*Ashlin's pov*
I found myself in a room, everything was pure white and nothing else. I stood there looking around confused, not sure on where I am. My heart sunk as I thought of one thing.
"DON'T TELL ME I DIED!!!!!!" I yelled freaking out now.
"Calm down, you didn't die." I heard a very familiar voice. I turn around to see a man facing away from me. He had a white suit but brown hair. He was very tall and the same height as my brother. I looked down at myself and noticed me wearing a white dress that went down pass my knees.
"Who are you and where I'm I." I said a little scared.
"Just relax, I just wanted to talk to you." He soon turned around making me freeze in shock. His blue eyes stared at me with kindness and the same goofy grin just like I remembered.
"K-Kyle is that r-really you?" I stuttered taking a step forward full of hope.
"The one and only, come here and give your brother a hug will ya." He said opening his arms. I ran to him jumping into his arms, clutching onto his suit jacket, tears in my eyes. He hugged me tightly as he set his chin on my head. I look up at him with tears falling down my cheeks from happiness.
"But how is this possible, you.........died." I said with a small frown on my face. His goofy grin soon vanished and turned to a serious gaze.
"Yes, I did die, I'm here because of the Rukh, I'm part of it now also I'm here to tell you about that necklace, it's about time you know what I meant when I gave it to you." he said as a couch appeared out of no where. He walked us over to it and sat down. He looked straight at me.
"That necklace is connect to our family from generations before we were born, it has the ability to give you great power, but there is a secret in the family." he said as I looked him start in the eyes wanting him to get to the point.
"Our family is the descendents of the first Magi also from a royal family, father is the prince of a kingdom that vanished when you were born, he keeped that necklace which was passed down to him from grandfather soon passing down to me, but I wasn't able to use it because I don't poses the ability to use such a great power." he said looking down at his feet. I was shocked to hear all of this, I never thought I would be a princess of a kingdom that vanished into thin air.
"That's why you gave it to me, because you knew I had the ability to use it." I said taking his hand into mine telling him to go on. He nodded as he looked back to me.
"Yes, that is true, the man that killed me wore a black outfit with a black mask covering his face. He had blood red eyes, thirty for blood, I'm guessing he's looking for that necklace to use to create war in the world." I froze when he described the man. Flash backs of the dreams soon flooded my mind making me fear the worst is coming, and soon. He saw me freeze as he looked at me, concern in his eyes. I shook my head getting rid of the thought and quickly smiled.
"I'm fine, please continue." I said as he just nods.

"You have the ability to protect that necklace, I want you to go back to our homeland and find out what happened, I'm guessing something is there that we can use to destroy that necklace, but there will be great evil so be careful." he placed his hand on my shoulder, I nod in response.
"That necklace will give you strength and power to defeat evil." he said making sure I understand. I could see something wrong as his hand started to turn invisible.
"I'm sorry, but my time is up, I promise I will always be watching over you." he said as he slowly started to disappear. I nodded tears fell down my cheeks again as I hugged him. He hugged back and kissed my forehead before everything went black.
I opened my eyes up quickly and quickly sat up, but soon regretted it when my head started to throb.
"Ow, my head feels like a ton of bricks fell on me." I said as I closed my eyes and placed a hand on my head. I opened my eyes again to see I was in the infirmary, I saw Jack standing at the door shock written all over his face. I look to my right to see Isabelle and Aladdin with the same expression.
"Hey Isabelle, I brought the.....................ASHLIN!!!!!!" Quinn yelled before running up and hugging me. She started to cry as Isabelle slowly came up to me and hugged me too. I hugged them back with a huge grin on my face.
"Hey, I heard what happened is she alright." I heard a small voice at the nurses desk. The nurse heard the commotion and came into the room. She dropped her clip board onto the ground as she looked at me.
"Your awake, but how, you had a spell casted on you." the nurse said making the girls get off so she could check over me.
"I'm going to tell the others." I heard Mabel say as she stood by the door and quickly turned around to go find everyone and tell them the news. Once the nurse was done Aladdin jumped on me with his face in my chest crying. I didn't mind this time because he wasn't doing it in a pervy way. I hugged him for a little bit before he released me.
"I thought you would never wake up." he said his blue eyes shining with happiness tears going down his cheek. I giggled before putting him on the ground and standing up off the bed.
"Like some stupid spell is going to keep me away from my friends." I said walking over to a shocked Jack. The two girls gave me space but were concerned that I should stay in bed. Jack looked at me as I just smiled at him.
"I'm not mad, like I said before I forgive you." I said giving him an adorable smile. His face turned red before smiling.
"Thank you, you still promised you would help me free my family." he said trying to lift the mood. I giggled and nodded making him smile brightly. I walked out of the room to see Judar the jackass sitting on the bed past out. An evil smirk came on to my lips as I walked over to him. He had drool hanging onto the side mouth which made him look like an innocent child. I poked him in the cheek making him swat my hand away.
"Go away you stupid nurse." he said not even opening his eyes. I walked over to the desk and grabbed the chair and walked back to Judar setting the chair gentlely on the ground next to the bed. I crossed my legs and placed my elbow on my knee and my head in my hand.

"Are you looking for another beating." I said poking him again in the face. He sat up sleepishly as he turned his head to me is eyes still closed.
"Your just a stupid nurse like you can hurt a Magi like me." he said rubbing his eyes. I could hear the others laughing quietly to themselves as they watched everything from the door way. He opened is eyes and looked at me. He blinked a couple of times before his eyes grew wide and he fell onto the floor from shock. I burst into a fit of laughter as everyone else did as well.
"How the hell are you here, the nurse said you wouldn't wake up because of some retarded spell." he said as he flinched from the pain in his side that I kicked and broke his ribs. I quite laughing and walked to the other side of the bed where he layed on the floor in pain. I knelt down and held my hand over his side as my hand started to glow a light blue color. He watches me as it slowly disappeared, making him quickly stand up.
"Wait, what did you do to me." he said a little anger as everyone watched in confusion on what I did.
"I used a spell to heal your ribs, now you can leave and not have to stay in here anymore." I said standing back up and walking past him. I went to the door to exit the infirmary, but looked back at my friends and Judar.
"Don't worry, I'm fine, I'm going to go find the others before Mabel to surprise everyone." I said before sprinting out the door before anyone could follow me. I knew the first place to check for someone. I walked to the garden and stayed hiden in the bushes just in case. I went to the spot with the pond and sure enough there sat Alibaba with Hakuryuu by the pond. Even though I saw some blood on the grass from me, they didn't care. I smiled and waited in the bushes for awhile.
"You tried your best Hakuryuu, she's just sleeping." Alibaba said but I could hear the pain in his voice.
"Yea, asleep forever more likely." Hakuryuu said with anger in is voice. I felt bad because he's taking it all out on him when it wasn't his fault. I took this as an opportunity to sneak up behind them just far enough away so my reflection wouldn't be seen. I stood there in silence for a little while looking at the two as the sulked over me.
"Wow, I never thought you guys could be so soft and mushy about me." I said in a cheerful voice making the stiffen.
"Dude, I just heard Ashlin's voice." Hakuryuu said hugging his knees.
"I did too." Alibaba said doing the same. I face palmed myself as I watched them.
"You two are complete morons, look behind you." I said crossing my arms in dissapointment. They both quickly turned around, their eyes grew wide as I smiled happily at them.
"Did you miss me." I said walking up to the two as the quickly stood up shocked. I stopped right in front of them with a goofy grin. Alibaba started to have tears in is eyes as he quickly grabbed me and pulled me into a deep hug. It surprised me, making me blush a deep shade of red. He released me, looking at me with an angry look. He gripped my shoulders tight, spreading pain threw them.
"What the hell were you thinking, you could of gotten killed, and we would never see you again, I would never see you again, I thought I lost you forever." he yelled with tears running down his face. His sudden outburst scared the crap out of me making look at the ground in shame of making him worry so much.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you worry so much, I just wanted to help Jack." I said as tears started to form in my eyes. His grip on my shoulders losen and I was soon pulled into another hug. I just stood there unsure of what to do. I looked at Hakuryuu as he smiled happily at me. I felt Alibaba quickly release me and looked me head to toe.
"Where are your wounds?" he asked a little dumbfounded. I pointed at the necklace and smiled.
"I found out how to use the necklaces power that was in it, I have the ability to heal wounds quickly alone with some other things." I said quickly stepping away from him.
"I'm glad your ok Ashlin, I thought you were going to stay asleep forever and I would feel guilty for not being able to help you." Hakuryuu said putting a arm around my shoulder.
"Thank you for trying though, but there was a reason I had that spell on me." I said thinking back to the conversation I had with my brother in my consciousness. They both looked at me weird.
"I'll explain later, let's go find Sinbad so he nows as well." I said as they both nodded. I slipped Hakuryuu's arm off and started to walk with them walking besides me. We went back to the room where I last talked to Sinbad.
"Wait, Ashlin woke up." I heard Sinbad and Jafar say at the same time on the other side of the door.
"Yes, she's the infirmary right now." I heard Mabel say as quick foot steps came to the door. I quickly backed away as Sinbad quickly opened the door but soon stopped seeing me standing in front of him. Mabel peered around him and squeezed through him and the door and quickly hug me. I laughed as she giggled.
"See, I told you see woke up." she said releasing me and glaring at Jafar.
"Ashlin, it's good to see your fine, and your wounds are gone." Sinbad said patting my head. I smiled at him happily.
"I must speak to you, along with the others." I said entering the room.
"Mabel, can you go get the others, include that jackass, Judar." I said sighing at the last part. She nodded before running off to get the others. I sat down in one of the chairs as the two boys sat down on each side of me. About 15 minutes later everyone else came into the room and sat down.
"Now that everyone is here, what do you want to tell us." Sinbad said sitting behind his desk.
"Why the hell I'm I here, I don't give a shit about you." Judar said crossing his arms glaring at me. I just rolled my eyes and walked up to him grabbing his shirt His face was inches from mine as I stared at him, making him gulp in fear.
"Unless you want to die, then go ahead be my guest." I said releasing him making him fall to the floor. He crossed his legs and pouted like a three year old. I walked back to my seat and sat down.
"As of before when we talked about me being targeted it's true, I'm being hunted for the necklace by the same man who killed my brother, also more likely the man that sent you to do is dirty work." I said looking at Jack. He looked at the ground, more likely remembering his boss.
"When I was asleep, I had a conversation with my brother, don't asked me how, I have no clue myself." I said confusing everyone. I just shrugged and continued.
"He told me why I have the ability to poses the necklace, this is really going to shock everyone, it even shocked me, Sinbad do you know of a kingdom that disappeared about 19 years ago?" I asked him.
"Yes, if I remember right it was called Wolfpine, it was a really small kingdom, but was very peaceful, that is were the first Magi was." he said leaning his elbows on the desk. I sighed ready to tell.
"My name is Ashlin, princess of Wolfpine and the descendant of the first Magi." I said putting everyone on shock.
"My father is the prince, but after I was born the kingdom vanished into thin air, that's why I decided to go to my homeland to search for clues." I said snapping everyone out of shock.
"But what are you searching for?" Isabelle asked really confused by all of this, she knew me like forever so this was really strange.
"I'm going to search for anything I could use to destroy this necklace so no harm will come to anyone, that dream I had wasn't any normal dream, it was showing the future, there is no way I'm letting that happen." I said standing up clutching the necklace in my hand by my chest.
"I'm asking you to come help me, your my friends so I don't want to do it alone." I asked smiling, everyone smiled back and nodded except for Judar.
"Like the hell I'm going." Judar said glaring at me again. I just sighed in shook my head.
"And this is the thanks I get for healing you, I guess the hard way it is." I said turning my bracelet into my sword holding the tip of the blade at his face. A shadow covered my eyes as I glared at him evilly, making everyone shiver in fear including Jafar and Masrur as they stood by the door.
"Alright, I'll help just put the damn sword away." Judar said freaking out a little. I just smiled sweetly before putting it away.
"Good we leave tomorrow morning." I said making everyone sweat drop.
"I'll get you a map so you will be able to explore the country." Sinbad said getting up from his desk. We all quickly left the room to pack our things for the adventure ahead off us.

Wildling
Blurb: Silas--a scavenger living off the ruins of humanity--has spent his entire life fighting tooth and nail to provide for himself and his crew. But when a scavenging run goes awry and he's snatched up by an android patrol, he finds himself thrown into a cage and priced to sell as a pet. And when a suitor comes calling, he fears the worst: that he'll be turned into a Domestic, a human lapdog brainwashed into total obedience. Instead, he discovers an equally disturbing truth: that the creatures who stole his world have created a videogame the likes of which Earth has never seen; a sprawling, game-like theme park where humans are the Avatars and androids are the players who control them. And to make matters worse, his android guide is as hopeless as they come, having gotten all of her previous Avatars killed in record time. So if Silas wants to regain his freedom, he'll not only have to fight his way through a world that was specifically designed to murder him in brutal fashion--he'll also have to convince his android guide that he should be the one calling the shots. FAQS: Q: Who are you, handsome stranger? A: I'm Kyle Kirrin, the author of Shadeslinger, book 1 of The Ripple System, published by Portal Books, and I write crunchy LitRPG. Q: What is Wildling? And is it complete? A: Wildling is a crunchy LitRPG mash up of Fantasy and Science Fiction. And yup, Wildling is already complete at 64 chapters, or about 120,000 thousand words. You're looking at something like a third draft here--it's fairly polished, but it hasn't been picked over by a copy editor yet nor has my developmental editor seen it. Q: Upload schedule? A: 5 initial chapters today (2/15/2021) and one chapter a day for the next month. After that I'll probably slow down to 2 or 3 chapters a week until the story is complete. Q: How crunchy is it? A: It's pretty crunchy. I'd put it on the same tier as Ascend/The Land/RSSG, but it might be a bit crunchier than those three? Q: Is this the first book in a series or a web novel or what? And what are your plans for it? A: It's currently a standalone with series potential. Full disclosure: this story may head the way of my publisher eventually, but will be available on RR for quite a while no matter what. Likely several months after it's complete with plenty of warning before/if it's taken down. Q: What kind of build does the MC create? A: Sword and board! Q: Crafting? A: Plenty! Crafting isn't as center stage as it is in The Way of the Shaman, but it's close. Q: Base building? A: Two fully separate, distinct bases, both of which play a major role in the story. Q: VRMMO? Portal? Reincarnation or what? A: This one's a bit tricky. Basically an advanced race has created a game-like world that closely resembles a theme park. Think Westworld but with copious amounts of loot. And the MC has to fight his way through that to earn his freedom. Q: Permadeath? A: Nope! The MC gets 3 lives to play through the entirety of the game world, and death is extremely punishing, but not fatal. Q: Harem? Or romance? A: No and no. Q: Cursing? Blood? A: Quite a bit of cursing, yeah. There's blood, too, but it's not a gory book by any means. Q: How can I support? A: Instead of a Patreon/donations etc, I'd ask that you consider giving my debut LitRPG Shadeslinger a chance. It's free on Kindle Unlimited and the audio is already out narrated by Travis Baldree. It's an epic fantasy VRMMO where the main character gets 3 days of exclusive access to a new game plus a snarky, talking axe to guide him through it in exchange for agreeing to become the target of a serverwide manhunt once the Head Start period ends. Q: How's it similar to Wildling? And how's it different? A. The crunch level is very similar, but Shadeslinger is a much lighter, epic fantasy take on the genre. It's also VRMMO, but without any real world components aside from the first chapter. The MC is very different--he comes off as a bit of a jerk early on and can take a bit to warm up to, especially before his backstory is revealed--but he's also got a talking axe that constantly puts him in his place. Shadeslinger's a much more humorous story in general, and it's a great deal more polished as well. Thanks for reading! I hope you enjoy Wildling!
