(So um... It might sound rather entertaining, but I actually was somewhat late on this chapter because I may- or may not... of wrote some of it in French ._. Sometimes, you're really just that tired lmao. So I apologize for the delay since I had to make a lot of corrections, haha! Enjoy!~)

---Sans' Pov---

I walked down the halls of the True Lab, feeling a heavy emptiness on my Soul as I kept moving forward. After about two hours of looking through the depths of my phone with Gaster, I was able to find the unknown ID of someone who texted me two years ago... and the response that was given to her.

Since I desperately wanted to kill Frisk, who had betrayed me like just about everyone else... I decided to stay in the Underground until I had (Y/n). No doubt she'd be younger, and I'd need to come up with a way to give her a comfortable life... but first I needed her here. Where I could keep her safe.

My instincts were driving me to insanity, reminding me too much about how fragile she was right now. (Y/n) was technically a child, despite being completely grown up mentally.

Being released meant that I needed to do things differently than how I would of done them back in the Underground... there would of been no rules to this otherwise.

Gaster couldn't remember where she lived, and when we both tried to figure out our strain in memory... it only came down to one conclusion. We were not only put back into a very far Reset, but our bodies were also repaired of their previous damage. We couldn't remember anything properly, because of how our mentality was so fractured by injuries. Going back to when everything was fine, when I didn't have my wound meant that my more primitive nature was being suppressed... It was heightened with my injury, and with it came my deepest desires for (Y/n).

Losing the crack in my skull made me seem normal, alright... but it only buried my (Y/n) deeper into my subconscious. My reactions being more instinctive reminded me that she was missing, that I wanted to hold her and never let go. That something was fucking wrong. But without the memory properly intact, I couldn't place my feelings, or my desire for what I wanted.

So after getting that letter... my Soul went into a state of panic with all of my emotions crashing down at the same time. I lost it, my sanity broke. And with it...

I smirked dangerously as my phalanges dug into an axe that I held in hand, scratching across the blade to make an unpleasant sound.

And with it, that piece of me that was missing came back. I didn't feel as empty anymore, feeling like my self again never felt so fucking great.

Cackling loudly, Gaster placed a hand on my shoulder. I was so lost in my spur of laughter, that I didn't notice his approach... its been a few days since we attempted to discover her location. "Did ya find her?"

"I've managed to track the phone that was used to contact you. However, we have very little time. This is the address, but judging by that letter that you received... we might be too late." He said with irritation while handing me a note. I didn't like the idea of that, so instead, I brought the handle of my weapon against my collar bone to produce a familiar tapping sound. Guess ya could say that I was counting.

"M' mate is strong. She'll hang on until I get there..." I replied, trying to convince myself that nothing will happen. Though, deep inside my bones... I had a feeling that this would be a long night. "Just have everything ready."

Reluctantly, the doctor handed me a syringe that was filled with a transparent substance... I stared at it for only a moment before he elaborated. "This is a type of adrenaline to keep her heart in proper motion. I've mixed a stabilizer into it for her Soul as a precaution."

I examined it more closely, knowing how to administrate it was no problem for me... though she may not take too kindly to it. Heh. "I know that you may not like the idea of drugging her-"

Sharply turning my head to face him, I gave him a devious grin. After letting out a grim chuckle, I could only respond with one thing. "Oh- no. You got it all wrong, doc. This ain't gonna be the first time that I've drugged her. Heheh..."

It was funny because I already did it once, but couldn't even imagine myself doing it a second time. Mostly, I chose to avoid the idea due to her perception- she would of detected it easily if I did it progressively. But this time, I would be drugging her for an entirely different reason. "Wait... you did what exactly?"

He let out a groan of disbelief while adjusting the glasses that he had taped to his skull. "How are you even still alive? I swear... if she didn't make that promise to stop killing..."

I froze, a familiar chill ran up my spine as I smirked from the thought. The very concept of what she would of done gave me that thrill that I loved so much- and the fact that she wouldn't do it kept me at ease... an odd mixture, but very enticing.

Putting the syringe into my pocket, I started to look at the address to try and figure out my coordinates for a proper teleport. I knew that even though I wasn't the one who sent that text to (Y/n), I was still pretty responsible for it. With a low snarl, my fingers once again found the edge of my blade, producing a loud screeching sound that made Gaster stumble back in brief surprise. He wasn't use to my erratic behavior. Yet.

Once I felt a little satisfied at my displayed aggression, I found myself teleporting to the general area of the house that I was looking for. The sky was covered in a blanket of grey clouds, warning me of the upcoming bad weather.

Wandering around and asking for directions made me remember just how cruel Humans could be... did I really want (Y/n) growing up around this crap? With the Human garbage? Again, my Soul throbbed with a possessiveness that made Monsters and Humans alike back away... they cleared the street and didn't dare to move any closer.

She never liked people, never trusted them... but she trusted me and my brother. Even Gaster had her trust- so would she care to never see a Human ever again? Would it be an issue if I kept her secluded for the rest of her life... 'Of course not... we are doing what's right! This is right! EVERYTHING THAT WE DO FOR HER IS RIGHT! We don't have another chance! She needs to be safe! WE WILL KEEP HER SAFE!'

The voices are back... hehehe...

Snapping out of my thoughts at the sound of a loud scream, my head twisted into the direction of a home with a lot of cars parked in front. Tiny droplets started to fall from the sky, quickly turning into a heavy rain that pelted against my skull.

Pulling the fluff of my hoodie above my head, I tried to avoid the dampness of the world. I didn't like this feeling, I mean the one before you lose someone that you care about. Once I managed to increase my pace, I could feel my single crimson eye flash into a vibrant flame of red. My shoes were not dragging beneath me, and instead produced my signature tapping.

Before I decided to engage any further, I allowed my more primitive instincts to take the lead. This would be better since I needed to sense (Y/n)'s Soul...

One minute, all I needed was sixty seconds. I let out a chilling breath.

and then, I stopped in front of the door. My eyes searched around while a low rumble of my bones rattling could be heard. It was now or never.

I brought my axe over my head before slashing down into the door. This was the place- I could smell the blood and sense the fading energy of Souls. ""

A gun fire shot through the door, causing me to summon a blaster in its path. The summoned skull created a blast of crimson magic, immediately removing both the door and the man who fired at it from behind.

"You were supposed ta say "

---(Y/n)'s Pov---

"I see, so it is time. I suppose that I do not really care for this world anymore. So then, make it quick." I stated while looking at the door to my room. My father was entering it slowly, a knife firmly held between his shaking hands. The sky was growing darker, reminding me of the storm that was soon to come.

I never did like the sunlight, so this would probably be fitting for my death. Even if it would be lonely, at least I would get to listen to the constant dripping against the roof for awhile. "I'm so... sorry..."

"Considering the fact that you can't even look me in the eye when you state your apology... I sincerely doubt it." I stated harshly. My father's gaze finally snapped to my own, meeting with my cold and lifeless eyes. I was not entertained, or even angry... just apathetic. "There you go. It makes for better ending. At least now when you take my life, you will remember what you did during your final moments."

"You're... not (Y/n)." He claimed, clutching the knife while his eyebrows knitted in confusion. My father took a weary step forward with his weight creaking against the floor. The sound of an explosion caught our attention, but we didn't think too much of it. I didn't really recall this moment before managing to crawl into a closet very well.

"You're right. I'm not your (Y/n)... that child died many years ago." I narrowed my eyes, the screaming now became evident from downstairs. Sighing in agitation, I reluctantly held out my own hand to him. "If you're not going to do it, then I will."

"N-No... I owe you this much..." He muttered out before raising the blade. Slashing it across my stomach just like the last time, I fell to the floor with a deep sigh. Dying to Sans for the first time was one thing... but to my father? That didn't seem right. He didn't have my respect for that...

But regardless, this would be the end.

Slowly, my eyes closed so that I could accept my fate. However, once I found myself blinking them open for a final look at the world... I noticed a powerful red glow. But I didn't care- I had already given up a long time ago.

Or at least that Is what I thought-

An unfamiliar sensation penetrated into my arm, much like a sting from a wasp. It was quick, and I could feel a substance being injected into my body that immediately caused my heart beat to respond rapidly. "Fuck... don't you fucking dare close your eyes, (Y/n)!"

That voice sounded painfully familiar. Once my eyes snapped open from my forced desire to survive, I immediately was met with Sans' pissed off expression. Taking a glance around the room, I could see my father sitting in a corner with the blade still in hand. Sans was in a crouched position with my body slumped against his knees. Fortunately, I was small enough for him to manage this with very little issues. And my wound... I could feel him running his tongue against it in an effort to temporarily seal the deep cut... though it wasn't working as well. "Ugh... Sans, you already expressed yourself to me... can't you simply allow me to die in peace?"

He pulled away from the injury, not caring for the patches of red that lined his face.

"Nah, sorry ta kill your mood, cupcake. But I'm just dying to be with ya." He mused out with a bit of a snicker. I knew that this was his attempt at trying to keep me responsive... and it seemed to work since I failed to notice the amount of blood that he was getting on my petite body from his previous killing.

"Is that so? Ha..." I coughed slightly before managing to give him a bit of a glare. "You know... the difference between myself in this timeline, and when I was an outlaw in the last... well, at least back then I was wanted."

Well, I officially broke Sans. He couldn't determine whether he wanted to deny my words, or just break out into a fit of laughter. Maybe it was a bit of both once he chuckled. "C'mon, (Y/n)... dont'cha know that you're always gonna be my Soul desire?"

"In all honesty, a coffin would feel fairly comfortable right about now." I said, shooting him down without any hesitation. I wanted to close my eyes to forget about this last strange moment before my end, but whatever he gave me was preventing my death. "Sans, as much as I am... happy to see you before my last moments alive-"

"M' gonna get ya patched up, cupcake. You're not dying today, sorry." He stated in response, leaving absolutely no room for argument. Slowly, he stood up while carefully holding me to his chest. I wanted to turn around, but he kept a single hand pressed against my head to prevent any movement. "Now then... I've been itchin' ta do this for some time now. In the end, m' glad that I was able to save ya for last."

And then, before anything else could be said... the sound of sharp bones piercing through flesh could be heard. My father's screams were brief, but they definitely showed how much pain he felt. "S-Sans...?"

I didn't care about my family... not anymore since I was able to come to terms with everything. However, since I spent my previous life fighting to avenge them... I didn't know what to feel about this. I knew that Sans saw it as justice, and that he wouldn't allow room for any argument.

In fact, he didn't even allow me to gather anything from the house before he found a canister of gasoline in one of the vehicles outside... and then, made his intent to light my house ablaze known.

My grip on his clothes was starting to get lighter, causing me to slowly slip in and out of consciousness. By now, I could feel my back against a firm bed- but I couldn't perceive my location in the slightest. "Sans..."

"Don't worry, cupcake. M' gonna stich ya up, and then everythin' will be fine."

He didn't sound like himself... in fact, he sounded very desperate.

"Doc- I sealed the wound... so why isn't..."

Everything was becoming a blur, allowing me to finally sink into an abyss of nothing. It seems that out of all of our challenges to be dominant, on top and winning... that I was the one to succeed at this. I was successful in dying, and he wouldn't be able to stop me this time. There was no way for him to win-

"Gaster, can you out heal it?" He growled out. I caught the words, but knew that he couldn't out heal something like this that was completely inevitable. My own strength was faltering, it would be impossible for survival since I didn't have the desire to continue. "Well, it seems like our best option-"

I felt my body shifting slightly, and could make out the feeling of Sans' ribcage against my back. What was he doing... there was nothing more that he could do... unless he intended on prolonging my suffering. "Well, (Y/n)... if you're going ta give up, I'm gonna have to force you to live."

Wait... what...?

Seconds later, I could feel my Soul being healed by Gaster's magic. It would only work for so long since his magic would run out... but then again, I wasn't expecting the feeling of Sans' fangs to penetrate deeply into my skin. My body was so small that the mark would cover a much larger area- and that his magic would function quicker.

And since Gaster was a powerful boss monster... who knows how long they could keep this up. Damnit, maybe my father should of given me the knife- would of been much easier.

With a groan, I slipped in and out of consciousness at a very quick pace... I could feel Sans lingering close by at all times, never leaving my side. Was it hours, days or maybe even weeks? I didn't really know. But in the end, I was still alive.

And through my silence where my body refused to wake up entirely... I'd catch Sans muttering to himself. Some words were incoherent, and others were clear. Some of them though... drifted on the boarder of insanity.

"Finally... she is here. SHE IS HERE.... but she is so small.... SO FRAGILE..."

I could tell that he was reaching out to pick at my smaller limbs, or lovingly stroke my hair... but then, the scene would switch to something else. A new voice.

"Sans, we are simply here to see her... you left in a hurry- before your brother could even repair your wound!" A female voice said aloud. I could feel Sans' murderous intent, but he seemed to control himself.

"I feel fine, Tori." He said with a lazy grin. His half lidded stare from his single crimson eye displayed his discontent, but she wasn't exactly on guard... perhaps my age had distracted her. "But uh... could you both leave. You're in our personal space over here."

Silence... everything was suddenly so quiet.

"Sans... it has been two days. Perhaps we should take her to a Human hospital..." Toriel stated. Sans didn't take too kindly to the Queen when she tried to approach me... within seconds of her paw almost appearing on my shoulder where his mark was, he grabbed her viciously.

"" He growled out with his fangs parted to reveal his primal threat. The tension started to build In the room, Sans' eye was flaring to life and making a vast array of medical supplies float from his sheer anger. ""

"Sans. It's fine." I suddenly said, my voice was weak from exhaustion. Everything seemed to freeze in the room, the temperature dropping at a steady rate.

It was only until I tried to sit up, that half of the shirt that I was wearing... a white one that belonged to Sans... slipped down past my shoulder to reveal a vicious bite wound. A faint glow of his magic could be seen under the surface of it, causing Toriel's eyes to widen in horror. "Y-YOU MARKED A CHILD! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS, SANS?! SHE HAD HER LIFE AHEAD OF HER!"

Oh great, a pity party. Just the headache I asked for.

........

Do you think that this might be a buy one get one free situation?

Rolling my eyes at the thought, I turned my head to find myself looking at Sans' ribcage. When did he suddenly get so tall... oh right. I'm simply short. "S-Sans! I am warning you! GET AWAY FROM THAT CHILD!"

"Heh... Sorry Tori, but she's mine." He said. Sans looked down on me, his lazy grin surprisingly in place. I could feel an excess amount of his magic flowing through my body to force it's functions and keep me alive... the bite was much more potent this time. "Hey... (Y/n)."

I looked up slightly, ignoring the shouting Monster behind him. "I never texted you that message. In fact, I just managed to remember after that letter that you sent..."

Knowing that Sans was losing all of his reason with the absurd shouting behind him, I instead did something completely different. Reaching both of my hands up, Sans' expression instantly became lighter.

He lowered his hands and picked me up easily, only to bring me into his ribcage in a protective hold. Instinctively, I nuzzled my head into his neck, keeping my face hidden since I was still so tired. "You're right..."

He froze at my words, running a hand through my (H/c) in an attempt to soothe his growing aggression. "Heh... glad ya believe me."

"Indeed... for one, the text was too long. You're generally too lazy for something like that... not to mention the most important detail. There wasn't a single pun..." I mused out, laughing weakly.

Without any hesitation, the skeleton turned towards the exit and moved around Toriel who was still seething in anger. Behind her large body was Frisk who was clearly hiding away... but I wasn't too shy in sending them a cold glare. "Your perception is a scary trait, cupcake."
