Sesshomaru pov:

We finally got off the flying piece of metal and I looked around at the strange surroundings. There were many more of these flying things around of different shapes and sizes.

“Natsu!” “Natsu, my darling!” I snapped my head and saw 2 people running towards us and I growled dangerously. A male and a female with their arms outstretched and several other people running behind them. My blood boiled when they called MY Natsu as ‘darling’ and I felt my claws and fangs grow longer. “Mom….Dad….”

Natsu mumbled and I looked at her strangely. I could smell her tears and I frowned. “Mom! Dad!” She screamed and ran to the 2 people. She embraced them and sniffled. “I missed you.” Her voice was soft and yearning and I narrowed my eyes as others joined in the hug and she hugged other people without my permission.

Even that eastern lord’s general went around hugging everyone and I growled again. Natsu seemed to remember that I was still here and she turned to me. Rin was hiding behind me and the half demon was trembling a few feet from me. She smiled and walked to us and held the children’s hands.

We walked towards the group of humans who were watching us curiously and I grumbled under my breath annoyed. “Guys, I’d like to introduce you to Sesshomaru, Rin and Kaito.” They all watched….or more like stared and I felt more irritated. Natsu sighed and walked back to her parents.

“We need to talk.”

Natsu pov:

“We need to talk.” I said to my mom and dad and they widened their eyes. “Oh dear! You got married to him and those are your kids right? Natsu! How could you not tell us! Jeez!” My eyes went slightly wide and I blushed deeply.

“Mom! Don’t jump into conclusions! We’re not married! Though we do kinda….like each other….” I mumbled the last part out and my mother tsk’d under her breath. “I actually thought they were my grandchildren.” I blushed again. “Mom…..” Leave it to her to make everything embarrassing. I mean, Sesshomaru and I hadn’t even gone a bit past the level of kissing and mom was already talking about grandkids….-.-‘

“Mom….I was gone 1 year, right? Even if….*cough*…Rin is 8 years old and Kaito is 10!” I yelled still blushing scarlet and she sighed dramatically. I scratched my cheek and then my mom deadpanned. “But honey, why are you in a kimono? I thought you hated kimonos.”

I sweatdropped and sighed. “Well….maybe we should go some place isolated….there’s something you all need to know.” I said they frowned suspiciously. Nevertheless, we headed into the airport and went into a discussion room. All the attendants were sent out and the only people there were mom, dad, Rei, the professor and the 4 of us. I lifted up Rin and Kaito and got them to sit in the chairs.

When we had entered the airport, seeing the number of people, the kind of atmosphere….Rin, Sesshomaru and Kaito had gotten really tense. Kaito had gotten suddenly scared and his wings had almost popped out. But just before it could happen, I had picked him up and told him that he had to calm down and control his wings from coning out. So when we had come into the conference room, they had felt less tense.

I had also ordered coffee for us and hot chocolate for the kids. When it arrived, I pampered the kids a little till they were comfortable and then sat down in my seat to get the talk of the details started. I took a deep breath as I held the coffee cup in my hands.

“Natsu, what is it you wanted to talk about?” I looked at the professor. “Professor…..what I’m about to tell you, is very….delicate. its something we cant let anyone beside that people in this room know.” I said sternly and he frowned. But he nodded and motioned for me to continue.

“Sesshomaru, Rin and Kaito are from the feudal era….500 years in the past. Sesshomaru is a full fledged demon and Kaito is half demon.” the room was silent for a minute but then everyone except the ones who knew the truth burst into laughter. I felt a vein pop but I kept quiet waiting for their laughter to die down.

“Oh N-Natsu dear! Th-that’s hilarious! I know you like playing pranks, but I think this is over the top! I-I mean, time travel?! Hahahaha!! Demons??! Hahaha!” Dad banged the table with his fists still laughing crazily and I heaved a breath.

I slapped both hands on the table and stood up. The kids flinched next to me and Sesshomaru narrowed his eyes. “This isn’t a joke, guys. I’m being really really serious.” I stared at them and they sighed. “Natsu….I know this must be important to you….but the thing about demons and the feudal era….its a little difficult to believe.” I ran a hand through my hair and picked up Kaito. I made him stand on the table and I held his shoulders gently.

“Kaito, I want you to open your wings ok?” I asked with a gentle smile. He looked slightly scared and I hugged him. He wrapped his arms around my neck and I patted his back. “But mommy…I mean ne chan….” I faltered for a second when he called me mom instead of sister. I felt a pang of hurt through me but I smiled again.

“Don’t worry, no one will hate you here. I promise.” I said and I felt him nod slightly. He tightened his hold on me and his black wings slowly tore out of his clothes. I was a little surprised too. He had learnt to control his wings and their span was longer than the first time we met. And he had definitely grown taller and well built. He was on his knees and hugging me….which meant he was about as tall as my shoulder.

Wait a minute…..did he have some kind of sudden growth spurt? When we investigated the plane in the feudal era, he wasn’t this tall….and he used to have 4 wings, not 2 big ones. I guess it was part of the transformation of being a demon. I patted his head and smiled seeing the dumbstruck faces of everyone else around. “Ok Kaito, you can cover them up now.”

His wings slowly retracted and I pulled away from him. I patted his head again and sat him down on the chair again. I turned to everyone else. “Now do you believe me?” Their mouths were slack open and they just nodded their heads slowly. I chuckled. “Close your mouths before you catch flies.”

After a few minutes of silence, my dad spoke. “So what do you propose we do?” I bit my lip. “I think for the time being, we should head over to my house. We can think of what to do after something falls into my empty stomach.” My stomach let out a growl and we broke into laughter. Though, Sesshomaru didn’t seem to be enjoying at all.

The professor got some people to get us some normal clothes and I changed and got Rin changed too. I asked Rei to help Kaito and Sesshomaru and he didn’t seem too happy about it. But after 15 minutes of constant and begging persuasion, he agreed. I came our wearing white capries and a red t shirt and Rin was in a chute summer one piece dress. Sesshomaru was in a light purple suit and I must say, he looked very handsome. Kaito was wearing black pants and a loose white t shirt and Rei too came out wearing blue jeans, a white t shirt and a purple scarf.

Sesshomaru was still holding his swords and I walked to him and held out my hand. “We cant carry weapons openly here, so we’ll put it in a container and we’ll carry it back.” He narrowed his eyes and I sighed. “Don’t worry, everything is safe here.” I said and he gave in unwillingly.

We exited the conference room and the airport was as busy as it always is. Kaito stayed close to me, though he did look a little more confident than before and Rin was stuck to Sesshomaru. People who passed by stared and whispered and I’m sure Sesshomaru already had fan girls. They watched him and giggled and blushed and I smiled smugly knowing that he like me.

I was greeted by several staff members in the airport and asked about my well being, which received a growl from Sesshomaru everytime, but we finally made it out of the airport and walked towards the parking lot. “Hey, is that Rei’s car?” I pointed to the black top open car in the parking lot. The professor nodded and I cheered. “We took it out regularly so that it stayed in its best performance.

“Sweet.” I grinned and I ran to the car. “I’m driving this home! Rei you can go with Mom, dad and prof in their car.” I yelled and got in the drivers seat. “Hey! That’s my car! I’m gonna drive!” He yelled and ran to me. I stuck my tongue out and motioned for Sesshomaru, Rin and Kaito to hop in. being demons, they didn’t open the door and literally jumped in. Professor threw the key to me and I stuck my tongue out at Rei again as he sighed in defeat.

“Alright! Lets get this baby moving!” I yelled and started the ignition. The car revved to life and the 3 people inside stiffened. Sesshomaru was next to me in front and the kids were at the back. I turned my head and backed out of the parking lot and then began to drive out of the parking lot to the main streets.

The kids opened their mouths and let out squeals in excitement seeing the different sky scrapers and the vehicles moving around us. “This human world is so polluted.” Sesshomaru was scrunching up his nose and he looked uncomfortable. I chuckled slightly and rested and arm on the door as I controlled the steering with one hand. My hair flew behind me in the breeze and I felt nostalgic being here.

“Yeah, its not like the feudal era. Technology has both positives and negatives. We don’t have much of the forest left either.” I said and smiled. I held the steering with the hand I had resting on the window and reached my other hand to hold his. He looked at me questioningly. “Don’t worry. Things here may be a lot different from the feudal era, but I know everything about it. And I’m sure a strong demon like you can handle a small change of pace.”

I giggled and Sesshomaru smirked. After a half an hour ride, we finally reached my house. And since my house was pretty big and modern and in the middle of a huge lawn, the ones in the car gaped at it like it was some alien. I chuckled and got out of the car. I walked into the site and I turned when I heard voices calling me.

“Ne chan!!!” I grinned and picked up Masato kun and twirled him in the air once. “Oh my! Masato kun has become so tall! And heavy!” I chuckled and he pouted. “Have you been eating too much chocolate?” I teased and he put his hands up in protest. “Ne chan!!!” I giggled and apologized. “Okay okay! I’m sorry!” “Ne chan! where had you gone? We all missed you!”

I ruffled his head and smiled. “I missed you too.” I beckoned for Rin and Kaito to come to where I was and the appeared next to me hesitantly. “Masato kun, this is Rin and Kaito. They’re your new friends ok?” He grinned and bowed overly excited. “My name is Masato! You can call me Masato kun! Nice to meet you Rin chan, Kaito kun!” I chuckled at his excitement and shook my head.

“You guys can play tomorrow ok? Its late, you should head home now before you mother worries.” Masato nodded vigorously and ran away waving back at us. I chuckled again and walked to my house door. But this time, Rei and my parents had also arrived home and I stood on my toes and reached for the spare key I kept on the roof. I opened the lock and let everyone in.

“Well, make yourselves at home!” I smiled and shrugged. I threw the car keys at Rei and he chuckled as he caught it. I turned to look at everyone and grinned. “So who’s hungry for a cheese pizza?” I lifted up my hand and so did Rei, mom and dad. I assumed the kids and Sesshomaru would probably find it tasty too so I told Rei to give the store a call and order enough for all of us.

“I’ll get us some water.” I said and headed to the kitchen as everyone else sat down on the couch and relaxed. I got out glasses and poured water into them but turned around when I heard footsteps. “Hey Sesshomaru. So….what do you think of my house?” I asked with a smile, but he just stared blankly. I blinked and tilted my head to the side. He walked up to me and brought his arm around my lower back and pulled me flush to him.

I smiled as I placed my hands on his chest and closed my eyes as he leaned down. His kiss was gentle but had a feeling of rush and passion. He tilted his head and deepened the kiss. He licked my lip and I tightened my fist on his clothes and parted slightly. His tongue gently grazed mine and I reached up and caressed his cheek with one hand. After a few seconds, he pulled away and I stayed with my eyes closed.

I opened my eyes and I could see the deep pools of gold of his eyes. I smiled softly and laid my head against his chest. “I love you, Sesshomaru.” I said softly and I felt him place his chin on my head. I closed my eyes in bliss and sighed.

“See, I told you they were together!” “I never said they weren’t!” “You did!” “Did not!” “Oh c’mon!” I blinked and pulled away from Sesshomaru. I looked at the kitchen door and sweatdropped when I was mom dad and professor peering and talking in hushed whispers. Sesshomaru’s ears twitched and I felt him stiffen.

I groaned and let my forehead fall against Sesshomaru’s chest. “C’mon guys! Doesn’t anyone know the word privacy?” I groaned and they stepped out. Rei stepped out too but he looked defeated. “I tried to stop them….” He shrugged and I sighed again.

Our stay here was going to be one embarrassing memory….
