《Bakugou's Lover》Chapter Five: Bloody Flowers

The car ride was filled with music of Katsuki's choice. Kirishima didn't really ever listen to music so hearing what Katsuki liked was nice. He was learning more and more every time he talked to him. He smiled as the younger sang his heart out.
"What song is this one, baby?" Katsuki looked over to Kirishima before looking back at his fingers. "Mr. Brightside." He smiled and started singing the next verse. Kirishima pulled over onto a street corner and pulled out his phone. It had been pinging the whole time.
"Where the hell are you?"
"You can't just up and go like that! Especially with Kacchan."
"You're so damn impulsive!"
"Iida says you took the black Bentley, you know that's an emergency car!"
Kirishima just shut his phone down and slipped it in the cupholder. Kirishima wasn't so happy with them at the moment. "Hey, Kirishima?" His red eyes looked over to the blond and frowned. "I told you to call me Eijiro." Katsuki's eyes widened before looking down at his hands. Tangling his fingers.
"Sorry, e-eijiro." He smiled and put a hand on his thigh. "It's okay, baby. What were you going to ask?" Katsuki's eyes tore away from the hand on his eye and towards the grinning redhead. "Can we stop by my flower shop? I wanna see if my flowers are okay?" Katsuki said. He wouldn't bear the fact that his flowers could have died. His eyes started watering as he squeezed his hands together. Kirishima's heart tore and he smiled.
"Of course we can. We're not that far away from there. It will only take a couple of seconds." The blond nodded his head and wiped his face. Kirishima laughed at himself. He was so whipped for this boy.
A couple of minutes had passed when they finally reached his little slower shop. The lights were off and the closed sign was still where he placed it that night he last saw it. "You go ahead in. I just gotta make a quick call. I'll be in there in a minute." Katsuki nodded. "I'll be counting." He muttered loud enough for Kirishima to hear.

He turned his phone back on and called Midoriya who immediately picked up. "What the hell, Kirishima!" He took the phone away from his ear to save them. He sighed. "Where the hell are you and Kacchan!" "We're fine. I just called to tell you that Katsuki needs new flowers." "You're by his flower shop?" Whispering could be heard from the other line as Kirishima scoffed.
"Don't even try it. Will be gone before you even get on his block. I called for one thing only that's for Katsuki to get new flowers. It's no doubt that most of them are dead. And I wouldn't want Katsuki to cry about not having any more flowers." "When are you guys coming back?" Todoroki says through the phone. "..."
Kirishima shut his phone off again and put it back. He stepped out of his car and walked into the shop. The little bell rang as he closed the door. He couldn't see Katsuki anywhere so he assumed he was in the back. It looked at all the dead flowers that wilted on the floor. The dead leaves scattered everywhere.
He heard crying from the greenery and rushed into it. He saw him clutching a bouquet of white zinnias flowers. They were obviously dead. A black vase was knocked over next to him. "...katsuki?" He looked up from the flowers and frowned. Kirishima was taken back. He had never seen katsuki sadder.
"They...died." He whimpered out. Kirishima knelt down next to him and pulled him into a hug. "I can get you new ones." Katsuki didn't reply, he just shook his head and put the dead flowers back into their vase. "It's okay. It doesn't matter."
"You don't have to worry about it. Midoriya and Todoroki and working on getting you new flowers! It will be okay." Kirishima tightens his grip on him. He couldn't see his face when he hugged him like that but he could only imagine the look he had on his face.

"We can go to my friend's house now. I'll be okay after I see them." Katsuki smiled, turning towards him. He smiled softly back and helped him up. They turned off all the lights before locking it back up. Katsuki always kept a key under one of the potted plants that hung out so if he ever forgot his he would always be able to get in.
The ride there was filled with music but Katsuki wasn't singing. Kirishima wondered if it was because of the dead flowers he had clutched to his chest not so long ago. He placed a hand on his thigh for reinsurance. Katsuki kept his gaze out the window watching all the houses go by.
They pulled into a driveway and Katsuki smiled. "Thank you, Eijiro," Katsuki said it so confidently and proudly it made Kirishima's heart warm. Katsuki jumped out of the car and ran. "Race you!" Kirishima was always up for a good chase so he quickly ran out of the car. He chased him all the way to the front door and Katsuki laughed. He knocked on the door and waited for his friend to open it.
Silence.
"Maybe they're sleeping?" Kirishima said. "Well, I guess I need to wake them up!" Katsuki walked over to a bush that was in front of their living room window which was closed and pulled out a box. In the boy was a key. "House key." He said as he unlocked the front door. He turned to Kirishima, putting a finger over his own mouth, and walked in. Kirishima walked in closely after and closed the door.
The whole house was silent. And it put Kirishima on edge. He slid his hand to his pocket where the gun was and quickly realized that it wasn't there. He must have left it in the car when Katsuki suggested a race. He put a hand on Katsuki's shoulder and pulled him back.
"Where do you think you're going?" Kirishima quickly turned towards the door to be met face to face with the barrel of a gun. He tried to grab Katsuki but he wasn't behind him anymore. He looked back to see him being held by a black-haired bitch. "Dabi." Kirishima knew him all too well. He's wanted Yagi's territory for who knows how long. "Kirishima. You dirty dog. You found yourself a fine toy." He watched as Dabi ran his hands through Katsuki's hair. "You got a good one this time. He's so pretty, I might make him mine."
"Get your dirty fucking hands off of him!" Kirishima yelled. He wanted to kill him right there but he had someone pointing a gun at him from behind. "Turn the lights on!" The lights suddenly turned on and six other people were in the room. Twice, Toga and Kurgiri were standing by the wall holding a blindfolded girl with green hair. "Tsu?" Katsuki said, trying to push himself away from Dabi. "Ah ah. Where do you think you're going?" Dabi hit Katsuki with the handle of the gun and he fell to the floor. "What the hell do you want from me?" "I want to take back what's rightfully mine and your territory!"
Kirishima froze. "...what's rightfully yours? What does that mean?" "Sadly for you. You won't be alive long enough to find out." Dabi laughed, shooting Kirishima in the thigh. He fell to the floor holding it. His eyes started unfocusing as the blood from his wound covered the floor. He watched in blurry images Katsuki being taken away and someone standing in front of him.
"Hope you burn in hell."

Necromancer and Co.
In a time before the existence of the present, the gods decided to create a plane of existence where all their creations could exist in the same place. In it, all would be fair, and all gaps between races and technological advancements could be crossed with a single system that the gods had created. Every year, the gods would choose a new race to put in their land, and in this new group of beautifully unlucky people, Alen, his friends, and a few people from Earth have finally met their turn to be tossed into the playground of the gods. Unfortunately though, Alen was thrust into a forest of corpse-eating bears and horribly smelly undead on his first day, one of the many danger-zones of the continent the gods had chosen to throw them in. It would be easy to say that he simply died within the first day, or that he'd starved to death or whatever, but let's be honest... That story would be no fun to tell, yes? The Weather Vane
This is the first few chapter of my new book available on Amazon. The beginning is very light and fun, but more mature content comes later. From medieval fantasy to ultra high-tech to dinosaurs, The Weather Vane is a grippingly fast-paced adventure full of fun and excitement, literary flourish, and colorful characters. A group of ascendant masters find themselves in the afterlife and learn that they are newly recruited into the cosmic battle of good versus evil. Before they can join the fight, shipwreck strikes and they are lost in the ether. Stranded in a magical land beyond the reaches of the universe, The Weather Vane follows our crew of heroes as they try to piece things back together even while The Dark Lord’s forces march, maraud, and murder at every turn. Themes of darkness chase the overall levity of The Weather Vane which suffers not a lull as the climax begins near the beginning of the book and drives on through the greatly satisfying finish. The most epic of epics.
