Kenzie POV

I was out for a full day!

I hate being sick. I also kinda feel bad that I got Gilly sick.

Guess what I missed while I was all sicky!

We got 7 new pack members!

Daddy says I will get to meet them soon.

I kinda feel bad. We get new pack members and the Luna is MIA.

"Daddy can I stay with you today?" I ask as we are getting ready.

"Sure you can... Luna or Little?" He asks holding up two clothing options and I laugh.

"Little... with the option of being Luna." I say taking the little clothes. A cute dress and knee high socks.

"Okay, we are going to be talking with Maddox. He was the Alpha of the people we accepted. I want his help incorporating our new arrivals." He tells me and I nod pulling up my socks.

"Pigtails? Braided?" I ask and he smiles doing my hair.

"Alright let's go to the office!" Daddy cheers. I hold up my arms and he lifts me onto his hip.

"Have you talked to Logan?" He asks setting me on the couch and going to get my little toy basket of quiet toys for office play.

"Nope... why?" I ask and he sighs.

"I'm about 93% sure he is a submissive and doesn't want us to know... and I'm 100% positive his mate is one of our new members... the way he responded when he saw them... I'm just not sure which one. There were 4 women in the group. One was elderly and another already had a mate... I know he is fighting slipping... this is Eddy all over again." He sighs running a hand through his hair. "I don't know what to do. I know Eddy so well I was able to help him slip and I worked with Kelly to get him comfortable... I don't know who Logan's mate is and I don't think he is a little. I would have seen it... I could be wrong... I just don't know what to do."

I guess I get to be Luna first.

"Well if he isn't taking care of himself he will need someone to help him until he decides to trust us with the truth. Someone to make his job as Delta easier." I suggest and he smiles.

"You are brilliant baby bat!" He kisses my head and I go back to my toys.

I'm glad they took us in.

I was worried he wouldn't take us because I am an Alpha but I have no desire to take Alpha Brenton's position. I am only 21 I literally became Alpha during the battle that decimated my pack. My father was killed and bam I'm Alpha of the six surviving members. You can't have a pack that small so I knew I would have to give up my position. It's not a big loss. I didn't want it to start with.

Alpha Brenton interviewed each of my pack members separately. He agreed to all of them. I could tell he was concerned with me but the man next to him nodded and I was in. It was the end of the meeting when the brothers came in the younger being my mate.

I never thought I'd find my mate like this but I was so happy... especially when I noticed him checking me out. He might have even been drooling! So cute. He looked away I was about to claim him when he growled. He left for water and I made the crap excuse of needing the bathroom.

Then he tried to reject me.

It hurt. But he stopped when I told him to giving me hope. He wants to submit to me so I have a chance. Maybe he didn't know he was gay? Maybe he doesn't really want me as a mate... maybe he wants me as his master but not mate? I'll drive myself crazy trying to figure it out. I need to talk to him but I have a meeting with the Alpha today.

"Alpha Brenton." I greet him as I enter his office.

"I want to talk about positions within the pack for our new members. Please have a seat." He says.

I smile at the little sitting on the sofa. The Luna I'd guess and she waves. I nod to her before taking a seat.

"Miss Heather has been running the kitchen since I was a pup. She'd do well there... Sally and Alivia worked with the children... Joy was a warrior along with Adam... Killian is only 15 I know he looks like a grown wolf... he will be an amazing warrior but I'd like to see him with an adoptive family if anyone is willing... let him be a kid a few more years." I tell him and he nods.

"All that sounds good to me... we could use the help with the pups and I'm always up for a good meal. With the vampires threatening us every warrior is an advantage. I agree with the boy though. I don't want him growing up too fast. I know of a couple families that would love to take him in. He can meet with them and see who he clicks with." He says before glancing at the girl and back to me. "I have an idea of a job for you as well... you are a born leader and I'd be a fool to let that go to waste... would you be willing to be a kind of co-Delta with Logan? He hasn't been himself lately and I think he could use the help."

I have to try hard not to smile wide. My little pup won't be able to avoid me now.

"I'd love to Alpha. Anything I can do to help." I answer.

This should be fun.
