《I can't seem to let you go (A story I thought was Style but isn't)》Chapter 5

It was weird pretending to date Kenny. Kenny was different from how Stan was. Stan would give small kisses on the lips before he left for class. Kenny, on the other hand, would pull Kyle into a deep kiss, leaving him flustered for a moment or two. Stan would scratch Kyle's hair in that spot that felt just right when they were alone. Kenny opted instead to hold Kyle close when they cuddled, not in a sexual way either, just cuddling. Kenny didn't skip out on their "dates" to go to a party with Bebe. Kenny also didn't leave for almost an hour without telling Kyle, when he tagged along to party.

Speaking of Bebe's parties, that's where he and Kenny were headed right now. Kyle had a white crop top, a thin orange sweater, and boots. Kenny complimented saying that he looked hot and how jealous he would make Stan. Kyle felt his stomach churn with nerves. He couldn't believe he looked good. "If you get too uncomfortable I can always give you my jacket." Kenny said, wrapping his arms around the ginger's waist. Kyle gave him a smile and shook his head. "I'll be fine. I might go outside in a minute though" Kyle said and Kenny nodded. "They're playing poker down in the basement. Ima be down there." Kenny said, pressing a kiss to Kyle's jaw. Kyle smiled, "Okay" Was all he said before Kenny gave him one last look and left.

Kyle watched as people danced, yelled, and drank. He let out a soft sigh, wrapping his arms around himself before heading outside. It was too hot inside with all those people. The cold air hit him quickly and he shivered. Kyle took a deep breath, watching his breath in front of him. "Hey Kyle." A voice said behind him. Kyle turned to see Tweek and Craig sitting against the wall, a joint in craigs hand. "Hey" Kyle said and Tweek patted the spot next to him. Kyle sat next to him and watched as Tweek took a drag and promptly blew the smoke in Craig's face causing him to give the smallest of smiles. Lucky bastards. "So you're dating Kenny now?" Craig asked. Kyle was honestly shocked Craig talked to him but he nodded. "Yeah, Kenny and I have been dating for almost a month now." Kyle said and Tweek and Craig shared a look. "Guess our gaydar was wrong, we thought he liked Butters." Craig said, taking the joint from Tweek. "I think you're bullshitting us. You never showed interest in Kenny before. You're very obvious when you like someone." Craig added.

"Well everyone thought you and Tweek hated each other until you both started dating back in 4th grade." Kyle said. "He's got us there hun." Craig said, causing Tweek to chuckle. Craig took own drag before pulling Tweek into a kiss, blowing the smoke into his mouth. They both let out a chuckle watching a smoke come out of Tweeks mouth. "How do you both do it?" Kyle asked suddenly, breaking the couples serene moment. "What? Putting smoke into the other's mouth? Basically we-" Tweek began to explain but Kyle stopped him. "That's not what I mean. I mean.. How do you guys stay together after all this time? How do you stay so happy?" Kyle asked and pulled his knees to his chest. Craig and Tweek looked at each other before putting out the joint.

"Okay, this might not make sense because to be honest we're high out of our minds but we communicate. We talk to each other if something either one of us said, did, or is doing bothers us. Example um... I said something about Craigs braces that he didn't like, Craig would come to me when we're alone or pull me aside and be like.." Tweek looked at Craig "I don't really like it when you talk about my braces." " And we talk about it. Sometimes it can lead deeper and sometimes get into an argument. If the other needs some space, we'll give it to them. But then we'll go back and talk about it again." Tweek said and Craig wrapped an arm around him. "We just work things out." Tweek added and Kyle nodded. "But what if you're already so mad it feels like the only thing you can feel right in that moment and you take it out on the other?" Kyle asked.

"You cool down and then talk." They said in unison

"What if you end up saying something really hurtful?" Kyle asked

"You apologize and talk."

"What if the other isn't ready to talk?"

"You wait and then talk."

"What if your partner is the one who said the hurtful thing?"

"You let them cool down and if they don't apologize, then maybe they still aren't fully ready."

"But what if-"

"Oh my fucking god you talk to them! You need to talk to Stan!" Craig said as he rolled a new joint. "But... What if they don't want to talk?" Kyle asked. "Then you let that person go." Craig said as he passed the lit joint to Kyle. "Craig, I don't think Kyle smo-" Kyle burst into a coughing fit. "Oh shit." Tweek said, looking surprised. "You good?" Craig asked as Kyle's coughing died down. "Yeah, I only smoked once before." Kyle said, taking another hit. "Well if you're ever looking to buy me and Kenny sell." Tweek said and Kyle shook his head. "Suit yourself."

Kyle doesn't know how long he was outside, all he knows is that he felt good. His mind was mush and his body tingled. He didn't know if Craig and Tweek were still outside or if they had left. He enjoyed the way the lights looked, they had this calming aura to it. Kyle felt weightless, free even, he didn't want the feeling to end. It felt as if he could feel the music that played inside the house, he was a part of it. Kyle was happy. Not truly happy, only a fabricated happiness created by the weed that he knew wouldn't last. But, hey, it was better than nothing at this point.
