: Hi everyone! I just want to say that I'm so sorry for not updating for 2 weeks. I was so caught up in other and just didn't have time to continue this story. This chapter was made in between everything I was doing so I'm sorry if the mood of the story or the writing style kind of changes (yes that happens.). I still hope you enjoy the story. Love you all!

Edmund and I went downstairs to join everyone else for dinner. Many servants and even people front he Telmarinian Court thanked and congratulated me. Boy, did my pride shoot up.
Edmund and I sat down, opposite sides.
The whole time, we were eyeing each other, not knowing when to ask them.
"So, Island Princess-" said Caspian.
"Huh?" I said, and turned to face him.
"Are you fully rested?" he asked. "The Narnians are asking when you can heal the forest... Once you are completely well, that is."
"Oh no, yeah- I'm alright." I answered. "I've kept them waiting for three days. I'll start tomorrow."
"Great. We have some business to take care of." said Peter, eyeing his siblings.
"Tomorrow? I'm going with Y/N." said Edmund.
"No, Ed. I'll be fine." I told him as I locked my fingers with his under the table.
The rest went back to eating their dinner and continued to talk amongst themselves.
"You ready?" asked Edmund.
"I guess.."
I cleared my throat to catch everyone's attention. The room became silent and all eyes shifted to us.
"So... what happens after the forest's life have been restored?" I asked.
They were all silent, looking for an answer. It seemed like they didn't know.
"Do we go back to Finchley, Peter?" asked Lucy. The expression on her face was obvious that she didn't want to leave and that she would gladly take for an answer.
"Finchley? Whats a Finchley?" asked Oliver.

Peter looked at Lucy, not sure what to say either. "Lucy-"
"Where's Finchley?" Oliver asked again. "Is it in Narnia? The Lone Islands, perhaps?"
"I want to go back." said Susan. "Peter, we need to go back."
Caspian was upset, but he didn't make it obvious. Susan couldn't look at Caspian.
"No we dont-" said Lucy.
"What about me?" I asked. "I'm the Island Princess. A part of me lives here."
"Can't anybody hear me? What or where is this Finchley?" Oliver asked again. This time, even louder.
"Did you hear something?" asked Edmund, sarcastically.
Oliver rolled his eyes and I giggled at his joke.
Lucy shot Edmund a can-you-not look.
Lucy faced Oliver. "It's where we're from."
"Where is that?" asked Oliver.
"Not in Narnia." she said. "Think of it as a different world."
"A-and you're going back?" asked Oliver as he held Lucy's hand. He didn't want Lucy to go.
We all looked at Susan.
"Why do you want to leave?" asked Peter.
"Peter, look at us. Look at everything around us; dancing trees, talking animals, Kings and Queens," she continued, "This is a child's fantasy."
"It's a fantasy we'll never get to experience once we're too old." I answered.
"Susan, you'll only be a child once." said Lucy. "Don't rush to grow up or you'll never appreciate the magic we have as kids."
"I'm not a kid." Susan said as she glared at Lucy.
"I want to stay." said Edmund.
"I want to stay!" said Lucy.
"A part of me lives here so yes I definitely want to stay!" I said.
Susan looked at her siblings. She looked at Caspian. She knew her decision hurt Caspian, but seeing him was different.
Caspian's eyes finally met Susan's, but Susan looked away.
(*Titanic music starts playing* we love a dramatic scene)
"Peter-" said Susan as she looked at Peter, hoping he would side with her.

"Why do you want to leave, anyway?" asked Peter.
"Because- I'm not a child anymore!" she said. "I want to grow up and experience being a woman!"
"You will." said Edmund.
"What?" asked Susan.
"You will. You don't stay a kid in Narnia, you know. You'll be a woman again. Just like the first time we arrived... do you remember?"
Susan looked at all the faces in the room for some kind of defense, but all she got were curious looks. No one understood why she wanted to leave.
She stopped looking at everyone and looked at her untouched food. Susan stood up and left. Her footsteps echoes through the halls. We only watched as her slow footsteps became more fast paced, until she started to run.
Lucy and I looked at each other. We followed behind.
We told the boys to stay. This was a girl's talk.
"Susan!" we called out as we ran through the halls of the Telmarine's Castle. "Wait!"
Susan finally came to a halt just as she was about to exit the castle.
"What do you want?!" she asked, frustrated. Tears were forming in her eyes.
"Susan just tell us! Why do you wish to grow up so quickly?" asked Lucy, upset her sister wasn't as open with her as she'd hoped.
"You wouldn't understand. You both are just children." she said as she turned around.
I'm sixteen-
"Leave me alone." she demanded , and walked down the castle steps. "And follow me." she turned around and left.
Lucy and I looked at each other.
What else could we have done?
~ • ~ • ~
I walked through the village of the Telmarines. Through the bridge and into the forest. I needed to calm down.
I wanted to leave, yes. But I, myself, didn't understand why I reacted the way I did. I love it here in Narnia. A part of me does want to stay, but tonight, that part of me didn't show up. It didn't stop me. I didn't have one positive thought of staying in Narnia.
I heard a rustle in the leaves behind me.
I was alert and turned to where the sound was coming from. Unfortunately, I had left me bow and arrow in the castle.
What? You think I would need to shoot somebody at dinner?
"Who's there?" I asked. "Show yourself!"
From the shadows of the forest, a hyena stepped into the open light of the moon.
"What do you want?" I asked, backing away slowly.
"Same as you." said the hyena with a raspy voice. "I want to leave Narnia."
That's odd.
"What do you mean you want to leave Narnia? And how did you know?" I asked.
"Parents told me stories." he explained. "I know just where to go and I'm on my way there now."
"You are?" I asked, curiosity rising. "Where is that exactly?"
"This." said the hyena and revealed a icy blue, chipped piece of a diamond. "Once I break this, this will open up a portal to wherever you want to go."
"I-I thought only Aslan could do that." I told him.
"Times are changing." answered the hyena. "We can't always wait for Aslan, can we?"
I stayed silent. I needed to make a decision.
"So are you in or out?"
YOUR POV
Lucy and I walked back up the steps.
"I feel so useless." said Lucy.
I looked at her and saw the sadness on her face. "Don't blame yourself Lu." I told her and put my hand on her shoulder. "Some people just prefer to keep to themselves."
We walked through the halls in silence. Until we finally opened the big door into the dining room.
All was quiet.
"Susan ran off into the forest." we announced.
"What are you talking about?" asked Peter.
"She's right here."

Flame Beneath The Snowfall
Alto is a world governed by Tones. Magic, as one might call it. Manifested through deep mental and physical conditioning, one can control the Tones in a way that is unique to them. The power to store items in gems, transfer life, affect a person's mind, and even the more primal abilities such as control of the elements. Those who have these supernatural abilities are called 'Vassals.' People that fully manifest their abilities are not as common as one might think, and not all Vassals acquire their ability through practice, given if conditions are met. In fact, those who had received much trauma manifest the Tones more frequently, albeit spontaneously. However, the rare kind of Vassals are those who manifest it from childhood. A gift, but not without its repercussions. Alto is stuck in a transitional era, where the line between modern and dated technology is blurred. One can travel to a city that has a tall skyline, bustling with people in sophisticated clothing, or a mere town governed by a lord, all the while riding on a powered vehicle. Cultures vary: Some turn to the more dated practices such as castes, others are more inclined to set equal footing on their people, led by nobility. Some are dedicated to become scholars, studying Alto's Tones, while others set foot on hunts, protecting lone towns from the creatures of some of the still-untamed lands. And the Vassals? Those willing are took under The Organization, an elusive group, its presence said to permeate all throughout Alto, taking care of Rogue Vassals that abuse their abilities and other businesses related to their side. But what is this story all about, you may ask? Well, set your sights on the upper portions of this huge landmass that is Alto. Yes, the 'whole' world is called Alto, but that is because the majority of the known people live on this large continent. Relieve yourself of the worrying tensions everywhere, and see the white snow. Trace the piercing mountaintops and focus your eyes between the valley. A town sits there. Mido. After realizing that the memories only left in his mind was the night of his town's imminent destruction in flames, a boy finds himself grasping for every fiber of his life as he lays down flat on the ground. Beneath him was soot mixed with the white snow. Fortunately, a group of investigators, who were supposed to answer their call for help, saved him from his sorry state. With a newfound second wind, but hampered by his loss of memory, he must solve his own case: Who had the audacity to set Mido, his town, aflame? Flame Beneath the Snowfall focuses on action, with a sense of adventure, but mostly the discovery of an outside world, and the protagonist's exposure to it. Add in a whisk of soft magical elements, and you get a story that I hope will be interesting to the readers. That is not to say that my work is without the sense of unnerving atmosphere, however. As a forewarning, there are elements of gore, horror, minor elements of mental trauma, etc. so it is not for all audiences. *The book is already completed. Although I have plans to continue the story (it would have to involve much larger scope in terms of world-building), I have yet to decide when to start the next entry.
