I couldn't speak with your friends yesterday.

I set my phone down on the table, shaking my head. I was in the class, sitting in the front seat, with some nerd who was making tsk-tsk sound.

"You shouldn't text during the class." He stated, jotting down notes. I rolled my eyes, chuckling a bit. I don't know why I was happy. Perhaps it is because of Alan not talking with my ex, or maybe because the students in my school kind of have stopped talking about me. There was a sudden vibration and the boy next to me pursed his lips.

Aren't you going to ask why?

There goes my cheerful mood. Just because they are all smart, I should be with them? Hey, how does that help me in my grade? We never for once spoke about studies or... anything which has to do with studies.

I gave him a tight smile, turning my head for a glimpse at my so-called gang of friends. "I am good... on my own."

The teacher went back, discussing the assignments. I made sure he doesn't look at me by trying to suppress my excitement. I once again turned my head, staring into the bored eyes of Kaira.

She gave me a fake smile and went back to whispering something to Samuel. I immediately took out my phone, replying to Alan.
