《Harrisons - The Last Chapter》Chapter Twenty: Dream Girl

"Wake up," She softly whispered in his ear. Her warm breath tingles his skin. She smells as sweet as she always does – like pineapples and coconuts. He groaned lowly in his sleep – protesting when she tries to take her hand from his hold. A smile stretched on his lips when he heard her melodious giggle, "Come on, it is getting late. You will be late for work." She mumbled in his ear before she soft bit his earlobes.
William sleepy protested again and when she tries to take her hand off him again, she pulled her back into him, "Please, stay with me. I want to keep you in my arms." He mumbled to Charlie – whose hair tickled his face as she hovered over him.
"Man, Robbe was right. You have completely lost it," A manly voice spoke. It did not belong to Charlie. William quickly opened his eyes to see his best friend hovering over him instead of Charlie. Theo's long blonde hair was the one that tickles his face and they smelled nothing like Charlie. Also, William noticed he was holding Theo by his waist – not Charlie. William's eyes widened when he realized the position he was in and yelped before he pushed his best friend off him.
"What the fuck, Theo?" William spat at his best friend as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. He was mortified to even think about what Theo must have heard him say when he was having yet another dream about the forbidden fruit of his life, Charlotte Harrison. He does not like to have those dreams on purpose – he has been trying very hard to stop thinking about her, but his heart just won't give it up.
Theo laughed and stood tall on his feet, "What am I doing? Dude, I just came to tell you that your phone has been ringing nonstop in the living room out there. I didn't realize you were having a wet dream about your boss's wife again," He told him and rolled his eyes.
William glared at Theo, "I was not having a wet dream," He mumbled – he was lying. He has a pretty nasty dream about Charlie last night. The dream if Marcus could know of, he will beat William black and blue before firing him and making sure he never gets a job anywhere in the world again.
Theo didn't have time to tease his friend, so he sniggered. "Yeah, okay. I put your phone on the side table," He pointed his thumb at his phone as he approached the bedroom door. He had to be at work so he kept it short, "I made coffee and pancakes – but I ate all the pancakes so it is just coffee," He grinned at a very annoyed-looking friend. Just as Theo was about to walk out of William's room – he halted, "Oh, and by the way – it is your dream girl's husband calling you," He notified his best friend before he was gone – once again leaving Will's bedroom's door wide open to annoy him.
William gaped, "Fuck," he cursed loud enough for Theo to hear outside his room before he lunged forward and pick up his phone. He had three missed calls from Mr. Harrison. He was officially late for work – this is why he should not have drunk on a weekday.
"Hope you are doing well, Uncle. I didn't know you were in London – I would have waited for you to return." Noel spoke on phone to Owen.

He spun around – facing the beautiful view out of his new penthouse. He placed one of his hands in the pockets of his sweatpants while in the other he held his phone to his ear. He landed in New York this morning, he would have waited a few more weeks in Paris if he had known that his uncle is not returning to New York before the end of this month.
He heard his uncle sigh from the other end, "Yes, I am doing well. And don't worry about it, I already asked Marcus to help you out. I am sorry I didn't tell you before I left – I just had to leave rather quickly," He answered Noel.
Noel softly smiled when he heard Marcus's name. He last met him at his Aunt Ruby's funeral. Marcus and Noel have never been close, but he didn't have any ill thoughts about the man, unlike his Aunt and his mother. He always found him caring, decent, and a good brother. Because of his mother's attitude towards him, Silas and Elizabeth don't like Noel or his brother Eugene.
When Eugene was a kid, he did act mean towards Marcus – completely because of his mother's brainwashing, but Noel would always explain to Eugene how it isn't Marcus's fault. By the time Eugene understood, it was too late – Marcus and Silas completely cut themselves off from Noel and his family – he didn't even get the chance to apologize to Marcus for his mother's ill behavior towards him when he was younger.
"Are you sure Marcus will not mind, Uncle? I heard he just got married – I don't want to annoy him for my business," Noel asked.
Owen chuckled lowly from the other end, "Marcus is not the one who would hold grudges. When I told him about your arrival, he was happy to see you again. He is my most sensible boy. Don't worry, he will help you out." He replied.
Noel chuckled and nodded, "I agree, Marcus has always been sensible – he never held grudge even when we were younger." He replied. Since Marcus was older than Noel, he didn't get to spend more time with him. Silas was also older, so he didn't spend time with him either, and also, Silas was never around to be friends with. But it was a different case with Elizabeth.
Noel and Elizabeth were such good friends when they were younger. They were always together – not only because they were of the same age but because they clicked when they were kids. But when Elizabeth and he grew older and she witnessed how bitter Noel's mother would be towards Marcus and then out of stupidity Noel made that one mean and very resentful comment – Elizabeth completely cut him off her life and to this day she doesn't like him – if anyone holds grudges in Harrison family, it is Elizabeth.
Marcus clenched his jaws. He flared his nostrils in frustration. He is annoyed by his four-legged guest – who stared back at Marcus – challenging him to do whatever he can. Marcus squinted, "You did it on purpose, didn't you?" He muttered at Bear, who stared back at Marcus – not even moving an inch back. Marcus can never understand what this dog's problem is with him.
When Silas asked to look after his dog when he is away for a week, Marcus wasn't sure but he couldn't say no, because one, this dog would have no other place to stay with his father and Elizabeth gone and two, Charlie and Kathie said yes before he could say no – so what's the point. Marcus heaved a sigh and pinched the bridge of his nose.

Charlie walked into the room with his other shoes, "Marcus, come on – he didn't mean it." Charlie chuckled as she witnessed how stubbornly Bear was staring at Marcus.
Marcus turned around to look at Charlie. He thanked her and kissed her head when took the shoes from her hand, "Don't say that. He meant it. I am telling you he did it on purpose. Why does he never poo and pee in your shoes? Why only mine? I am telling you, he did it on purpose just to make me late," Marcus spoke irritatedly while he put on the other shoes because Bear decided to poo in one of the new shoes that he was supposed to wear to work today.
Charlie laughed and petted Bear's head before she moved to her husband and kissed his cheek, "Don't be like that. Bear loves you, right Bear?" She asked Bear, who snarled at Marcus – making Marcus dully look at his wife, who snorted and laughed again. Everyone loves how much Bear resents Marcus for no apparent reason. "Okay, forget about it." Charlie waved her hand dismissively and saw Bear calmly walking out of her room – probably going to play with Kathie. "You hear anything from the police yet?" She asked – getting more serious about the issue.
Marcus sighed, "Yes, I talked to Jared. He did say that he get to have a conversation with Sean, but he didn't reveal anything else as it is an ongoing investigation and I have been personally keeping an eye on Silas and Maria's house security – everything is intact. I just hope Sean acks off now," Marcus spoke with a scowl on his face. His family is everything for him and if Sean decided to mess up with his brother or anyone else – he will do everything in his power to protect everyone against Sean.
Charlie sighed and sat beside Marcus. She placed her hand on his thigh and rested her head on his shoulder, "I just want all of you to be safe," She mumbled. Marcus glanced at her before he took her hand in his and kissed her knuckles. She looked closely at his handsome face. It has been years since the two of them have been together but since she feels goosebumps when she is near him. "When will you be home tonight?" She asked after a small pause.
Marcus lew his cheeks out, "It might take a while today – I am sorry, babe. I told you about Noel, didn't I?" He looked at Charlie, who slowly lift her head off his shoulder and nodded her head. Marcus did tell her about his cousin, Noel – who is in town and needs a bit of Marcus's help. Charlie also knows about his Aunt Monica – she finds her very dismissive towards Marcus and that doesn't sit well with Charlie, even if Marcus doesn't mind it. She hopes Noel isn't anything like his mother, if so then she will have a very hard time being around him.
"I was thinking about taking him for dinner tonight," He told her. "Just with me, before I introduce you to him." He shifted and faced her, "Don't get me wrong, I don't mind introducing you to him, but I am not sure how he is." Marcus paused and looked down, "You know how it is at mom's family – they don't entirely approve of me, so – I was thinking maybe I will check up on him before I introduce you and kids to him. We were never close so I am not sure how he feels towards me and I really don't want him to act disrespectful towards you or my kids," Marcus explained.
Charlie sadly smiled at Marcus. She holds his face in her hands and made him look at her, "If he is anything like his mother, I will never want to meet him, so I like your plan." She smiled and leaned in and kissed the tip of his nose, "And if he tried to disrespect you, I will kill him." She added with an innocent smile to which Marcus couldn't help but laugh and hug her – he is truly lucky to have a woman like her in his life.
At Sean's apartment, Elna strode back and forth – panicking because an investigator just left after questioning about Silas Harrison's house break-in – Elna wasn't aware of her brother's involvement in a crime, but she didn't doubt that he was capable of doing something so stupid and dangerous. "I don't know what am I going to do with you, Sean! You have completely lost your mind!" She yelled at her brother, but to no avail as he chuckled and shook his head.
"I didn't break into his house. I just hired someone to do it," He shrugged.
Elna flared her nostrils, "And if he was caught and told the police about you, huh? Did you think about that?" She snapped.
Sean calmly smiled, "Do you really think I hired someone who would get caught easily and if they do, they will open their mouth – Nah," He snickered. "You see, dearest sister, I hired a man who doesn't mind going to jail as long as I finance his family," He shrugged. "And anyway, he didn't get caught so, I win," Sean smirked.
Elna squinted her eyes, "What did you win exactly, huh? Silas and Maria are married. You didn't win anything – you have just lost your mind. You are playing a dead game, Sean. Maybe you should stop wasting your time on Maria and start focusing on how to get your son back from –" Elna halted when she received a deadly glare from her brother. Elna sighed, "Listen, Sean – you need to stop this madness. You cannot win, okay? They are already married now," She tried to calmly explain it to him.
Sean looked away, "I won because I did what I wanted – I ploy fear in their hearts. They are afraid of me – Silas Harrison is afraid of me. And this is just a beginning," Sean said lowly as he got on his feet, "Silas Harrison has nothing against me. He can never catch me – with or without police. I don't care if she is married to him now. Just like it shouldn't matter to you that Marcus and Charlotte got married too," Sean looked at his sister.
Sean can see that Elna has been hurting since the day she learned about Marcus and Charlie's wedding, but unlike him, she is pressing it inside her – which he thinks is a very stupid move. If she helps him – she can have Marcus – just like he will have Maria, but Elna knows what Sean doesn't want to process – it is impossible to separate Maria and Silas or Marcus or Charlie without hurting all of them, where Elna isn't ready to do it again – Sean doesn't mind hurting other to get what he wants.
Sean is certain to have Maria back, even if he has to have her by force – he doesn't care – as long as she is with him.
