《Werecat Protector: TVD/TO》Finding the Moonstone

Imarina's POV
I'm having breakfast when there's a knock at the door. Damon goes to answer it and I follow while eating my apple. He opens the door and there stands a fifteen year old boy, must be Jeremy. "I need to talk to you" he tells Damon.
"And why do I need to talk to you?" Damon asks him bored.
"Tyler Lockwood has to kill someone to activate his curse. He's not a werewolf yet" he states.
"Wow fascinating" I drawl.
"Not enough" Damon tells him and starts to shut the door. But Jeremy stops him.
"But Mason Lockwood is and he's looking for a moonstone, a special rock connected to the werewolf legend. That's why he's here" Jeremy explains.
"A moonstone?" Damon asks.
Do you know what a moonstone is? I ask Jaguar.
'A magical rock connected to the werewolf curse, don't know anything else' she tells me.
"Do you know where it is?" I ask Jeremy.
"Yes, I do" he answers.
"And you're bringing us this why?" Damon asks him.
"Do I need a reason? Look, I just want to help, okay?" he tells us.
"What does your sister think of this discovery?" Damon asks. Jeremy remains silent.
"Oh, you haven't told her, have you?" I ask him.
"Well, Elena doesn't want me getting involved in all this" he states. Jeremy tries to walk into the house. Damon pushes him out.
"And you're a Gilbert and you just can't help yourself. Wow. Your search for life's purpose is as obvious as it is tragic" Damon tells him.
"You going to let me in or not?" Jeremy asks him. Damon sighs and steps aside. Jeremy walks in and Damon closes the door behind him. We go to the library as Damon calls Alaric and I place my apple core in the bin. "So you're Imarina, the werecat?" he asks me.
"Yes" I tell him. "Don't ask me how I turned, I don't really get it myself" I state.
"You're meant to protect the vampires here right?" he asks.
"Just the ones in the same bloodline as the vampires in town" I correct him. "I had a dream of the Salvatore brothers in a burning building and turned. Jaguar then lead me here" I tell him.
"Does it hurt turning?" he asks as Damon goes to greet Alaric.
"Like hell" I tell him.
"What are you doing here?" Alaric asks Jeremy.
"Helping Damon and Imarina. I'm the one who found out about the moonstone" Jeremy answers. Alaric looks at Damon and I, we both shrug.
"Does Elena know you're here?" he asks Jeremy.
"Not exactly" Jeremy answers.
"What you got?" I ask changing the subject. Damon starts to dig through the box and takes out a book.
"This is Isobel research's from Duke. Her assistant sent it to me" Alaric explains.
"Mmm, Vanessa. The hottie" Damon says smirking. Alaric takes the book out of Damon's hands.
"Vanessa, yes. Now, do you remember the old Aztec curse she told us about?" Alaric asks.
"Sun and the moon, blah blah blah" Damon says.
"An Aztec curse?" I ask as Jeremy and I join them at the table.
"Cool" Jeremy says. I'd rather an Egyptian curse.
"Yeah, supposedly vampires and werewolves used to roam freely until a shaman put a curse on them to limit their power. Since then, werewolves can only turn on a full moon and vampires are weakened by the sun" Alaric explains.

Damon wiggles his fingers, showing his daylight ring. "Most of them anyway" he states.
"According to the legend, the werewolf part of the curse is sealed with the moonstone" Alaric tells us.
'Told you so' Jaguar tells me smugly and I roll my eyes at her. Alaric shows us all a map. It has pictures showing the story of the Sun and the Moon curse.
"What do you mean sealed?" Jeremy and I ask him.
"It's a witch thing, whatever seals the curse is usually the key to unsealing the curse" Damon explains.
"Maybe Mason Lockwood believes he can use the moonstone to break the curse" Alaric states.
"If he did that, he could turn at will and his bite would be fatal to a vampire 24/7" Jaguar states using my voice.
"Who has the stone now?" Damon asks Jeremy.
"Tyler" he answers.
'We can take him on' Jaguar tells me.
He's not the threat, Mason is I remind her.
"Can you get it?" I ask him.
"Yeah" he answers.
"See, now your life has purpose" Damon tells him smiling.
"So, you do believe it?" Jeremy asks.
"It's the same book that says a werewolf bite kills a vampire. Ignoring it would make me an even bigger idiot. Let's go" he tells us. We go to the Lockwood mansion to find out Tyler gave the stone to Mason. I told Damon Jaguar could grab Mason, but he got Bonnie to do it instead. He then drove us back to the boarding house where we chained Mason to a chair.
Bonnie takes Mason's head in her hands. "What are you doing?" I ask her curious.
"You're looking for a moonstone. I'm trying to help you find it" she states.
"Oh, good, yeah. Find out if he gave it to Katherine, and find out where she is. And find out what they're gonna do with it once they get it" Damon tells her. Bonnie closes her eyes and concentrates while she touches Mason's head.
"Somewhere small. dark. There's water" she tells us.
"Like a sewer?" I ask wrinkling my nose.
"No. Like a well? That can't be right. Yeah. It's a well" Bonnie states.
"Why would it be in a well?" we asks her.
Bonnie lowers her hands and opens her eyes. "I told you, I only get what I get" she reminds Damon. Mason grunts and grabs Bonnie by the wrist. she gasps. Damon pulls Mason's hand off of her and Bonnie starts to walk away. "That's it. That's all I got" she tells us.
"Hey judgey" Damon says and she looks at him. "Thank you" he says. She walks out of the room, leaving Damon alone with Mason. "Come on wolf boy, wake up" Damon says and punches Mason.
Damon is heating up an iron poker in the fireplace. Mason struggles to get out of the chair. "Someone is feisty" I say smirking. Damon gets up holding the hot poker. Mason continues to struggle and thrusts the chair backwards, falling onto the floor. Making Jaguar giggle.
"What?!" Mason demands looking up at Damon. Who sticks the iron poker into Mason's chest. Mason screams in pain and I wince.
"You can hurt -- good to know. I was afraid you were gonna be some beast mass with no affinity for pain" Damon says. He pulls out the poker and looks at the wound, which healed quickly. "Oh, but you heal quickly. Not good. Guess I'll just have to keep applying pain" he states. Damon grabs Mason and pulls him back up with the chair. He walks back over to the fireplace and heats up the poker again.

'I can take over if you don't want to witness this' Jaguar tells me.
Please do, but let Damon kill him. I don't want his blood on my hands I tell her. She agrees unless Mason broke out and tried to hurt Damon. So I let her take control and go to the back of my mind, where I won't hear a thing.
Jaguar's POV
"So...Katherine. How do you know her? What is she up to?" Damon asks the werewolf. Who remains silent. "I have all day" he tells him.
"We both do" I sneer.
"Welcome to the party Jaguar" Damon says smirking. He thrusts the white hot iron poker into Mason's stomach. Mason grits his teeth and screams. He pulls it out and heats it up again. "When did you two meet? Did she seduce you, tell you she loved you? You're supernatural so she can't compel you. I'm sure she used her other charms. Katherine's good that way" Damon states.
"I thought Damon told you to leave" I say as Jeremy Gilbert appears.
"I found something in Ric's box of stuff" he states.
"Oh, what is it?" Damon asks him intrigued. Damon walks over to him as Jeremy takes out a plant. I could smell it from here, Aconite.
"I did a search on my phone. It's a plant. Aconitum Vulparia. It grows in the mountainous areas of the northern hemisphere. Commonly known as aconite, blue rocket, and wolfsbane" Jeremy explains as Damon takes the flower.
"What else did you read?" Damon asks him.
"Well, every source says something different. One myth says it causes lycanthropy, which sounds bogus. Another one says that it protects people and another one says, well, it's toxic" Jeremy explains.
"Oh it's toxic" I tell them smirking. Damon smirks back and goes over to Mason holding the plant.
"Jaguar, I presume" Jeremy says.
"Yes young Gilbert" I say not taking my eyes off of the other two.
"What's Katherine doing in Mystic Falls?" Damon asks Mason, who didn't answer. Damon brushes the end of the wolfsbane across Mason's cheek. It begins to burn and Mason screams. Jeremy looks uncomfortable by this method of torture. Damon pulls the wolfsbane away. "Why is she here?" he asks him.
"She's here with me. Why do you ask, you jealous?" Mason asks him.
"How rude of us. You know, I just realized, we didn't offer you anything to eat" Damon tells him. Damon shoves the wolfsbane into Mason's mouth. Mason grunts and groans in pain.
"Yummy" I say smirking as Damon stops. Mason spits up the wolfsbane and coughs. "Why do you want the moonstone dog?" I ask him.
"Screw you cat!" he snaps.
"Wrong answer" I sneer glaring at him.
"If he was gonna say anything, he would have already" Jeremy tells us.
"I'm taking your eyes now" Damon tells him.
"Oh let me" I say and he hands me the flower.
"The well! You can find it there!" Mason shouts as I approach him.
"We know where it is. I want to know what it does and why you want it" Damon tells him. As I grab Mason's face holding him in place.
"I'm getting it for Katherine" Mason answers. "She's gonna use it to lift the curse" he adds.
"Of the moon? Now, why would a vampire help a werewolf break a curse that keeps them from turning whenever they want?" I ask him.
"So I wouldn't have to turn anymore" he states.
"Why?" Damon asks him.
"Because she loves me" Mason answers and Damon laughs.
"Now - now I get it. You're just stupid. Katherine doesn't love you. She's using you, you moron" Damon tells him.
"I'm done talking" Mason tells is weakly.
"Yes, you are" I say handing the wolfsbane to Jeremy. "It's time to take a walk, Jeremy" I tell him.
"No, I'm staying" he states and I look at Damon.
"No, you should go" Damon tells him.
"I'm staying, Damon. He's had enough" Jeremy states.
"Just help Tyler. Don't let this happen to him" Mason tells him.
"If he turns, I'll kill him if he harms a vampire" I growl. Damon super speeds over to Jeremy and grabs him by the throat.
"You wanted to be a part of this? Well, here it is! Kill or be killed! The guy is a werewolf; he'd kill me the first chance he got!" Damon tells him.
"So, you suck it up or leave" I tell him. Damon lets go of Jeremy, who coughs.
"He wants me to kill him, anyway. Don't you, Mason? It really is a curse, isn't it?" Damon asks him as Jeremy leaves. "You know, I look at you I see myself. A less dashing, less intelligent version" he tells him.
"I love her" Mason states.
"Oh, I know! I've been where you are. But Katherine will only rip your heart out. Let me do it for her" Damon tells him. Damon thrusts his hand into Mason's chest while looking him in the eyes. Mason groans. Damon removes his heart from his chest. Mason's eyes go lifeless and his head falls down to his chest.
"I'll leave you to clean up" I tell him and leave the room. Once out of the room. I let Imarina regain control of her body.
Imarina's POV
I blink to see myself in the hallway. Is Mason dead? I ask Jaguar.
'Yes, the wolf threat is over for now' she states. Just then Stefan enters the house looking pale.
"You ok?" I ask him.
"Yeah, just tired. Got the moonstone" he states showing it to me.
"Thought it'd look more magical" I say looking at the plain smooth white stone. "Damon's in the parlor, Mason is dead" I tell him. He nods his head and goes to talk to his brother. I make myself dinner and eat it. Then go brush my teeth and change into my pjs. I curl up on my round bed under my blanket and fall asleep.

Blood & Noodles
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] As they always have, humanity hunts the gods roaming the world, craving the supernatural power that flows within their veins. Even a drop is zealously guarded, passed from master to student through the ages. It is with this stolen power that the Blooded - those with divine blood coursing through them - grasp beyond mortality and achieve prestige, power, and greatness. Yet, for every fraction of power gained, thousands perish, slain by the gods' supernatural prowess. But everything is beginning to change. Eight years ago, for the first time in human memory, a god was felled. Part-time chef and full-time nuisance Orvi wants nothing to do with gods. Living in a derelict city, his only concerns are ensuring his adopted family's restaurant is prosperous and how to best beat the neighbourhood boys in a fight. If he's lucky, he might even snag a date with the farmer's daughter at the market. But even though he cares nothing for the gods or their blood, the world won't leave him alone forever. Because to reach godhood, one must first leave their humanity behind. *** The first arc of Blood & Noodles follows the adolescent Orvi as he attempts to navigate his rapidly changing home and - by his own definition - protect his family. The story is told almost entirely in the first-person, from the perspective of a teenager who isn't always the sharpest tool in the shed. There are tragic elements, especially in the current arc. It's character-focused and driven, though the protagonist's shenanigans are backdropped by a world operating independently from him. Orvi's a generally light-hearted character, and though the story veers into darker territory, I also want it to be able to make readers smile. Action sequences, despite the fantastical elements, are meant to be grounded and clearly-conveyed; Orvi is a brawler, not a warrior. I'm trying to write a story that's enjoyable to read and flows nicely, mainly because it's more fun to write. I'm also trying to improve my writing, so any feedback, whether positive or negative, is welcome!

Yang enrolls in the Imperial Officers’ Academy to study history, but despite his unusual and unmistakeable talent as both a tactician and a scholar, his classmates resent him for being a visible outsider. His Pet | Leatherface X OC (16+)
"Ohhhh, who's this again?" The creep asked. The one with the chainsaw shrugged quickly, looking to his right. I felt my heart jumping out of my stomach and my adrenaline pumping. "Bubba's got a girlfriend!" The creep bounced up and down, chanting that stupid shit. "P-please..." I begged. I looked into the killer's eyes. He looked.. embarrassed? He has emotion? Is that why he's not killing me? I saw him reach out to open the lock but his brother shoved him back, grabbing the lightweight chainsaw as he did. "Either sex... or the saw, Leatherface." His brother held up a chainsaw. I let out a small scream. "Le-leather... f-face?" I gasped, trying to somehow earn more sympathy. He looked at me and nervously fiddled with his tie.
