you have the magic to fix it, and Allyson you have the strength. Plus you guys will be heading into battle, you need to train." Alex said. "You four better go."
"Our ingredients. I left them on the table back home." Elizabeth said. She walked over the book and gave it to Alex.
"Is there a way you can have this book take us home instead of the Fairytale world?"
"I can try." Alex flipped to the end of the book and waved her hand over it, and the beam of light turned a light shade of blue. "Here, now go. Don't worry we'll take care of your mother."
"Thank you. We'll be back as soon as possible." Carrie said. "Wait we'll need objects from the time. Do you have any?"
"Wait that's right. We can't even go through time without other objects from that time." Elizabeth said.
"I think I have what you need. Come with me." Alex said. The group of four followed her. Gabriel went over to Bree and picked her up, and they all went over to a spare bedroom to put her in a more comfortable place.

"So do you have the items we need?" Matthew asked hopeful.
"No, unfortunately. But I have the items to get you there." Alex brought them to her room, and she walked over to a spare closet. "They should be in here. That's where they are in my time."
Alex opened her closet and and inside were six items.
"These items will help you get to them." Alex said. There was the figurine of the Eiffel Tower that her grandmother had given her on her twelfth birthday. Her first wand, and Conner's first sword. A little bit of pixie dust in a vial, and the Evil Queens magic mirror dust that made Alex evil, and Conner's story about their dad.
"These are some momentos I saved from our adventures." Alex said. "I would have my dads journal, but I gave it to my mom. I'm guessing she's not around any more in this time."
"No she's not." Carrie said. "Thank you Alex."
"To make this faster one person should go into each time. So Charlie you go get journal page and the book with the Eiffel Tower and our dads story. Carrie you are going to get the wand and my first wand will get you there, Matthew you are getting the mask and your taking Conner's first sword, Elizabeth you are getting the bark and the pen and you'll be taking the Magic Mirror dust and the Pixie Dust. I'm not sure where the pixie dust will take you but you just need to get a branch, so it's pretty easy."
"I don't feel safe with Charlie going by herself." Elizabeth said.
"I gave you the times you can handle. I gave Charlie the easiest ones, there're not as dangerous. Elizabeth I gave you the bark and the pen because you might have to travel different places within that time. I gave Carrie the wand because she has to use magic to get past some things. Matthew will have to fight to get the mask. The most dangerous one. I have faith you can handle this. There's not a doubt in my mind that you will fail. You have our families blood running through your veins. Make your dad proud."

"Then let's get a move on. We don't have much time." Elizabeth said. "We need the other ingredients."
Alex snapped her fingers and the Land of Stories appeared and she set the book on the floor. She waved her hand and the book started to glow. The group of four went straight through it and ended up back in their living room.
"Look there's the ingredients." Matthew said. He walked over and took the ingredients. Beside them something caught his eye. His cellphone, with over 200 texts from his family.
"Have you got like a million texts as well." Carrie said pulling out her phone. "They keep asking when will we get back."
"Tell them by the end of the week." Elizabeth said. "Hopefully we'll be done by then."
"Have you gotten any texts from Ben?" Carrie asked her sister.
"No. Only from Charlie's school. It doesn't matter, you'll be homeschooled after this anyways." Elizabeth said to Charlie. "Let's go."
All of them then suddenly stopped in their tracks. They heard footsteps coming from upstairs.
"Who could that be?" Matthew asked.
"Who's there?" Elizabeth yelled while holding Charlie tightly.
"Mom!" A voice said.
"Dad!" Another voice said.
"Brighton, Ayden?" Carrie said. The two boys walked downstairs and ran to their parents.
"What are you doing here?" Matthew said as he hugged his son. "Where's your brother?"
"He's at home. I was worried, you've been gone for a while. Brighton and I were curious about what you were doing. Plus you didn't pack any bags. So we knew you weren't taking a trip with grandpa and you obviously aren't."
"Yeah mom what's going on?" Brighton asked.
"We're saving grandpa and the Fairytale world by traveling through time." Charlie said smiling.
"What?" Brighton said. "I'm so confused."
"Apparently everything Grandpa wrote in Fairytaletopia is true. It's based on his life as a kid."
"Are you telling the truth?" Brighton asked his cousin.
"Yeah, do you want to come?" Charlie said.
"Seriously Charlie?" Ayden asked. Charlie nodded her head excitedly. "Yeah I want to go."
"I don't know." Matthew said.
"What why?" Ayden complained.
"Yeah Charlie's going? Brighton stated.
"Yeah. Please can they come. They can help me." Charlie said.
"What do you think?" Elizabeth asked her siblings.
"Ok...but you can't tell anyone. Not even your friends, your brothers or your dads." Carrie said.
"Yay!" The three kids yelled.
The now group of six, went back into the book, and were back in Camelot, but now in the library. Alex and Allyson had set up four backpacks with each item in front of it. Brighton and Ayden looked around at the library in awe. They had never seen a room so big.
"Great your back. I have set everything up...wait who are these two?"
"This is my son Ayden, and Carries son Brighton. We have decided to have them join Charlie in her quest."
"Oh, um ok. Charlie make sure to fill them in. Matthew, put the hair and the leaf on the table. I'm going to duplicate them." Matthew set the hair and the leaf onto the table. Alex snapped her fingers and the hair and the leaf were duplicated 10 times and they were each put in a little vial. She took the vials and put them in the backpacks.
"Whoa, so magic is really real." Brighton said.
"I knew it." Ayden said and smiled.
"There's one set for you to get to your location and another to help you get back. Elizabeth you have another pair to get you to your second location, and same with you kids." Alex said.
"I have these roses from our garden, so you can get back to this time." Allyson said and put the roses in their backpacks.
Charlie, Matthew, Carrie, And Elizabeth grabbed their backpacks. Charlie put Conner's story in her backpack for after they get the journal page, and Elizabeth did the same with the dust. The parents hugged their children goodbye and started the spell. Four portals then appeared.
"Ok, remember to work fast and don't change anything." Alex said. "If you change something even in the slightest, the entire timeline could be ruined."
"Wait so we're really going to travel through time...awesome!" Brighton said. "I'm ready let's go."

What seems like an innocent game trope turns into a nightmare. This is a story of tragedy and the path to ultimate power. All in the hopes of an uncertain survival. _________ This fiction has NOT been abandoned. I made a haughty promise earlier to not worry because I'll continue this series, and with things lately, I've only proved myself a liar. Further promises dwindled, and I've lost trust. So many things have been going on recently that I've been booked. I will refrain from making any future guarantees or promises as my busy schedule will stay with me for a long long while. Time for me to actually spend on writing and revising won't appear until at the least November 19. I won't say expect that's when I'll restart, but you can expect expecting it to maybe happen. That's really shallow. But with everything going on, I've let my small reading base down. I apologize. I still stick by my statement though that I won't abandon this project. I plan to stick it to the end, no matter the delay. Most importantly, thank you everyone; readers who both like and dislike my work. I appreciate your time spent on my dumb imagination. Stay toasty my readers in this winter season. Cheers. UPDATE: We're back on track. Thank you for your patience. Any future readers, heyo! Glad you're here. UPDATE 2: So far it's been 21 days since I last uploaded a chapter. The best thing done for any fiction, no matter how good it is, is that it continues, and I have a bad history with that. 1 fiction on hiatus and already more delays with less than 20 chapters in this fiction. I've been very preoccupied with adding more things to do in my life rather than actually committing to any particular thing. That applies primarily to this. I cannot abandon this, as busy as my future looks and will look as I get busier and busier. Someday, I hope, I will be able to sit down and just write. just. write. But for now, I ask for patience. I suppose I'm glad this fiction hasn't picked up so that I don't disappoint too many people if any really. But I need to commit and it's going to happen sometime and sometime soon. No more flowery words. I'll see you later. UPDATE 3: It's very evident I won't be able to pick up this story for a while. With AP Testing, competitions, and other things I am busier than ever. But I must complete this fiction. I have too. Until next time. UPDATE 4: It is now the summer. I owe everyone an apology. Chances are, nobody's around to see this, and that is okay. I only blame myself for this sort of brokenness of a fiction, not that it is actually that bad but I am just exaggerating it for dramatic effect. But what's not exaggerated is the severity of my broken promise. I apologize for my naive claims about finishing a novel that I couldn't finish and that I didn't have the discipline to finish. Nor the skills, really, I was and am still an immature writer. What is to place now? I want to make it clear I understand this is my fault. I will man up to this. And I will accept any criticism. I understand I messed up. Reading Stephen King's On Writing made it clear to me that I need to do two things:Read lots. And write lots.I have done neither. If I don't have the time to read often, how do I expect to write? I need to become more experienced. I need to become a serious writer. So if I want to dream of continuing, I need to at least fulfill both requirements. I enjoy writing. I haven't written seriously outside of school in a while. I planned to write this summer and finish this. I made a lot of promises that I didn't keep.So there's that. I won't enact any self-pity, or be foolishly obsessed. What I did was wrong, and I must deal with it. I let down readers. And I apologize.I hope I can find forgiveness. This is a writer's sin.I won't promise I'll finish this. I intend to finish this, at some point, because writing is fun and I want to write. But how things are don't reflect that. Maybe I'll finish this at some point. Maybe I won't. I won't be naive to make that promise.I thank everyone who has read this if this is the end. If not, and hopefully not, I thank everyone who is to read future chapters. I thank everyone who allowed me to live in the miniscule little dream of mine as I passed my days. I thank everyone who cares enough to read this. Until next time, peace everyone. Thank you. You are all great readers and great people. I wish everyone the best in whatever reading/writing endeavors follow you henceforth.
