《Mindlessly Wandering (Shinso x Reader)》Chapter 3

Two to three weeks. Two to three weeks in hell. My dad would wake me up and all he'd do is train me.
My arms were so sore I could barely lift them and my legs hurt to the point where I can't even put my heels on the ground.
I was constantly walking on my toes with bent knees because if I straightened them or tried to walk normally, I'd collapse from pain.
About a week in, the training got harsher.
"Today we're going to work on hits."
All he's gonna do is hit me today...
"You'll come at me with all you've got." He finished.
...I get to hit him?
"S-so..I'm..attacking you?" I asked for clarification.
He slapped me across the face.
"I just explained it." He growled.
I shook it off and raced towards him jumping up.
I winced when I felt my body reject it out of pain.
Dad grabbed me and threw me on the floor.
"You're too slow. Speed up your attacks."
I got up again and felt my body pop in ways it shouldn't, but charged again.
I tried to jump kick him, but he blocked using his forearm and then slammed his elbow onto my back, sending me to the floor again.
He lifted me up by my collar and bore his black eyes into my (e/c) ones.
"You're a pathetic excuse for a daughter. You're lucky to be in this house and this is what you show me?"
He dropped me and I ended up hitting my head causing me to turn over and throw up.
When I opened my eyes, my vision was blurry but I felt my dad grab my hand.
"Use your quirk and heal my forearm. It didn't hurt me enough. I don't need to see a pathetic red mark on my arm all day."
When I didn't comply, he used his quirk on my hand and my hand started turning black and chipping away.
I gasped as I watched my hand slowly disintegrate.
"I said use your quirk and heal me. I won't ask again."
I quickly used my quirk and healed my dad, transferring the wound to me.
Since my arm is bone skinny, I heard a snap in my arm and cried out. I looked at my arm horrified at it's disfigurement.
It was broken.
"Shut up." My dad spat.
"You'll be spending the rest of the week in here." He said as he shut the door and turned of the light, locking the door.
I layed on the floor holding my arm close to my chest as I cried silently.
My breathing quickened and I started to panic. It felt as if the walls were closing in on me leaving no room to breathe.
Let me out...let me out...let me out...LET ME OUT DAMMIT...LET ME OUT
I felt myself get light headed due to my breathing.
Everything...hurts...why can't I heal myself...stupid quirk...stupid dad...stupid training stupid heroes
My eyes slowly shut as I felt my consciousness leave.

I should just leave...faster
A week went past and I was still in the basement where I had trained. I hadn't seen any light or had any food and I had to drink the water I had very sparingly.
How much longer...is this going to be how I die?
I thought heroes were supposed to save...
I lay there on the cold floor in a tank top and shorts, my arm still in pain from not being treated and infected from disintegration.
Please God...if you're there...let at least one person hear me...and let me be saved...
I heard the door open and I had to squint my eyes at the light. There was a lot of voices, two being very familiar.
The shouts of my dad, and one other. A silhouette came towards me and lifted me up from the ground.
"(Y/n) I need you to stay awake for me now." The voice said. When I was carried outside I shut my eyes due to how bright it was.
I finally saw who it was that took me out of the basement. He had shaggy black hair and the same tired eyes.
"A...Aizawa...?" I said quietly. He put me into the back of some vehicle where I was put in a bed and many people were worrying over something.
Stop touching me...
They kept trying to hook different things up to my body and I kept trying to push them away. I watched as Aizawa started to exit the vehicle.
"N-no...don't go.." I tried to shout out to him as I sat up weakly.
"Stop touching me..." I said as the people continued to push me down.
"Miss I'm gonna need you to trust us." One lady said.
I pushed their hands away again and tried to sit up.
"A-Aizawa-"
"Miss you need to lay down" A man said.
"No...s-stop...I need Mr. Aizawa..."
"You can see him later. Right now you need to lay down." The man began to raise his voice and used a little more force.
Stop...stop! It's too loud!
I started freaking out as they yelled at me. I clasped my hands on my head and shut my eyes as they got louder and kept touching me.
I decided to go to (l/n)'s house and observe just exactly what's going on.
There house was in a secluded area pretty far from the city, which made sense for a pro.
For about two weeks I watched her dad train her non stop, then hit her when she messed up or took a break.
It was definitely exhausting for her. She could barely walk and her father didn't feed her properly. She got maybe two meals a week if she was lucky.
I watched as this time it was (y/n) who came at her dad, but because she was sore I watched her get thrown to the floor relentlessly.
She finally got a good hit in but was again thrown down.
I watched as her dad spoke to her...at first it was calm, and then he yelled and used his quirk on her.

Bastard...how can you do this to a child.
(Y/n) let out a cry and when I looked to see what happened, her arm was disfigured and broken due to how weak she's gotten. Her dad got up and left, then the room went dark.
I decided to go and pay him a visit and knocked on the door, I had a recording tape on.
"Ah, Aizawa! What are you doing here at this time of day? On patrol?" Aisen asked.
"No, just stopped by to give (y/n) her books and some paperwork she has to fill out."
"Oh, don't they give these to the students after the entrance exams?" He asked.
"Not for recommended kids." I lied.
"Ah, well I can give these to (y/n) so I'll just take them."
"No need, I actually need to speak with (y/n) regarding plans for her future."
I watched Aisen's face grow nervous as he tried to think of a way to get out of it.
"Uhm..haha she's not here right now...she's actually at her grandparent's place!" He laughed it off.
"Oh, how unfortunate, then I guess I'll give her a call."
Aisen's face began to sweat a little.
"Sh-she doesn't have a phone..."
"I can always email her."
"No." Aisen said harshly, then he laughed. "She's not going to be able to answer."
"Oh? And why's that?"
"I'm sorry Aizawa, I hear my phone ringing, I'm going to have to shut the door now." Aisen said as he shut the door in my face.
Alright then, time to go get the police.
About a week had gone by and still no sign of Aisen letting his daughter out.
I have police on stand by so I called them up and told them to come.
I knocked on Aisen's door and told him to let me in.
"Aisen let me in. I know what you've been doing to (y/n)."
No answer, so I kicked the door down and went inside myself. I spotted Aisen quickly and pinned him down.
"Where's your daughter."
Aisen didn't say anything, when the police came they grabbed him leaving me to find the poor girl.
I finally found the door to the basement and saw the girl laying on the floor.
"STOP SHE'S MY SUCCESSOR SHE HASN'T LEARNED SHIT"
"(Y/n), I need you to stay awake for me now." I said carrying her out of the house.
I watched as she shut her eyes tightly due to how bright it was outside and quickly put her in the ambulance.
"A...Aizawa...?" I heard her ask while laying her down on the bed.
"Aizawa, we need you to answer some questions." I heard a police officer say.
I exited the vehicle and went to where I was being called.
Aisen looked at me with hateful eyes.
"You put yourself in this spot. Some hero." I told him as he was put in the police car and driven away.
"What are we going to do about the girl?" I asked.
"Well, we'll see if she has any distant relatives but if she doesn't she's too young to take care of herself. We'll have to send her into foster care.
Yelling was heard from inside the ambulance.
It hasn't left yet?
I quickly made my way over there and saw (y/n) balled up with her eyes shut and hands covering her ears. The nurses were crowding her and trying to speak with her.
"Stop it. Don't you know how to deal with a kid in shock? A kid who's been traumatized? She's been through a lot. You all need to be a bit more understanding and gentle."
They all looked at me as I walked over to the scared girl and gently grabbed her hand.
She flinched and opened her eyes.
"It's gonna be okay now." I said softly as the girl began crying and latched onto me.
I hesitated but hugged her back as she probably needed it.
"I need you to lay down and let them help you." I said as I helped her lay down.
I got up to leave but was stopped.
"Please...don't leave..." (y/n) said quietly.
I looked at the nurses for permission and they all nodded their heads.
And I stayed with (y/n) all the way til we got to the hospital.
When they took me to the hospital, Aizawa had to leave to go talk to the police. The doctors were all telling me things about my injuries mostly about my hand.
A small old woman came in and kissed my hand which almost immediately healed it, although it still had to be put in a cast as she couldn't heal all of it.
The most she focused on healing was the parts of my hand that were disintegrating.
When she left, I was all alone again. I had some nurses come in occasionally to check if I needed help with anything or if anything needed adjusting.
When I didn't answer, they just stood there awkwardly for thirty seconds then left.
How did Aizawa even know...is he coming back? What's going to happen with me...
My mind kept racing about different scenarios that would happen when the door opened again.
I turned my head to see Aizawa walking in and sitting on a chair next to me.
"How you feeling kid?" He asked. I was silent and shrugged.
"You don't have to be afraid to talk around me, nobody else is here but me." He said.
"I see you still haven't eaten anything off your plate." He said looking at the full tray of food that I had pushed away from me.
"(Y/n), I need you to eat something for me okay?"
I looked at him expecting to see an angry face, but I was met with a gentle tired one.
I nodded and grabbed the tray, I began slowly eating the cold soup that was brought to me earlier.
"Thank you, now I need you to listen to me for a second while you eat." He paused.
"How would you feel if I became your guardian?"
