It was night time now and you where helping Leo up the stairs. You reached the room and placed him down. Taking his crutches and looking them up and down.
"Something wrong with them Errian.?"
"No. I'm just making sure their aren't any cuts or any part breaking." Leo nodded and laid down. You followed shorty after and laid on your mattress.
"How come you don't take the big bed, instead of sleeping on the one on the floor.?"
"You need to heal. So you get the better bed." You rolled over, your back facing Leo. You closed your eyes and feel asleep. Leo tired but couldn't sleep. For some reason he was thinking about early. Your smile, your eyes, the way you talked to him. The fact you would stop time and space for him. He just couldn't stop. He turned his head to look at you. Seeing you fast asleep. Leo looked away with a blushing face. The fact you looked so cute while sleeping. He knew he wasn't going to sleep anytime soon.
It was around 3 and Leo was still wide awake. He as either lookin at the ceiling or he was looking at you. You shot up awake, burning hot. Leo looked over and watched as you got up with the tiny lamp and walk over to him. He pretended to sleep. He felt your hands on his body, feeling around his wounds. He felt you pull the blanket off a bit and check his leg. After she left the room. Leo sat up wondering why you were awake and why you left. It was pouring out. The sound of the rain echo through the house, canceling your footsteps. After 5 minutes Leo still hasn't seen you come, which only made him worry.

Leo's pov:
She still hasn't returned and I was getting worried. It's was cold out and raining hard. I got up and used the crutches to get to the stairs. I did my best and managed to get down the stairs without any help, making me feel better, but the fact was their was still no sigh of you. I saw the front door cracked open a little. I walked over to the door and opened it wider to see Errian sitting on the chair with her lamp. I walked out and sat next to her, startling her. She jumped a bit and looked at me, then looked away.
"What are you doing awake and out of bed.?" She asked quietly.
"Didn't see you, so I came looking for you, plus I couldn't sleep." I stared off into the woods, which she was staring at to.
"How come your awake.?" I asked. She stayed silent, telling me she didn't want to talk about it.
"It's alright. I won't push you to tell. I'm just worried. You seemed to have been sweating a lot when waking up." I looked at, and from the corner of my eye I saw her hand ball into a fist.
"It's nothing. It was just a nightmare, that's all." Her hand fell out of a fist and back to her palm on her knee.
"I see. Those suck. I remember getting those a lot."
"You used to have nightmares to.?" She asked looking at me.
"Well everyone gets them, just not the kind you should have." I said quietly. She sighed.
"I feel you man." She laughed a little. She got closer to me and leaned her head on my shoulder. I wrapped my arm around her shoulder but she tensed up a little. I quickly let go.

"You alright.?" I asked becoming panic.
"It's alright. Just my fucking shoulder. Nothing to worry about." She said holding her shoulder.
"Let me see it." She took off her jacket fully this time, showing she was only wearing a tank top.
"It seemed like it got worse Errian. This doesn't seem like a normal krang blaster shot. What did he shot you with."
"It's was, it was just. Can we not." She seemed tense.
"Ya, but one question." She looked at me.
"The burn marks and scars in your arms, how you get those.?" She seemed to be lost in thought when I asked, letting my know I shouldn't have asked.
"It was from the krang. Like I said. I know them, but not in the good kind of knowing." She clenched her hand into a fist once again.
"Sorry for asking." I looked away. Ashamed for asking that. I felt a hand on my arm. I look over to see her smiling.
"It's alright. No need to be ashamed. I did say you could ask me anything, I never really gave any boundaries." I have a small smirk. We sat their for a bit longer, listening to the rain. I looked at Errian and saw her shiver.
"We should get inside. It's getting cold." I stood up, walking to the door. She just sat their, looking into the forest. She made it seem like someone was out their, watching us. She got up and placed her jacket on the chair.
"Get in the house." She said sternly.
"Why what's wrong.?"
"We got company." She said. I looked into the forest to see purple glowing things. She pulled out a small katana and got ready. All the sudden we got blasted with blasters. I stumbled a little, but never got shot. I saw that they weren't shoting at me, but at Errian. She ran into the rain and into the forest. This made me officially freak out. I wanted to go after but I can't do much they way I am. I turned and walked into the house. Getting to the stairs, I yelled for everyone. Slowly they all came to the stairs asking what happen. I told them how we were just talking, then how she told me to get in the house, then getting shot at, and Errian running into the forest in a tank top in the cold rain. Everyone got their weapons and ran outside, leaving me alone. Not being able to do anything, I sat outside and waited for them to return.

Humanity Extinguished
I had the same nightmare again. The loss of my first life continues to haunt me, but now it aches like an old wound. A more grievous injury to my psyche was the losses yet to come and the inevitable hellscape I would return to again and again. Reincarnation is my curse. The lives themselves weren't all that bad. Losing people you cared about hurt and all, but even that pain was preferable to experiencing the nothingness between lives for months at a time. It was enough to drive anyone mad. Now I have to focus on breaking this horrible cycle. Thankfully I have all the time in the world. Trace is an average man driven by extraordinary circumstances in an indifferent and cruel world. His reincarnations give him a few key advantages but also take a heavy toll on him. He lives in a world where magic is uncommon and underpowered compared to the limitless physical adaptations you can acquire by getting your hands a little bloody. This story is one of hardship and terrible lows, but also monumental achievements and grand heights. The main character has flaws. While some of these flaws will fade with time, others will worsen. Thank you for taking the time to read my synopsis. I plan to release 2-3 chapters a week.
