It's been a little over a week since what happened in the woods, I screamed for help and when help came they saw James dead. Whispers rang across the village that I killed James but I just kept my mouth shut. My children and I are having supper when we hear the door downstairs slammed open, I get up "stay here" I order my kids but when I go to the door that leads downstairs men come in and grab me and my children "what is going on?" I demand as we are dragged out of our home

"You and your children" Conner Thatcher look at me and my children with hatred "are sentenced to death"

"On what grounds?" I demand

"On the grounds that you murdered my son!" Melissa Thatcher, wife of Conner and mother of James cries out. She looks at us with rage as tears run down her cheeks.

"We did no such thing!" Alec yells, he's soon thrown to the grown and beaten.

"Stop!" I yell "Stop!"

"Bring them to the cellars" the mayor orders, we are soon dragged then chained away from each other.

"Mother" Jane cries, I look over and see Alec's face bloody and bruised.

"Don't worry" I tell them "everything will be alright"

"Mother!" I hear Jane scream, when I open my tired eyes I see some of the men drag my daughter out then my son and finally me. For the past week Jane and I have been raped while Alec was forced to watch, for some reason during that time I had a feeling I was going to be saved by Caius again but as each day went by that feeling dims.

We hear screams and shouts, I look around and there's people holding pitch forks and torches. Soon three stakes were made, I was brought to the middle and the twins at the side. The kids and I were tied to watch each other burn. We were spread far enough away from each other that they believed we would try to help one another.

"Mother!" they scream to me

"These three" the mayor announces "have been accused as witches, now they will be burned" we hear everyone scream in delight with us being burned. I look around at all of the faces that I use to help for free, if I ever get out of these I will make sure they all pay.

"Mother!" my kids scream

"I love you two so much" I tell my kids, when fires were put to each of us I don't scream. I won't give them the satisfaction of seeing my pain, I look at everyone hatred in my eyes. I close my eyes at look up to the sky letting the fire engulf me.

Just then I feel hands grab me then someone bites my neck and the most horrific pain fills my bones, worse than being burned.

When I heard my mate was to be burned at the stake along with the twins I ran back to her, when I see her look up to the sky as the flames engulfed her I run to her. Aro goes to the twins, he grabs them as I grab my mate and carry her away to the house we have a few miles from town. I bite down on my mate as Aro turns the twins, I hold her hand as my mate lays perfectly still.

Rage fills me, when I got there I smelled her scent on several of the men in town. When my mate wakes I will kill all of those men and make everyone watch as I destroy them.

"Caius" I hear Aro say my name from the doorway

"You said she would be fine" I growl "you said that I had nothing to worry about"

"I was wrong" he says, I hear the twins scream in agony as they transform while I just stay by my mates side as she lays perfectly still.
