Chapter Text
The back door opened. "Craig, Tweek. Clyde is trying to- Oh... Hey Kyle..." Stan looked at Kyle, his breath got in his throat. "What is Clyde doing now?" Tweek asked, already standing up with Craig. "Oh right, he um, he's trying to jump off the table." Stan said and the couple groaned. "Not this shit again." Craig said, walking inside. Tweek quickly turned to Kyle and mumbled something before leaving. "Um..." Stan mumbled awkwardly looking around the backyard. "Hello Stan" Kyle said, looking up at him with a lopsided smile. "Holy shit dude, are you high?" Stan asked, sitting next to Kyle. "What? No..." Kyle took a longer pause then he usually would, "Okay maybe just a bit. But I feel sooo good." Kyle said, holding his hand up slightly before pausing. "Where'd my fingers go? They're not there anymore." Kyle frowned and Stan shook his head with a small smile on his face.
"Yes they are."
"No they aren't, look!"
"I'm looking and I see them."
"No you don't."
"Yes I d- look."
Stan grabbed Kyle's fingers and smiled. Kyle felt a warmth spread through his body, it wasn't hot like fire but it wasn't lukewarm. It felt comforting, like it would never leave him again. Kyle wanted to stay in the warmth forever. "Come on, let's get you to Kenny." Stan said but Kyle quickly shook his head. "No, don't want you to leave me." The ginger mumbled leaning against him. Stan felt the air leave his body once again as they sat there.
"You look nice tonight." Stan mumbled and Kyle hummed. They stayed in silence for a while before finally, Stan leaned his head on top of Kyle's after about 5 minutes. "I have to get you to Kenny." Stan mumbled, yet, he made no effort to move. "We need to talk." Kyle said, but Stan shook his head. "Tomorrow, I'm slightly tipsy and you're high. I want to talk when we're both sober." Kyle nodded at Stan's words. "That makes sense." and with that, the exes went back to the quiet.

"Stan? Where did you go?" Wendy called from inside the house. Stan sighed. "Welp, looks like you have to go to Kenny." Stan mumbled. "And you have to go to Wendy." Kyle frowned. They stayed in each others warmth for a few moments longer before standing up. "Do you know where Kenny is?" Stan asked, still holding Kyle's hand. Kyle nodded, looking at Stan.
The world around them felt stuffy, Kyle felt like he was being pulled in by some invisible force. Suddenly it stopped, the world finally stopped pulling them and Kyle's lips were pressed against Stan's. Nothing had ever felt so right to them. Kyle's hands wrapped around Stan's neck and Stan's on Kyle's waist, pulling each other closer. They both felt whole.
Then they pulled away and Stan ran. Kyle stayed outside for a minute, stunned. He looked around, although he knew nobody else was there. Slowly he made his way back inside and into the basement. No longer having that happy feeling he had 10 minutes ago, he just felt bad.
"Kenny." Kyle mumbled as he walked into the basement. "What's up?" Kenny asked, looking up from his cards. "Can I have your jacket?" Kyle asked, trying to curl up next to him. Kenny gave him a worried look as he handed him his jacket. "You okay? Do you want to leave?" He whispered in Kyle's ear and Kyle nodded. "Welp, I'm done. I'm sick of Cartman stealing Leo's fucking quarters when he's not watching." Kenny said, standing up with Kyle. "See y'all later." Kenny waved as he left with Kyle in his hand.
"Wait, I want a drink." Kyle said, leading Kenny into the surprisingly empty kitchen. "Did something happen? You don't usually do this stuff." Kenny said, holding one of Kyle's hands. "Yes? No? I don't know, I just feel horrible." Kyle said, pouring himself a shot. "Well drinking isn't going to help it. Talk to me." Kenny said cupping Kyle's cheek.

"I got high. I kissed Stan. I'm so sorry. I feel like I wronged you because of it." Kyle mumbled. "You didn't, Kyle, that's what you wanted!" Kenny smiled but Kyle shook his head. "He ran off before I could say anything." Kyle frowned as he picked up the shot and downed it. "Kyle, come on, let's go." Kenny said and led him outside.
Once inside Kyle's house, Kenny hugged Kyle and wouldn't let go. Kyle didn't cry nor did he talk. He simply laid against Kenny, listening to music. "Thank you for being the only person I have." Kyle mumbled before letting sleep finally take over. The feeling of Stan's lips on his never leaving.

Numbers Continually Going Upward
The world has very politely ended in the most webfiction way possible. Everyone is now leveling up in various things. Problems are arising. Some or all of those problems may be based around how to have a community barbeque when the nearest cow has been teleported to a few thousand miles away, along with the nearest supermarket. Join our protagoinst as he attempts to be a cool person, while everything falls apart. _____It turns out that any attempt to write a parody of the litrpg genre through overuse of the concept of leveling up inevitably fails when it turns out that *that is what the genre is based on*. Still, this was a fun little candy project of mine, and I might write more of it.

8 63To The Far Shore
Post apocalyptic Oregon Trail. The apocalypse has come and gone. And come back again, and left again... nobody really knows how often. Nothing lasts forever, but nothing is ever completely gone. Which is a shame for young Mazelton, as his family has been around a terribly long time, and made an astonishing amount of enemies. Millenia's worth. So he has to run- from mobs, cannibals, soldiers, sailors, cholera, cattle, thieving sales-monks, starvation, mechanical horrors, vengeful spirits, negotiating your own marriage, and poison of every sort. Fortunately, his not terribly nice family has trained him well in the arts of core polishing. Or as you and I might know it- turning radioactive pellets into useful tools. And weapons. Updates Monday-Wednesday-Friday. Usual defensive tags applied. The goal isn't exactly family friendly, but you have probably seen worse on network TV. After the watershed. Not full blown HBO, let's say. This is the first novel I am sharing publicly, so feedback is very much appreciated and encouraged. Act 1 of the novel is completed, but do please let me know what works, what doesn't, and what you would like to see more of. Thank you, and Enjoy!
