10 missed calls!
Did you call me?
Shit, I missed it ;)
Are you not going to reply?
Leaving me on seen?
Hmm.. should I call?
That will be our first call <3
When?
The time you called me?
What was it?
The spark, huh?
Oh my god!
Guess what?
It's time for school.

"Is everything ok?" my mom asked, staring at my dumbfounded expression.
I turned to face her and nodded. "Yeah. What about you?" I repeatedly glanced at the phone, and there was no response from Alan. I placed it inside my backpack before mom gets curious.
She giggled at my question, making me shift in my seat, facing her. Her eyes were still on the road. Today, Mom gave me a ride to school. That happens rarely because she is always busy. But right now I could use some comfort. "I am great, Jo! Why would you ask that?"
I smiled, leaning my head on the passenger seat. "Because you keep asking me that and I never do the same... to you."
"Aw, hon. That's sweet, but seriously what's wrong? This isn't you."
"Mom!" I huffed, facing the other side. I will never know how she can easily identify something is wrong when I am doing hella amazing job of hiding it.
"I know something is off with you and..." She hesitated, her hands twitching at the steering wheel.
"And what, mom?"
"Yesterday, I saw Jack's mother. She was acting so unusual. She went right past me but didn't even acknowledge when I called her."
I chewed my lips, looking out at the window. "So, you assumed something is wrong between Jack and me?"
She nodded as she pulled on the brakes. "I just want you to know whatever it is-"

I laughed (faking it actually) to ease my mom's tensed state. She loves Jack, but I am just not ready yet to tell them what went on. But with what mom said, I can guess that Jack had probably told about me to his parents.
"Mom, I can assure you, we are fine. Even now, I was texting him. You can relax. I am a big girl!"
Mom just smiled, and I quickly hugged her before getting out of the car. My face left all the light as I walked towards the entrance of the school.
Well, if Alan actually had met Jack, I need tobrace myself for the impact to come.

This must be in the hidden gems collection " -3ndlesslove"This was, by far, the best one I've read. It just resonated with me when it came to Noah's POV. It wasn't something that just magically came together. It took time and effort for them to get to where they are, and I respect that. It taught me more about how to look at things so thanks a lot for making this book. I meant a lot to me. I will definitely read the sequel and your other books" - Generik_Jay
