Jack is quick to stand straight up and I am thankful he wasn't holding me or he would've jerked me right out of the chair when there was a knock on the door. Not that I am much help, I jerked back into the chair instead of staying leaned up I like had done to get closer to Jack.

I was more thinking Nicolas would catch us kissing. Jack walks over to the door and I glance at the clock.

"Happy Thanksgiving! I brought food." I hear Jewels talking.

She walks in a second later and the door closes back. Placing a small box on the counter, Jewels smirks at me and whip the side of her lip trying to signal to me.

I don't even wear chapstick half the time, so I know there is no smeared lipstick because I didn't even put any on once I clocked out of work.

"Mom and I made your favorite." Jewels smiles over to me.

I get out of the chair and rub my hands together, before washing them to help get the food out.

"Cherry pie?" I smile.

"You're right!" Jewels laughs quietly.

Jewels and I get the plates put together from all the containers that are in the box. Placing the desserts over to the side for later. I turn when I hear Jack quietly talking, and he is waking up Nicolas. Part of me, hates he is being woke up because he needs his rest.

"What all have you been doing?" Jewels whispers with a smirk.

"I was studying for boards while Nicolas took a nap after we watched his new movie together."

"Do you need any help being quizzed?" She looks to me.

"No, I don't think so. I feel confident about the boards coming up. Massie and I have shared some lunches together and we both have done well during quizzing. Mainly it is just not locking up when the time comes." I sigh.

"You won't do that. You're to good at what you do to freeze." Jack adds in.

I turn and hand his plate to him and place Nicolas's on his tray and roll up for him.

"Thanks. It sadly happens though, doctors get in there after everything and know all the stuff but come test time just freeze."

"Well, I ate with Mom and Dad so I am going to head home and let you guys enjoy your dinner." Jewels smiles and pulls me in for a hug.

"Thank you for bringing us the food Jewels."

"Everyone needs good food on Thanksgiving and not what the hospital makes for Thanksgiving." She laughs.

Jewels leaves and I grab my plate before sitting on the couch with Jack.

"It seems funny seeing Jewels in normal clothes and not scrubs." Jack laughs.

"Trust me after wearing scrubs most of the time, it feels funny putting on normal clothes again."

Nicolas is quick to finish his plate before we do.

"Do you want more?" I ask him.

"No thank you. I am ready for some of the chocolate pudding." He smiles.

I laugh and stand up, putting my plate on the counter. Sure enough one of the bowls holds Moms chocolate pudding. It is to die for literally, she makes it up from scratch then adds in some fresh fruits along with some cool whip.

With a fresh bowl, I add some to it and hand it to him. Nicolas smiles and starts eating it, while making faces as he chews the fruit.

I finish my plate in a few bites and grab the container with cherry pie. They packed it to where the pie is in indiividual slices inside of disposable containers.

Jack helps hisself to a little pudding and pie, letting out a small moan when it hits his taste buds. I am glad he is enjoying the taste, but the moaning worked me up way to fast. Never has my body just responded to something like that. No matter what I have done, I always had to have some form of foreplay just to get a little wet in the diamond, so this is all new to me. It honestly makes me want to change my undies, how can women go around so hot and bothered like this is beyond me and honestly it has been so long since I done anything it is sad.

When everyone is done eating, I set out on disposing of the things we have used. Placing the bowls off to the side with the box of spoons, just to where the pudding and couple slices of pie can stay here with the guys.

"Are you sure your both full?" I turn to look at Jack laying on the bed with Nicolas.

"Yes. Over full." Jack laughs and Nicolas joins him.

I smile at them with how Nicolas will favor Jack at times. He has some of Jack's facial features but his eyes are a different color from Jack's brown ones, so I have thought about his mother having his eyes.

"I am going to head home and get some rest. Which is what both of you need to do as well because we have a very early morning." I pick up the box.

Jack jumps from the bed and I put the box down to give Nicolas a hug. Something we have started doing right before I leave for the evenings. After giving him a hug goodbye, I grab my book and put it in my bag only to pick the box up again.

"Thank you for staying with us today and for the food." Jack smiles.

"Of course, I enjoyed myself too."

"Be safe getting home." Jack's hand wraps around my arm on the side where Nicolas can't see.

"I will Jack." My voice comes out more breathy than I even thought possible.

Jack laughs and opens the door for me with my hands being full.

"Goodnight." I whisper and walk out the door.

The entire walk to my car all that fills my mind is Jack and Nicolas. I won't know what to do with myself once he is well enough to be released from the hospital. They will go back to living their life and I will be here helping more patients. Although, I know I will never get this close to another patient and their family like I have with Jack and Nicolas.

Well I know I won't because I have crossed the line kissing Jack twice now and I want more desperately, but it is something I know in my heart I'd never do with anyone else or feel this way for anyone else that I have started feeling for those two.
