《Mindlessly Wandering (Shinso x Reader)》Chapter 2

"Get up brat." My dad harshly shook my body.
I sat up and got out of bed quickly.
"There are going to be a bunch of pro heroes there, if you give off any vibe on what goes on here, you'll spend winter in the garage with a tank top and shorts." He glared.
Haha...good thing I've lost all emotions...
"Get dressed and cover up any marks, we leave in 15 minutes." He said exiting my room.
I got up and changed into a (f/c) sweater and comfy leggings and called it good.
I brushed my teeth and hair as I went through my check list of my morning routine.
"We leave now." My dad said as he grabbed my wrist tightly and dragged me out to the car.
The car ride was silent as I stared out the window and watched as friends walked down the street laughing.
Must be nice
"Get out. We're here."
I looked at the school before me. It was big, and looked very complex, but when we got inside it wasn't as hard to navigate as I thought it'd be.
"Ah, Cataclysmic! Good to see you and your daughter here!" A little white mouse came out and greeted us. He had a scar on his right eye.
"Principle Nezu, glad you could meet with us. And please, call me Aisen." My dad smiled.
Faker...
Nezu turned his attention to me.
"You must be (y/n), nice to meet you." The mouse said sticking out his hand for me to shake.
I hesitantly shook it.
...soft
"Follow me this way, we can all meet and talk..."
The mouse kept going but I was too busy looking at the pictures of students who had graduated and became heroes.
Heroes...what's the big deal about them...if they were real heroes, then kids like me wouldn't exist.

"Lost?" I heard a tired voice ask me. I turned my head to see a tall man with shaggy black hair and a scarf around his neck.
He looked like he hadn't slept in 8 years.
I shook my head as I began to walk in the direction my dad went then stopped as I was indeed lost.
"You must be (l/n) (y/n), follow me, I'm supposed to be there with everyone anyways." He said and walked up next to me.
As we walked, I could feel him look at me every so often which made me a bit uncomfortable.
"You don't talk much." He pointed out.
I looked at him with the same dead expression I've had since this morning. Then looked ahead.
I looked at the girl, though she was wearing baggy clothes, I could tell she was abnormally skinny. It looked like she hadn't eaten in weeks.
Does her dad even feed her? And what's with that expression...
We finally got to the meeting room and I held the door open for (l/n).
"Ah, there you are!" My dad exclaimed and grabbed me by the shoulders. He squeezed them hard enough to create two new bruises on my shoulder blades.
I kept the same straight faces as he sat me down in a chair across from the principle.
"So miss (l/n), would you please explain further into depth about your quirk?" Nezu asked
"Well I can heal others by transferring their wound to myself. I cannot transfer to anything else but me. And I am able to destroy anything I touch. Be it metal, cement, you name it."
"Any weaknesses or limits?"
"Well, if I use the destroy too much, then it starts to spread to me and I slowly destroy myself. But I can counteract that by healing others. If that makes sense..."

"So if you start to destroy yourself, you just have to heal others and then you'll be fine?" Nezu asked.
"Yes, though I will have their injuries, the part of me that was destroyed will heal itself."
"Very interesting indeed. And it sounds very helpful. We always need more support and healers!"
Yeah, it's a great quirk for others, either way I hurt myself.
"That's my kiddo, and she has great control over her quirk!" My dad boasted.
I mentally rolled my eyes as the two continued to talk and looked over at the guy who had brought me here.
"Ah, this will be your homeroom teacher, Aizawa." The mouse explained.
"Or better known as Eraserhead, long time no see!" My dad said happily.
I hate this, I want to leave.
"Cataclysmic." Aizawa greeted.
"No need for that, call me Aisen!" My dad stuck his hand out for Aizawa to shake. When he didn't shake back, my dad awkwardly laughed it off.
"Still the same old sour puss you used to be I see." He laughed. I could tell that Aizawa also did not want to be here.
"Well anyways, thank you both for coming in! The exams will happen in about 3 weeks. See you then miss (l/n)!" The mouse said as we got up to leave.
"Thanks for recommending her!" My dad exclaimed as we exited.
When we got back inside the car, I buckled myself in and rested my chin on my hand.
"Look at me." My dad said, when I turned my head to look at him, he back handed me.
I didn't move my head towards him and just stared at my feet.
"Aizawa was getting suspicious because of you and your new attitude. You embarrassed me in front of him, don't you ever-" my dad stopped abruptly.
I looked up slightly to see that Aizawa had walked outside.
"Well finish this when we get home." He said angrily.
I kept my head down the rest of the ride home.
I watched (y/n)'s dad put his hands on her shoulders, and it looked a little too forceful on her small figure. But the girl showed no sign of pain.
I got lost in my thoughts and didn't listen in until (y/n) talked about how both her quirks hurt her in some way.
Is this what UA has come too? Letting students hurt themselves to save others?
I heard Nezu introduce me as her homeroom teacher and snapped out of my thoughts.
Her dad had gotten up to shake my hand.
"Or better known as Eraserhead! Long time no see!" He said cheerful as he stuck his hand out towards me.
Don't get all buddy buddy with me, I barely know you.
"Cataclysmic." I said. He awkwardly laughed it off and said their goodbyes.
Somethings...not right.
I waited a couple of minutes then heard the sound of a car start.
When I walked outside, I caught a glimpse of what was happening but quickly looked away.
As I thought, he's abusing her. Better stay back and just watch closely for now.
I walked back in after they left and was stopped by Nezu.
"Aizawa, you seemed a little off, did you notice it as well?" He asked.
I nodded.
"Yeah, the fact that her father is hurting her at home." I said.
"Yes, what should we do about that?"
"I have somewhat of an idea but I'm not completely sure when to act on it."
"Well I'll leave it to you then!" He said as he walked off.
I mentally sighed.
What has UA come to.
