"Dad, your hair is so short," Kathie mumbled as she struggled to put her tiny clip in Marcus's hair. Lately, Kathie has developed this obsession for long hair. She isn't very happy that Charlie got her hair short and can't wait for Ella to grow up so she could have long hair as well. She also asked her dad to grow his hair longer. Right now, she is trying to make her father's hair look pretty but is failing miserably because Marcus's hair is short.

Marcus smiled, "I am sorry, my love." Marcus replied to Kathie, who decided to give up on her dad's hair and lay on the couch behind him. She was on the couch, while Marcus was sitting down on the floor, trying to work on his laptop, but his daughter keep pulling his hair.

"Kathie, your pancakes are ready," Charlie announced from the kitchen. Kathie gasped as soon as she heard her mother and threw her fist in the air, "YES!" she yelled and jumped off the couch. She nearly tripped to which Marcus clicked his tongue, "Kathie, be careful." He gently scolded her, but she didn't care. She only giggled and ran to the kitchen.

Now that Kathie went to eat her breakfast, Marcus finally had the time to write the email, but just then he and Charlie heard Ella crying on the baby's monitor. She was finally up. Marcus glanced at Charlie, who was feeding Kathie. "I got it!" He announced and quickly closed his laptop and rushed to get his daughter. The image of his daughters crying alone in the room when they are downstairs doesn't sit well for Marcus, so as soon as he hears their cries – he rushes towards them.

Ella's cries get loud as he opened the door and saw her lying in her cot – punching her fist and kicking in the air, "Hey, dada's here. It's okay, baby, I am here." Marcus quickly strode to his daughter and held her in his arm. It pained him to see tears in her small eyes. "Oh, I am sorry. Did I take too long to get my girl?" He mumbled against her cheeks as he kissed the tears away.

Just like Kathie, Ella is also a dad's girl. She immediately went silent when Marcus held her in his arms and placed her cheek on his shoulder. "Good morning," He cooed to her and swing from side to side. Whenever Marcus is at home when his girls wake up in the morning, he is the one that goes to get them. Kathie is now old enough to come downstairs on her own, but when she was younger, Marcus would go get her from her room. "Are you hungry?" He asked Ella, who didn't understand a word her father said to her, but that didn't stop her from smiling at him.

Charlie smile proudly at Kathie as she ate her pancakes on her own. She looked down at Bear, who was also busy eating his breakfast. "Kathie, you finish those pancakes, okay? Don't give them to Bear," She pointed her finger at Kathie, who grinned and nodded her head. Kathie and Bear work like a team, when Kathie can't finish her food – Bear is always around her to eat what is left. Charlie chuckled at her and kissed her on the head before she decided to go and check on Marcus and Ella. He has been up there for a few minutes, and it is awfully quiet.

She quickly climb upstairs and saw the door to Ella's nursey ajar. She smiled when she walked near and heard Marcus's soft mumble. She didn't want to disturb the moment, so she wordlessly peeked into the room. Marcus stood in the middle of the room with their daughter in his arm, talking to her while she smiled at his father.

"I can get used to this," Charlie spoke as she heaves a sigh and leaned again the doorframe. Ella glanced at her mother and let out a shriek, but she didn't let go of her father. Marcus also turned around and chuckled at his wife, "You said this before as well," He reminded her as he walked towards her with their daughter in his arm.

Charlie smiled and nodded her head – she remember telling him this before – right after Ella was born. Marcus had Ella lying on his chest and Kathie was helping Charlie set Ella's nursery. There is a reason why Charlie is always saying this to him. She always thinks about the very beginning of their meeting, when Charlie first met Marcus, when she first saw Kathryn, when Marcus was like a block of ice to her, when she first started to work for him. She would not have believed it if someone would have told her about her future. She would have laughed if they told her that one day Marcus will marry here and together they will build a beautiful family. This all seems like a dream and no matter how much time passes, she can never get in enough of it.

"What are you thinking?" She was pulled out with Marcus's voice. He stood closer to her. In one arm he held his daughter while with the other hand, he pushed loose hair off Charlie's face, "Everything okay?" He asked.

Charlie looked at Marcus – her husband. It still makes her feel weird in her stomach when she calls him that, even when they have a child together, it is still hard to believe that Marcus actually fell in love with her. Marcus knitted his eyebrows together while a soft smile played on his lip. Charlie smiled back at her and held his hand in hers, "Do you have to work on a Sunday as well, Marcus?" She asked him.

Marcus pouted, "I am sorry I have been working a lot lately," He mumbled an apology before he kissed her forehead, "I promise, I will not work from home today," He added.

Charlie chewed her lower lip and wrapped her arms around his waist. She kissed Ella's soft cheeks as she laid her head on her father's shoulder, "Really?" She asked – her eyes glint. Even after they married, there hasn't been much difference in their life. They are always busy with kids. They hardly ever get any time together, "I was thinking about calling Ezra's sitter tonight – maybe we can go on a date?" She asked. They would have left the kids with Owen or Silas – but neither of them is around, so Charlie thought about Sandra – the only other person they trust – well, at least she does.

Marcus seemed conflicted. He has always been protective of his children and leaving them with a woman that he doesn't know doesn't sit well with him. It would have been different if it was someone from his family. Marcus ran his tongue across his lips and gently pressed her hand in his, "Babe, you know I can't trust an outsider – especially not right now. With everything going on with Silas and –" He tried to complete, but Charlie didn't let him.

"Hey," She whispered as placed her hand on his cheek. She could see how conflicted he was. He didn't want things to get too messy, and Charlie understand it. "Marcus, it's fine. We can stay at home and watch something on Netflix." She smiled at him – even when he seemed extremely guilty. "We could Netflix and chill," She chuckled as she added.

Marcus didn't answer her immediately. He told his time. He kept looking at Charlie, he could never understand how he got her in his life. How did he end up with such a supporting woman? Marcus didn't deserve her and she deserve the entire world. Marcus's life has wrenched him into this paranoid person – everything scares him. He is not scared for himself but for his children and this beautiful woman whom he calls his wife. Marcus leaned in and placed a soft kiss on her lips. He sighed and rested his forehead against hers, "I am sorry, Charlotte. I feel like I have restricted you in every way," He whispered.

Charlie closed her eyes and shook her head. She didn't agree with him. Marcus has given her more than she ever asked for. What he does is for their own safety. Charlie wasn't there when his mother made his life a living hell. She wasn't there when he lost Susan. She wasn't there when his family had turned their backs on him. She wasn't there when he was suffering alone. But she was there when part of his own family tried to betray him. She was hurt in the process. She did see him suffer. How can she ever complain after seeing glimpses of trouble that come with being a Harrison with her own eyes? She doesn't blame him nor does she ask him to change, because she can never understand what he went through in his life.

"When Silas and Maria come back from their honeymoon, I want to take you somewhere as well." He whispered. Charlie slowly opened her eyes. She pulled her eyebrows together, she didn't think they could go on a honeymoon when they have two children with them. "We all can go somewhere – anywhere you like," He added. Marcus glanced at Ella, who was now babbling something while playing with Marcus's ear before he wrapped his other arm around Charlie's waist. "I am tired, Charlie. I need a break – with no one but my family. We could go somewhere for a week. I am gagging for a vacation – to be around my kids – to be with my wife," He said as he kissed her cheek.

Charlie couldn't help but grin. Lately, she has been feeling very lonely – even when she is always surrounded by kids, she hardly ever get to spend time with her husband. She eagerly nodded her head, "Of course! Yes!" She giggled like a child. She was excited about the plan.

Marcus laughed at her excitement. Ella decided to laugh along with her father – not really knowing what was her mother was so happy about. "Great! So, can we please do that – Netflix and chill thing tonight, and once Silas and Maria get back, we go somewhere on our own?" He asked her.

"Yes," Charlie replied a placed a loud kiss on his cheek, "I love you so much," She told him. Marcus smiled and kissed her nose before he kissed her lips, "I love you too," He mumbled against her lips.

Charlie took Ella from Marcus, "Come on, you smelly little girl, we need to feed you something and then give you a bath." She spoke to Ella, who decided to put her chubby fist in her mouth. Marcus chuckled and kissed Ella's head, "I will help," He announced as they both walked down, just at the time to see Kathie feeding her pancakes to Bear.

Charlie chuckled. She knew this would happen, while Marcus rolled his eyes. "Kathie," Marcus sternly called her out. Kathie quickly looked towards her parent and innocently shrugged, "What? I am full already and Bear wasn't, so I fed him." She mumbled. Charlie kissed Kathie's head while Marcus pulled Ella's high chair and Charlie placed their daughter, "Bear is never full," Marcus commented to which Bear snarl at him, and like always Marcus ignored him.

Marcus eat a couple of berries that Charlie had put aside for her children, "So, what will we watch on Netflix?" He randomly asked.

Charlie had her back to him. She was rinsing Ella's feeding bottle. She halted for a moment before she slowly turned around. She had her eyes squinted and a mischievous smile on her face, "Marcus, sweetie, you know what Netflix and chill mean, right?" She asked him amusingly.

"Umm, we are going to watch something on Netflix?" He confusingly replied. Charlie laughed and shook her head, while Marcus stood straight – "Wait, it is not what it means?" He asked.

Charlie laughingly shook her head, "Well, not entirely." She replied and walked to him. She patted his chest, "Marcus, baby, you are getting old." She commented jokingly. Marcus rolled his eyes, "I am not that old yet," He defensively commented.

"Old, Marcus, you are old." She emphasized. "Netflix and chill mean, we put something random on Netflix while we – um," She glanced at Kathie who was busy with Bear and Ella was laughing at her cup. She stepped closer to him and suggestively traced her finger on his pelvis, "While we have sex," She added.

"Oh," Marcus felt dumb. Charlie is right. He is getting old. He chuckled and pinched the bridge of his nose, "That's – well, that's better than what I thought it was." He and Charlie laughed at his lack of certain knowledge.

Marcus looked at his kids, "How about we feed them, bathe them, and do other chores and after that, we could chill – I'd really like to chill." He said.

Charlie laughed and kissed his cheek, "On it, boss." She winked and playfully spanked his ass – catching him off guard. Marcus let out a surprised chuckle as he saw his wife helping their children with breakfast.

"So gonna chill," He whispered to himself.
