The audience cheers. Annalise continues to stare down at Sinbad and the boy who's name was Masrur. Sinbad was in shock that Masrur was so strong for his size.
'What the hell? This Masrur brat is... no focus on the match. The problem is that gigantic sword. What amazing physical strength! I think even most adults would find it hard to wield a sword like that... well other than...' Sinbad's thoughts say.
"SIN!" Annalise screams loudly from her seat, "HE'S A FANALIS!"
"Of course..." Sinbad says.
'Which puts me at an advantage. I've been sparing with Annalise since we began our journey. I just need to find his weakness.' Sinbad's thoughts say. He dodges Masrur's attacks with ease.
"You're pretty amazing, aren't you, kid?" Sinbad asks as he dodges the attacks still, "You're this strong as a child. I look forward to seeing what you can do when you grow up.... But.." Sinbad says and he dodges the blow meant to finish him off.
"No matter how strong you are or how huge your sword is your skills are still that of a child! I'm more experienced than you are! If we're only competing in swordsmanship, there are guys better than you. You lose this one. Don't worry. You're just a kid, so I'll use the back of my sword!" Sinbad says and swings his sword. His eyes widen when his eyes meet with Masrur's. Masrur drops the giant sword shocking Sinbad. Moments later, Masrur lands a blow to Sinbad's gut.
"SIN!" Annalise screams in shock as Sinbad goes down. Her voice echoes the crowd as it gets quiet. Someone goes over and checks Sinbad.
"Sinbad has lost consciousness... which means the winner is Mariadel Company's Gladiator, Masrur." Kil yells.
"N-No..." Annalise says in shock.

"Annalise, we have to go." Jafar says.
"W-What?" Annalise says and Jafar drags her away. Annalise screams as she's grabbed by some guards. She tries to use her household vessel but it doesn't work. She screams when she's thrown down by Sinbad who was brought in chains.
"Sin!" Annalise says.
"Annalise... I'm... sorry..." Sinbad says and Annalise's eyes fill with tears.
"It'll be nice having another Fanalis to fight." Maader says.
"I refuse to fight! I refuse to obey a con artist like you!" Annalise says.
"You don't have a choice." Maader says and some guards grab her. She struggles against them.
"Release her!" Jafar says.
"No, it was in the bargain that I would claim Sinbad and Annalise as my prize." Maader says.
"It's... true..." Sinbad says as Annalise struggles. Sinbad looks at Jafar with look and Jafar's eyes widen as if he understood.
They are taken away and Annalise is put in chains like are on Masrur before she's thrown down beside Sinbad.
"Annalise..." Sinbad says and falls to his knees beside her. The two are left in the cage for hours. Sinbad struggles to keep Annalise warm as the two were freezing. She'd refused to speak to him at all the entire time but accepted his attempts to hold her to keep warm. They ended up passing out from the cold moments before Maader comes and gets them out of it. Maader gets them warmed up a little bit. Annalise stares down with zoned out eyes. Sinbad slips up as he was worried about Annalise and they are thrown back into the room as Maader knew that if Sinbad wasn't ready then neither was Annalise.
Meanwhile, Jafar returns to Napolia to explain what happened. Rurumu arrives with Pipirika and all of Hinahoho and Rurumu's children.

"I understand. In order to take care of the debts incurred by Vittel, Lord Sinbad and Annalise ended up becoming a slave... what a difficult situation." Rurumu says.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" Vittel says.
"Don't hand your head, Vittel. We can't change what has already happened. The responsibility for what happened also falls on me. After all, I left you here to look after things alone. Let's devote all our energy to figuring out a way to rescue Lord Sinbad and Lady Annalise. We must work together." Rurumu says, "Jafar, you were the last one to see them. What did he say?"
"He didn't say anything but at the time, I thought... with the look in his eyes, Sin has not given up. If he can still focus on his goals, then we must move forward, too." Jafar says, "However, we're only an average company. Our debts and this incident are a result of contractual agreements made with the Mariadel Company. We have no real means of disputing anything. Even if we appeal to our allies or other outside help, it's still a dispute between merchants. Merchants must settle disputes among themselves. However, as we are now, we have no way of doing that. There is nothing we can do." Jafar thinks on what to do. Everyone else does as well.
"Jafar, I understand where you're coming from. You think that we have to clear this up with only the help of those within the company... but are you not mistaken? Sindria Trading company is a new organization. We have little experience, little knowledge, and few supporters. Since that's the case, it's only natural for us to rely on outside help. For example, the king of Balbadd, King Rashid. Thanks to his guidance, we were able to establish this company. In a way, he's our benefactor." Rurumu says as Jafar listens.
"Huh?" Jafar asks.
"Um, well, I heard that with his head for business, in a single generation, King Rashid turned Balbadd into a prosperous country of maritime trade. If he learns of the danger his friends Sinbad and Annalise are in, surely he'll help us figure out a way to fight this as merchants." Rurumu says.
"Then let's hurry to Balbadd!" Jafar says.
"Wait." Rurumu says.
"W-What?" Jafar asks.
"How many times have I told you? Don't be so rash. Why do you think I suggested that you ask King Rashid? That's because it is 'now'. There's a major assembly held for world leaders at this time of year. And the assembly is held here in the center of the world, Reim Empire's Capital, Remano. There's no need to go all the way to Balbadd... get it? Here's a letter of introduction. Make sure you're polite. Annalise would have you head if you didn't." Rurumu says and passes it to him. Jafar looks at the letter and he gets tears in his eyes at the thought of Annalise scolding him. He'd love that right now.
"I'll be back!" Jafar says and he leaves as fast as he can.
"Right then." Rurumu says as she passesthe twins to Pipirika, "As senior staff member, I, Rurumu will take on theposition as the temporary head of the company! Everyone, please return to yournormal duties. Things will be busy from now on!"

It’s been over twelve thousand years since the Book of War was last opened. It was believed to be destroyed during the Great War by the Twelve Warriors and Daughter of the Sun at the cost of their lives. Now, it seems the book has resurfaced, and its new master is seeking to forever tip the balance of power. The stage is being set for another Great War but who can stop the Book of War once and for all? Meanwhile on Earth, the teen members of Greengale’s Action and Adventure Club are preparing for their yearly trip when they suddenly stumble upon a secret their parents have been keeping for years. Now their world is being turned upside down as they struggle to understand the legacy that ties their fate to Mendala and the Book of War. Is their destiny set in stone, or will they forge a different path? No matter what, their choices will bring forth a new era for Mendala. ------------------------------ If you love vast fantasy worlds, rich, fleshed-out characters, and a adventure where your'e constantly discovering new things along the way, then this is definitely a story you'll enjoy. This is a slow-burn high fantasy / adventure with many characters and intersecting plotlines. It’s a quest so lots of adventuring, exploring, and character moments, but not a ton of fighting/action (though there are definitely some great fight scenes as payoff to the buildup). Because it’s a fantasy world with lots of people and new concepts, I try to make it easy so that you don’t have to memorize anything. The narrative will constantly remind you of important people/places/concepts as you keep moving forward. Some things won’t be fully explained right at the beginning to avoid information overload. My goal is that the reader will learn things organically as the story progresses. I use two mechanisms to help with the intersecting plotlines. - Each chapter is named for the (main) plotline it’s following and which part. - At the beginning of the chapter, and anytime there is a scene shift, the location is listed. Also, though this is definitely a portal-fantasy (isekai) it’s different from the standard isekai, especially since the world transfer doesn’t happen immediately. It’s not Lit-RPG but characters gain powers and grow over time. Also, it’s a group of teens that transfer, not just one central character. All of the teens are distinct characters, with their own character-arcs, relationships, powers, growth etc. Hopefully you’ll find this interesting as you’ll see the world and story from multiple perspectives. The story is always in 3rd Person (Omniscient) POV so that it’s not jarring as perspectives shift.
