《Christmas Wish (Completed)》Chapter 14

It has been a month since I shared a kiss with Holly. There is nothing more I would love to do than to kiss her again but I haven't had the chance.
Halloween has came and gone with now Thanksgiving today. Holly got small things and hung up a few things for Nicolas in the room, along with one little craft they worked on together during his chemotherapy rounds, to help keep him calm through them. Which is a tissue paper on cardboard all puffed up and attached with glue for Christmas.
In the last month, I about thought I was going insane because I started having dreams when I sleep. The first one that came the night after sharing that kiss with Holly. Isabel seemed to have just appeared in my dream telling me not to let Holly go because she is what Nicolas and I need. The other dreams I have had are of Holly being in Nicolas and mine life with us all three happy.
Nicolas has had good and bad days. The worst days are after having the chemo, but he has stayed happy and in high spirits.
Tony is having a field day at the shop with all the pictures that has been booked. One day he was so busy, he worked past midnight. I have been working on my computer going through the images and making sure each one has nice lighting and edits done to where the pictures of all the families are the best they can be.
Our business has been booming which is great and for the first time with a holiday season upon us, I am not sad like I normally am. Seeing so many families coming in for yearly portraits or to have a potrait taken and us make out their holiday cards has left me sad because I didn't have that anymore completely since it has just been me, a widowed father, and my son, but I am hopeful this year.
A knock on the door, has me hitting save on the current card I was putting together for one of the customers and closing my laptop.

Holly walks in with Dr. Moore.
"Good morning." I stand and Nicolas smiles waving at them both.
"Good morning guys. How are you feeling this morning?" Holly walks over to Nicolas.
"I feel good. Watching my show Uncle Tony brought me, it is a new one." Nicolas bounces some on the bed.
"That is great little man. You're going have to tell me all about it once you finish it." Holly stands by the bed.
"So, we come bring some good news today." Holly starts and looks to Dr. Moore.
"After the last couple of test we have ran, Nicolas's numbers were just about where we need for the stem-cell transplant. Today's came back even better, so we have it scheduled for tomorrow with today being Thanksgiving. I have another operation to tend to today, but I moved things to get Nicolas in for it." Dr. Moore smiles.
"I also have been going over the blood samples in which Jack, you are the closest match for what Nicolas will need. So I will have papers to go over with you along with explaining the risk and the care you will need after harvesting of the cells we need from you." Holly looks over to me.
"I will see you both bright and early around three in the morning to get the harvest from you first and then Nicolas will be having the transplant done closer to noon. He has been prepped and ready for the transplant already with how his treatments have been running." Dr. Moore shakes my hand and leaves the room.
"Will it hurt Holly?" Nicolas looks to her.
Holly sits on the side of his bed and touches his arm.
"It won't hurt you at all." She smiles at him.
"What about Daddy will it hurt him? I don't want Daddy to hurt just to help me." Nicolas speaks up again.
"No it won't hurt. It may make him very sore after but it won't hurt during us getting what's needed." She rubs his arm more.

I honestly don't care if it does hurt, if it is to help my son I am doing it in a heartbeat.
"Your going to go home right to be with your parents and sister today?" I ask Holly.
"Nope. I am going to be right here today. My parents are cooking but they know I have to be here because tomorrow is a big day for both of you and I have to make sure to go over everything with you." Holly smiles.
"I hate that your going to miss out on family time." I sit on the bed next to Nicolas too.
"Eh, no biggie really Mom and Dad spend most of their time traveling anyway and they understand on what I want to do by being here. It is mainly food and Jewels is going to actually be bringing us all up a plate to where we can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. Plus after midnight you cannot eat and little man here will be restricted on what he can eat."
Holly goes over all the steps needed for the transplant and my harvesting tomorrow. I end up getting a small hand cramp from all the signing because there is alot to do especially on my part being a donor.
Once all the papers were signed and questions answered, Holly says she will be right back. I look to Nicolas and he smiles at me. Before there is a knock at the door again, and Holly steps back in but without her computer and papers.
"Well, I am officially off for the day." She smiles and sits in the chair next to Nicolas's bed.
"Still don't want to go home?" I smirk.
"Nope. I had promised Nicolas that I would watch his shows with him on my next day off and that is today." Holly smiles and watches Nicolas's show with him.
I pull my computer back out and get to work on more of the customers cards, since most of them have deadlines. It is the only way I am working right now and it helps Tony to where he is not doing all of my business parts, even though we typically do our own editing this just gives me something to still do.
It means so much to me that Holly has remembered her promise to Nicolas and is following through with it. Not to mention, I know she won't do this with other patients but the three of us having gotten close and attached rather quickly.
Nicolas finishes the new movie and by the end of his next show he is fast asleep for a nap, needing to still work on bringing up his energy levels.
Holly has a book on her lap reading through it and my eyes go wide just like that book she holds.
"It is a medical one." She whispers with a small giggle.
I get up and stand over her shoulder. "Most of those words I have no clue what they even mean." I chuckle.
Holly looks up to me and I take the chance to get a little closer to her, looking at her lips.
"I keep thinking about that kiss and wanting more." She breathes on my lips.
I capture her lips in a sweet embrace, leaning down to her more while she sits in the chair. Right as I go to ask for entrance to taste her more there is a knock on the door, making her jump back in the chair and I stand up straight clearing my throat some.
A/N---
Hey Hey Guys!!!
It's good Nicolas is getting the transplant the next day right?
Anyone bummed because they got stopped from further their second kiss?
Should they even be taking the risk and sharing a kiss in the room?
