"Holy shit, you're bad at this."
"Shut up and help me."
You snickered as Yuki threw away a burnt portion of...something.
Um, you weren't exactly sure what it was now.
"I am, you're just stubborn."
"My bad." Yuki gave you the stink eye.
Your phone lit up from beside the counter, prompting you to look at it.
Asmo sent you a message.
Washing your hands and drying it with a towel, you turned on your phone.
- - -
Asmodeus: Hon.
(M/n): Need anythinf?
Asmodeus: ...Nothing actually. I just missed you.
(M/n): I'm at Yuki's house. Aunt wanted to see me.
(M/n): Just reminding you in case.
Asmodeus: Solomon's here in my place, I wanted to remind you too.
Asmodeus: Oooo
Asmodeus: Wait is Mammon ther
(M/n): Nah.
(M/n): wait you're right.
(M/n): I'm surprised he ain't here.
Asmodeus: ah, well. I'll leave you to it!
Asmodeus: Have fun, darling!
(M/n): I'm surprised you didn't offer to head over.
Asmodeus: You don't want me clinging to you 24/7, right? Although that's unfortunate...
(M/n): ...
- - -
...
As Yuki cleaned the pan, they couldn't help but glance at you from the corner of their eye.
You were smiling so delicately at your phone.
Their grip on the handle tightened.
- - -
(M/n): That's nice of you.
Asmodeus: I love youuu!
(M/n): Alright.
Asmodeus: :(
(M/n): Turn that frown upside down.
Asmodeus: ):
(M/n): Ya lil shit
(M/n): fuk u
Asmodeus: I'll head over if you're down ;)
(M/n): Goodbye.
(M/n): Tell Solomon he's my favorite guy. Love him sm
- - -
The last thing you saw before turning your phone off was Asmodeus' face as he sent you a quick selfie of himself. Solomon was watching the television in the background, looking quite hooked.
Then a series of notifications came afterwards, having processed your last message.
You hear something crash, making you perk up in alarm.
Yuki was grimacing. The pan had slipped their hold, knocking two glass cups before landing on the ground itself.
"I'll go get the broom." You exited the room and rushed to get what was needed. When you got back, you saw Yuki trying to pick up the bigger shards of the broken glass, soon wincing and dropping it abruptly. You sighed.
"You stubborn idiot."
Hearing your degrading voice, Yuki laughs sheepishly. "Sorry...?"
"Did scrubbing the pan really frustrate you that much?" You got to sweeping the shards into the dust pan, ushering Yuki to back away. Taking the fallen pan, they sighed. "I dunno. I don't think it was that."
You paused.
"...Then what was?"
"...Never mind that. Give that dustpan to me and I'll throw it away–"
"Yuki, what's going on?" You asked, carefully lifting the dustpan and taking a random thick paper bag nearby. You dumped the glass.
"Everything's fine, (M/n). I don't know what you're talking about." Yuki laughs once more. Your eyes narrowed slightly, hearing a slight change in tone. "If anything, I should be asking you that."
"Why?"
"When I introduced Mammon to you, you started being really aggressive and stuff." Yuki placed the pan on the basin of water by the sink. "And when I ask you about it, you just dismiss it."
"Then I guess we're both acting weird."
Yuki chuckled pitifully. "You know... If you despise Mammon that much, I..."
"...You'll what? Drop Mammon for me?" You teased, placing the paper bag into another just in case. Yuki didn't respond as you put the paper bag in the trash. "...Honestly, I don't really mind Mammon. I can't make a solid judgment yet."

"Hm." Yuki merely hums blankly.
A few seconds passed in silence, with Yuki mulling over your words as you thought of what to say next. Then you pressed your lips together and spoke slowly.
"Yuki, do you actually..." You awkwardly started. "...still like Asmo?"
"What?" Yuki blinked twice, looking at you as if you had just grown two heads. They grimaced. "Excuse me? No. I've told you that before, right?"
"Yeah, but I... I don't know. Maybe you're acting weird because you don't like me being with Asmo."
"...I don't."
"...What?" You shot Yuki a surprised look. They flinched, having been startled by their words as well as you.
"A-ah! I didn't... I didn't say that, haha!" They scratched the back of their head and laughing awkwardly. "I was just...kidding, ya know? Why would I be against your relationship with Asmo, especially if it's a bit..." fake.
"A bit what?"
"Nothing, nothing. Let's just focus on dinner." Yuki diverted the topic. "I just burned the batch down, pretty much. Should we make another batch?"
"..." You were reluctant to change the topic, but relented, not wanting to make Yuki uncomfortable.
"It's fine. We can eat the ones I made separately." You paused. "Let's work on the desserts instead. What do you have?"
"Let's make strawberry mochi then. I was supposed to make them yesterday, but I waited for you instead."
"Hah, did you only invite me here as a mentor?"
"Can't it be multiple things? I'd burn this place to the ground if left unsupervised." Yuki waved off. You chuckled.
As Yuki bought out the recipe, you took out your phone and searched for the recipe and procedures for good measure.
A tense and awkward silence surrounded you two as you worked on different things separately. Your eyes flickered to Yuki's form from time to time. Eventually, Yuki broke the silence and inquired.
"...What did you and Asmo talk about?"
"...Oh, um, just the usual."
"And?" Yuki hinted.
"...How he's surprised you didn't invite Mammon over. I kind of am, too."
"You're supposed to be here to see my mom again. Why would I invite Mammon over?" Yuki laughed at the question. You shrugged.
"Who knows? Maybe you'd like Mammon to meet your mother. You know, since he's the first person to court you?"
"..."
'Oh.'
'Shit.'
"...Ah, did that sound too harsh? I–"
"No no! I'm just surprised, is all." Yuki chuckled, eyes trailing to the ground. "... I don't even know what Mammon sees in me to actually court me."
"You have plenty of qualities, Yuki."
"Like?"
"Don't fish for compliments in me. I'm bad at them."

Simeon: Hello.
(M/n): Yoooo!
(M/n): Nee anytg
Simeon: ?
Simeon: um
(M/n): Need anything*?
Simeon: Oh!
Simeon: well
Simeon: Actually, no. I just happened to think of you.
(M/n): Aww you're making me blush here.
Simeon: .
Simeon: I have to go.
Simeon: See you, (M/n)! It was nice talking to you.
(M/n): Aight, bye Simeon!
- - -
'That was barely a talk...!'

Nothing much else happened that evening. After relentlessly hiding a small cut Yuki acquired when they picked up the glass shards, you insisted on patching it up for them with a bandaid after scanning for small shards.
You caught up with Yuki's mother, who constantly teased you and Yuki together.

It was embarrassing, really.
She was too sure Yuki was just too cowardly to ask you out.
It wasn't until you broke the news that she had to stop and look at you in disbelief.
"You have...a lover already?"
"Yes, recently." You laughed. "Sorry for shattering your dreams, Aunt."
"Ah, well that's a little disappointing for me, to be honest." She sighed. "But I see. Congratulations, (M/n)! I didn't know you had it in you!"
"Thanks. I didn't know I had it in me either."

- 8:36 am -
Asmodeus: Good morning!
- 9:24 am -
(M/n): asm0
(M/n): Good morning too
Asmodeus: ♡♡♡
Asmodeus: Just woke up I'm guessing?.
(M/n): Mhm.
(M/n): Actually um
Asmodeus: ?
(M/n): I forgot to ask you yesterday.
(M/n): Are you free today?
Asmodeus: Ooo, are you asking me out on a date? ♡
(M/n): You can put it that way.
- - -
"Aaaa...!" His face grew warm, falling back into the soft and plush mattress. Asmodeus gazed at the words with a grin.
He knew he liked you. Solomon knew he liked you. Even his fucking nightstand knew he liked you at this point.
- - -
(M/n): Could you come over?
(M/n): I need you.
- - -
Asmo nearly fucking inhaled his phone due to how intense his gasp was.
Scrambling to get dressed, he fell off his bed and landed on his face. Luckily for him, he was already awake and had done his skin care routine and bath earlier.
"Oww...!"
Somehow. it didn't take even half an hour before he barged inside your house. You could hear him march up the stairs.
Then your door bursts open.
"I'm ready!"
"Um, for what?" You watched silently as he closed the door and locked it behind him. He began to unbutton the first few buttons of his polo shirt, making you stand up from your chair.
"Wait, wait! What the hell are you doing?"
"You said you needed me, right?"
"To go to the mall and pick a suit with me, you imbecile!"
"Ohhh..." He glanced down at his buttons. Then his head rose, smiling at you. "So that's a no for–"
"God, no!"
- - -
"What do you need a suit for?"
Asmodeus sat beside you as you ate breakfast. "I'm attending my cousin's wedding this Tuesday."
"Ohh, so that's why you'll be absent."
"Mhm. I figured it'd be fine." You took a bite. Your sibling perked up and grinned at you. "Say, how's Yuki? You know Aki would be disappointed to see you without a date. That'd ruin the whole wedding."
"Me being partnerless will not be ruining a wedding, stupid." You irritably argued. "And no. Yuki thought you were joking about it, and is going on a trip with their mother the same day."
"Aww."
"You needed a date for the wedding, and you didn't even think of asking me? Your literal partner?" Asmodeus looked insulted, pinching your cheek harshly. You let out a whine, trying to slap his hand away.
"I was responsible for asking Yuki to be (M/n)'s date a few months ago, Asmo. Sorry about that." Your sibling apologized. Then they grinned. "...Would you like to accompany my idiot brother instead?"
"Hey!"
"I'd be honored!"
You could only deadpan as your sibling and Asmo chattered with the same attitude. He happily took a bite of a protein bar he bought along.
"Sorry again for not making you breakfast as well. I didn't know you were going to visit." Your sibling apologized. Asmo waved it off. "Oh please. I'm the one intruding anyway!"
"..." You continued to stare at the bar, taking a mental note.
'Asmo visits almost every fucking day though.'
- - -
"Waaah! Darling, my hair is getting messy because of the wind. Fix it for me?"
"Your hands are free?" You raised a brow as you two proceeded to walk. Asmo frowned. "Yes, but I want you to do it."
"I'll do a bad job." You looked both sides of the empty street, watching out for any vehicles on the way. Asmodeus huffed, looking away.
Seeing as there were no approaching vehicles, you instinctively took his hand and began walking. Asmo was visibly surprised. It wasn't until you two were back to the side walk did he giggle.
"Aww,"
Only then were you reminded of your intertwined fingers. Though, before you could let go, Asmodeus grinned and tightened his hold on your hand, humming to himself softly.
"..."
Eventually, you both boarded a van to the mall. As soon as you both sat down, Asmodeus yawned, laying his head on your shoulder.
You panicked, lowering the shoulder and letting his head drop down to your lap abruptly.
Having to slide down unexpectedly, Asmodeus groaned, massaging his head lightly. "Oww... (N/n)!"
"Lower your voice." You hissed, not liking the attention due to his shout. Asmodeus clenched his jaw before shoving his hand on your pocket. You nearly choked due to your surprise.
He brought out a familiar note, making your body rigid. "How did you know t..."
Frowning, he delicately rips out a very small portion of the note, leaving a hole in the middle. He hastily folds it and shoves it back into your pocket. Even without seeing the note, you already knew what he ripped out.
Discarding the small piece of paper, he happily nuzzles himself into your side, head tucked comfortably on your neck. You didn't even manage to argue.
Asmodeus' hair was thin and incredibly soft, much to your (delight) demise. The sweet and floral fragrance reached your nostrils.
With a sigh, you wrapped an arm around his shoulder to keep him from being a further nuisance. You weren't able to witness the smirk that was made present in his lips.
This was going to be a long ride.
- - -
"(N/n), which do you think suits me better? A black shawl or a white one?"
"Asmo, please."
"I'll just buy both." He takes both and hangs it on his arm. You groaned, carrying more than a fucking dozen of shit he pilled on you. "Did you even bring enough money?"
"Of course! I always bring a lot of money in case."
"You're an ideal victim for robbery."
"Don't hope for your lover to get robbed." He promptly smacked the back of your head, eliciting a whine from you.
"Whatever. We haven't even gotten suits yet! The main reason for coming here!"
"Oh, right. I was thinking of buying the suits from Majolish. They sell the best clothes with quality threads."
"...You mean the shop nearby outside the mall?"
"Yeah?"
"Then why the fuck are we even here...!?" Your voice came out muffled due to the crap he stacked on you. Asmodeus smiles. "Oh, just a few stuff."
"...You piece of shi–!"
- - -
As punishment for stacking various things, you left Asmo in line to pay for whatever he bought while you went off to buy a few things for your sibling.
"Tissues, vegetable oils, milk..." You pushed the cart as you read off the list your sibling texted you.
Seeing as you were done, you ought to go to the cashier already, only for something to catch your eye on one of the shelves.
"...Wasn't this what Asmo was eating this morning?" You uttered to yourself.
After a few moments of contemplation, you took a box and placed it on the cart.
- - -
"(N/n), we should buy matching suits!"
"What? Why?"
"...What do you mean why?"
"What?"
Both yours and Asmo's brows were furrowed, equally confused. He pointed at you. "You... we're going together, aren't we? I'm your date."
"Oh, right."
Another painful pinch on your cheek followed by a whine.
- - -
Although there were a lot of disadvantages to bringing Asmodeus with you in shopping, (you were taught from experience), there were also advantages too.
You watched as Asmo cheerily conversed with an employee, one arm circled around yours.
'To keep you from wandering away,' he said. Maybe you should try that next time.
...
Next time?
"Oh, but wouldn't you two prefer a personally made suit?" The worker questioned, looking at you. Asmo shook his head. "Ah, too little time. Maybe next time."
"I see. Then please, follow me."
You two obliged.
You didn't have to do much. With your permission, Asmodeus took it upon himself to judge and pick which suits would be best. You thought this would be an aggravating part of today, knowing you'd get scolded if you just picked the nearest one and went along with it, but Asmo was making this a whole lot easier than you thought.
"Hey, (N/n)?"
"Hm?"
"Since we're dating, I can hug you, right?"
"...I suppose so?"
At your answer, he smirked, wrapping his arms on your waist. He hummed, adjusting his grip. Then you feel yourself get squeezed. You grunted. "Ah, too tight–!"
"Oops, sorry."
He retracted his arms and gave you an innocent smile. "Thanks."
"..." What the hell was that about?
Eventually, Asmo settled with a black suit with a maroon undershirt, the tie being black with pink threads on the side. He handed you a set he picked out himself.
He clapped his hands twice, smiling. "Alright, do you want to try it on first?"
"Just try it on with me at the same time."
"In the same room?"
"Why the hell would we do that?"

At first he was overjoyed with the system but soon realizes that he is in a very dangerous world where his life was at risk all the time. (There will be no change in the canon until the New York War ends) Disclaimer : I am not an economist so I might have done some mistakes in the economics section of the story. If you have suggestions to make it better you can leave in the comments. Warning - The MC won't be OP from the start itself and will grow to a powerful character in due time. The starting feels a bit odd because I am totally new to writing a novel and I don't have an editor so the conversations and descriptions might be little stiff. I have been trying to improve. The romance in the story is very little and I understand that its badly written. I am sorry about that but no need to worry. It doesn't have any effect in the story. The story is assumed on the fact that the reader at least knows the plot of Marvel movies and some popular animes. All the other elements are explained as much as possible. P.S. This story is based on pure Marvel Multiverse
