"I swear Mrs. Chung is always leaving us extra homework on the weekends. Doesn't she know we basically live in the church on Sundays." Jimin groaned one Friday afternoon as they practiced a new routine for Mass on Sunday.

According to him, their religion teacher hated him for no reason, always picking on him.

"Stop whining Chim. No one likes whiners." Taehyung scolded playfully, reading over the musical notes carefully.

It was just him and Jimin at the church, his father had allowed them to practice right after school, surprising him when he agreed to let him go.

He was always reluctant to let him out of the house, but since it was related to the church, he deemed it fit to let him out of the house.

That was as far as he could ever go.

"Don't you get... Tired of it?" Jimin asked quietly.

"Tired of what?" Taehyung asked, setting down the paper in his hands and giving jimin his full attention.

"Coming here every Sunday. Listening to the same thing over and over again like a broken record? Listening to what God deems right and wrong? Knowing that we as human beings sin every single day and its inevitable. We come here and confess our sins, but we go home and do them again. No matter how hard we try, we'll never be free of sin."

Taehyung stayed quiet for a few seconds, trying to find the right words to say.

"You're right. It's in our nature to sin, but it's also temptation that leads us to it. You need to pray to Him to take all of those temptations away. It's only then that you'll be able to live a life free of sin. And as for your question, no. I don't get tired of it. He's all i know. When I'm sad or when I'm happy, I pray to him. I think of all the good things He gives me every single day. I know the Bible inside out, it's my holy grail."

It was the first time Jimin had mentioned anything remotely close to his personal thoughts and feelings about God. It certainly surprised Taehyung, but he knew it was in his power to help his friend.

"...I don't think I can ever live a life free of sin." Jimin whispered, playing with his chubby fingers.

"Don't say that Jimin. Everyone can, you just need to want it. God is so powerful." Taehyung frowned.

"Y-Yeah maybe."

"Perhaps you can speak to father about your questions? I'm sure he will be more than happy to answer them for you." Taehyung suggested, eyes searching for his answer.

"N-No! That's okay, maybe you are right Taehyung. Maybe they are just temptations." Jimin answered quickly, making Taehyung stare at him warily.

"Are you sure? He can really help you-" Taehyung began.

"No, really. It's okay. I think we should get back to practicing." Jimin smiled, practically snatching the music stand.

"Did you and Jimin memorize the new songs?" Taehyung's father asked later that night as they sat around the table for dinner.

"Yes father. They are very beautifully written." Taehyung smiled at his mother, who gave him one back.

"I can't wait to hear you sing on Sunday." She said, reaching over the table to give his hand a squeeze.

"Very well. Oh, and tell Jimin to go see me before Mass on Sunday. That boy has not confessed." His father shook his head, looking disappointed.

"Of course, father. He's just been busy with schoolwork lately, as have I." Taehyung tried to excuse his friend.

"That's no excuse. You still managed to confess last Sunday." His father pointed out.

"I suppose you are right."

It was silent after that.

When Taehyung told Jimin of his father's request that Sunday, the poor boy's face paled.

"R-Right now?" He had asked, gulping harshly.

Taehyung simply nodded and encouraged him to go on.

"O-Okay, I'll be right back." He breathed, almost tripping over a chair.

"Jimin, it will all be okay. Just tell him everything, you'll feel so much better afterwards. Trust me." Taehyung smiled, gently pushing Jimin towards the little room.

Taehyung watched as Jimin turned around right before stepping in, giving Taehyung an unreadable expression.

The church boy simply gave him a smile and a thumbs up.

Taehyung was busy setting up the choir for Mass in half an hour when Jimin at last walked up to him.

"Hey, how did it go?" Taehyung asked.

"Uh- Yeah, I think it went well." Jimin smiled shakily.

"Come on, lets set up."
