《Baby Batty》24

Brenton POV
We ended up carrying both Littles in as rhey slept. I called Kelly on our way home to let her know she had two little patients coming in. We went straight to the infirmary and I set my baby bat on the bed.
"What seems to be the problem?" Kelly asks walking over.
"Kenzie is sick. Stomach and head aches. Gilly drank from her and is now showing similar symptoms." I tell her and she nods before checking out my little girl who whines the entire time.
"You're home early." Eddy says as he comes in. He looks sad by that. Probably thinks I didn't trust him to handle things.
"The girls got sick. We had to leave." I answer and he nods. "How'd everything go?"
"Just the normal stuff... well and a couple warriors trying to get little me to let them break curfew and two kind getting in a fight but I handled it." He says and I pause.
"What was that?" I ask angry.
"Two kids got in a fight. I gave them kitchen duty. All handled." He says and I sigh.
"The other thing." I say.
"A couple warriors wanted me to give them permission to go drinking in town. Tried to get me to slip so I'd say yes. I told them no and that they needed to stay on pack lands. No problem." He explains.
"Names, Eddy. What were their names?" I ask.
"I took care of it, Brent." He whines and I know this won't get me anywhere. Though the idiot warriors weren't able to get him to slip his friend getting worked up will.
"Alright bub. You're right. You did a good job. I know this was stressful being the first time you were in charge by yourself since finding out you are a little. I'm proud of you, buddy. You are a great Beta. How about once Kelly is done with the girls you two take the rest of the day." I suggest and see a little something little in his eyes.

"Uh huh!" He nods and little Eddy is out.
"Okay, I want you to take this and go sit over there and eat it while I talk to your mommy." I say handing him what is left of the bag of cotton candy we got the girls at the zoo. I go back over to Kelly and the sleepy girls and she hands me a bag.
"I got you something to reduce the fever and something for nausea. Make sure she drinks a lot of water and rests." Kelly tells me and I look in the bag.
"Thanks Kelly, but the little bat doesn't use pacifiers." I say holding up the binky.
"Neither does Eddy but when he is sick... just trust me Brent and try it. She will sleep more soundly and be much more comfortable." She says and I put it back in the bag. It's worth a shot.
"Now for Gilly it's basically food poisoning. Once it is out of her system she will start feeling better. Try and get her to have some good blood. It will help." Kelly tells Landon who nods picking his girl up and I follow suit.
"Take the day Kelly. You guys deserve it... oh and enjoy the sugar rush." I smirk before running out with my baby bat tucked safely in my arms. There was more than half the bag left when I gave the cotton candy to Eddy because we didn't want the girls hyped up on sugar... I kinda wish I could watch Kelly try to handle him right now. I chuckle as I head to my room.
It takes hours before I can get Kenzie properly bathed, fed, and medicated. She whined through the whole process. I was able to get her to eat some chicken broth and crackers. Finally after dinner she falls into a deep sleep with her bank in her mouth. I set her on the bed surrounded by pillows. And leave the room. I walk down the hall and knock on another door.

"Who came to see Eddy today?" I ask Logan.
"A couple of kids and their parents... some women who had some questions, Connor came to talk about the vampires. Poor pup... and two warriors who left angry." He answers.
"What were the warriors names?" I ask.
"It was the Bauer brothers." He tells me.
"Thanks Lo... take care of yourself yea? You look like crap." I tell him and he growls.
"Just leave me alone, Bren." He says and I head to the barracks where most of the unmated warriors live.
"Bauer!" I yell and they both jump out.
"Yes Alpha." They respond.
"Come with me." I lead the brothers out and around the back of the building. "What is the hierarchy of a pack?"
"Well it's Alpha, Beta, Gamma, Delta, lead warrior." The elder answers looking confused why I'm asking.
"And who fills those roles in this pack?" I ask.
"You, Beta Eddy, Gamma Landon, Delta Logan, and George is lead warrior." The younger answers.
"Look I know where this is going." The older brother jumps in.
"And where is that Chuck?" I ask.
"We didn't do anything to your little Beta. If he is whining it's not our fault. We just asked to go into town and the little brat said no." He answers and it takes effort not to punch him.
"Eddy is your superior as you have already addressed. He was in charge of the pack. Attempting to manipulate him because he is a little shows disrespect to him, to the pack, and to me as it's Alpha. I will not tolerate it." I tell them.
"We are the only pack with a submissive in its leadership! With all due respect there is a reason for that. A little can not be a Beta." Chuck growls.
"He didn't listen to you today. I think that shows that being a little doesn't necessarily mean you can't make good decisions. Other packs don't see the value in having the creativity of a little mind in leadership and that is their failing. If you have a problem with Eddy be a man and challenge him next time he is at training." I see him pale knowing Eddy is an excellent fighter and will destroy him. "You know what? If you two want to go off drinking fine. The human town is unprotected. If vampires attack you are on your own. The rules are here for a reason but if you are above them I won't stop you from leaving. Good luck. But if you make it back alive I expect you to show proper respect to the members of this pack or you won't be one am I understood?"
"Yes Alpha." They both respond.
I smile as I see them return to the barracks instead of going to town.
Now back to my baby.

Heaven's Fall

Follow Diane's struggle to mainter her humanity in a dark and unforgiving world, and slowly unravel the mysteries of Heaven's Fall in a living, breathing world where even the slightest mistake can cause the mighty to fall. While I do like to include humor here and there, expect things to get really, really dark and brutal. Do not take the grimdark, gore, and traumatising content tags lightly, especially from Book 2 onwards. Character art by: Xian

Embers in the Ash
Four ordinary young people from four corners of the Earth wake up on a hill in another world. Here, their very presence is a crime against the Gods. On the fringes of civilization, life is often brief and always violent, but in the Empire's Heartland, implacable hunters seek to rectify their blasphemous existence with Blade and Fire. To return home, they will need to adapt to a place where their life will be earned in steel. But what will they be ready to sacrifice for their goal? Will their flame flicker out like so many others before them? Or will they thrive as Embers in the Ash? Hello, and welcome to my first fiction on this site! Embers in the Ash is an epic fantasy adventure story that aims to span quite a few chapters (I hope!). To set expectations, this isn't going to be a LitRPG or power fantasy-style story. I'm aiming for a fairly grounded story set in a fairly high-fantasy world. I hope you enjoy it! For this first month of publication, my aim is to give you, the reader, something to really bite into. I will be releasing a chapter every day at 9:15 AM EST (13:15 GMT), as well as the occasional double chapter (which will always be announced by a post-chapter author blurb). Check in fifteen minutes after the first chapter's release! After this first month of publication, the aim is to go for either a weekly or bi-weekly release schedule, depending on the sort of time I can reliably dedicate to writing. Either way, settle in for the long haul, and welcome to the story!

How to Create Adventure
What would you create to draw people to your realm? How about a place where things are exciting and you look forward to what new expereinces there could be. A place where danger exists, but in a way that more hinders than harms you. A place where you can stop and enjoy the view or experiences instead of endless dangers. This dungeon may be dangerous, but if you are prepared, you will love it regardless. Here is how you create an adventure. (It's my first time, I'm just writing for fun so don't expect daily updates)
