Kenzie POV

"Kelly watch her for me." Daddy says jumping up.

"Where you goin'?" I ask.

"Just some Alpha stuff. I'll be back soon. Be good for miss Kelly." He says kissing my head before running out.

His rapid departure pulls me straight out of the happy little bubble I was in. Same goes for Eddy who jumps up to follow his Alpha in full Beta mode.

"What happened?" I ask Kelly.

"Don't worry little one your daddy will be back soon... how about we play a game?" She responds.

"How about hide and seek?" I suggest.

"Okay, I'll count. Go hide." She says and I smile big before running upstairs.

I am so not little right now.

I open it up strip and jump out shifting as I fall.

I follow my mate to the boarder of the territory and sit myself in a nearby tree.

"Alpha, good to see you!" A man calls to Brenton and he growls.

"What's your business here leech?" He responds making my blood run cold. I'm not close enough to tell what they are myself. I was hoping they were rogue wolves.

"We hear our prey has crossed into your territory. We simply want hunting rights." The blood sucker says.

"Denied. Be on your way." My mate responds making me smile.

"The request was mere courtesy. We will continue our hunt, Alpha... don't get in our way." It says.

"Enter my territory and your head will be removed from your shoulders. You aren't welcome here." Brenton growls and the thing hisses.

"We will be back pup. We will have our prize." It says before he and his buddies zip away in the blink of an eye.

I watch as my mate turns to make his way back to the house. I jump off my perch and begin to fly back when a voice stops me.

"Little girl!" He growls. I swoop around so I can see him and he looks ticked. "Down here, NOW!" I debate flying home but what's the point? I'm caught. I fly down to him, landing in his hand. "Shift." He orders and I chirp at him. Not in front of people! "I don't want to hear it! Men turn... shift." He orders again. Since none of the men are looking I comply.

"Hi, Daddy." I say as he puts his shirt over my body. For once I'm glad of my poor eye sight in this form because I can't see his angry face.

"I believe I left you at home, did I not?" He asks.

"Well, yes... but I'm not in little space. I'm Luna. Don't I have a right to know what is going on?" I respond.

"At the risk of your life? No. I would have told you but you decided to be a sneaky bat. I'm pretty sure I told you to be good for miss Kelly. Do you think running away, causing her to worry, and putting yourself in danger is being good?" He asks and I roll my eyes.

"No, but I'm. Not. Little. I don't have to listen when I'm big." I say and he smirks.

"Are you sure about that little bat?" He whispers making my heart jump.

"Y... yes?" I answer.

"I am always your mate. Always your daddy. Always your Alpha. I don't expect complete obedience from you when you are big, I want your input as Luna, but when I tell you to stay put you stay put." He growls the last bit.

"Technically you didn't tell me..."

"That's it! You don't understand what I mean I will show you!" He growls before picking me up and taking me back to the house. The living room is clear as he carries me in and sits on the couch with me over his knees. I knew what was going to happen but I wasn't prepared. I've never been spanked before. After 10 I was sobbing. I don't like it at all!

"Now are you ready to listen or do you want to keep smatring off?" He asks pulling me to sit on his lap. I wipe my tears and nod.

"I'll listen." I say even though I didn't think I was smarting off.

"As my big Luna I want your opinion. I want your help running the pack and your input on the business side. I'm all for having a discussion with you but you know no matter your headspace I don't accept back talk." I nod knowing I got a time out for that once or twice. "There is a difference between that and disobeying a direct order. Every member of this pack is expected to obey their Alpha. I don't tell people what to do for the fun of it but to do what is best for them. How can I lead when my own Luna doesn't respect my authority?"

I lower my head feeling pretty low now. I didn't think of it like that.

"Sorry daddy." I say and he pulls me into a hug.

"I care about you little bat. That's why I tell you to do things even when you are big. With that I will punish you even when you are big as well. Do you understand?" He asks and I nod.

"Yea... I love you too daddy." I say nuzzling into his chest.

"I was so worried when I caught your scent... I hope the vamps didn't catch it too. If they know for a fact you are here they will attack sooner." He mumbles holding me close. I didn't even think of that! I hope they didn't smell me.
