"So how about we go to the daycare today?" Katie suggests.
"Sure." I say getting up from the breakfast table.
"I actually wanted to talk with you this morning. Can she join you after lunch, Katie?" Daddy asks.
"Sure thing Alpha! Later Luna!" She responds before leaving the room.
"Come on, little one. Let's go talk." He says standing up and offering me his hand.
"Am I in trouble?" I ask and he chuckles.
"Should you be?"
"Well yesterday..." I start but he cuts me off.
"You were punished. You learned your lesson. It's in the past so don't worry... In the present I want to talk to my Luna." He smiles and we walk hand in hand to his office. "So my little Luna." He says pulling me onto his lap. "Do you want a ceremony to say we are mates or just mark each other?"
"Well... I don't really have anyone to invite to a ceremony... can we just do a dinner with miss Kelly and Eddy. Something small but so we can still celebrate being official mates?" I suggest hoping he didn't want a big thing.
"That sounds perfect. My family is gone too. Eddy is the closest thing I have to a brother so a family dinner sounds wonderful... when would you want to do it?" He asks and I smile.
"Tonight?" I bounce up and down and he moves me away from him a bit.
"Eager beaver." He says. "I think that could work... now for our next order of business." Daddy says turning me and placing me on his desk so I am facing him. "I need you to tell me everything you know about the vampires."
"I know they are hunting me. I know if you stay in one place too long you're dead. I know they killed most of my kind... that's about it." I tell him and he sighs.

"So you don't know how many are after you? You haven't ever seen them? You don't know how far behind you they usually are or who is in charge?" He pushes for more information.
"I'd never seen one until last night. Poppa always said once you see them it's too late. You got ta stay one step ahead." I tell him and he nods.
"I'm glad you've never encountered them before but I was hoping for some actionable information... it's okay baby well figure it all out." He says pulling me back into his lap. "Do you want to be little for a bit? You can color until lunch then go play with the kids with Katie like you planned."
"Can I just stay like this?" I ask nuzzling into his chest.
"Sure you can little bat. Take a nap if you want I'm just gonna do some research."

"Luna Luna come quick!" A little voice yells and I walk away from the snack table.
"What is it Connor?" I ask the blonde boy.
"We want to play hide and seek but no one wants to count!" He pouts.
"Well that is a problem!" I gasp. "What can we do about this?... oh I know" I grin at the children before closing my eyes. "One... two... three..."
After counting I'm on the hunt. It is much harder playing with werewolf children. The older ones are sneaky and can smell you coming. It's no fun to always catch the little ones so I challenge myself to get the sneaky ones. It makes the game more challenging.
"Luna Help!" I hear a girl scream and take off running.
"Cindy!" I yell when I see the child being held by the throat in front of a man I don't know.

"Hello bat." He says and I hiss at him.
"Let the girl go!" I yell.
"Come to us by your self or it won't just be you we kill. You have two days." He says.
Before I can blink Cindy's raven hair swooshes across her face as a sickening crack echoes through the woods.
"Two days Luna." He scoffs at me before throwing the girls limp body at me.
"No!" I yell crying over the girl. "No... it's my fault." I sob.
"Luna?" I hear and turn to see a little blond head.
"Gather everyone and send them home." I tell him.
I pick up Cindy and move quickly back towards the house.
"Send the pups home." I order Katie who pales seeing the girl in my arms.
I run her to the infirmary knowing she is already gone.
"Baby girl, are you okay?" I hear him but I can't stop looking at the dead child. "Kenzie, talk to me."
"It's my fault... he said more people would die if he didn't get me." I whisper. "He killed her because of me."
"No, that leech killed her because he is a bad person. That has nothing to do with you no matter what he said." Brenton says but I don't believe it. If I had left earlier this girl would still be alive.
"I'm going to bed." I say.
"It's 4 o'clock. You haven't even had dinner." He argues.
"Brenton please. I can't right now. I need to go." I say and he nods.
"I'm here for you baby. You aren't alone any more." He kisses my head and I walk out the door.
I'll leave tonight. No one else is going to die because of me.
A/N
I'm still not sure what to do with this story but I decided to follow the advice. "The best way to break a writers block is to write." Sorry if it sucked... if you liked it you're welcome! LOL.

Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons: Year One
Build a Dungeon. Slay Heroes. Survive Finals. Wounded Army vet Logan Murray thought mimics were the stuff of board games and dungeon manuals… right up until one ate him. In a flash of snapping teeth, Logan suddenly finds himself on the doorstep to another world. He’s been unwittingly recruited into the Shadowcroft Academy for Dungeons—the most prestigious interdimensional school dedicated to training the monstrous guardians who protect the Tree of Souls from so-called heroes. Heroes who would destroy the universe if it meant a shot at advancement. Unfortunately, as a bottom-tier cultivator with a laughably weak core, Logan’s dungeon options aren’t exactly stellar, and he finds himself reincarnated as a lowly fungaloid, a three-foot-tall mass of spongy mushroom with fewer skills than a typical sewer rat. If he’s going to survive the grueling challenges the academy has in store, he’ll need to ace the odd assortment of classes—Fiendish Fabrication, Dungeon Feng Shui, the Ethics of Murder 101—and learn how to turn his unusual guardian form into an asset instead of a liability. And that’s only if the gargoyle professor doesn’t demote him to a doomed wandering monster first…

The Crows and the Plague
As the Black Death ravages Medieval Europe, the ominous Plague Doctors (commonly called "Crows") may be the only thing standing between Christendom and extinction. There is no cure for the Plague, so all the Crows can do is stop the spread of the disease, even as the monstrous Vermin seek to spread it on purpose. But not everyone understands just how necessary the Crows and their often brutal methods really are. .............................................................................. This story is an alternate history/low fantasy story taking place in Medieval Europe. Rather than elves, goblins, and orcs, the fantasy elements in this story are generally things people in the Medieval era would have actually believed in, some exaggerated just a bit more for flavor.#thecrowsandtheplague
