《The Island Princess (Edmund Pevensie x Reader)》24

I looked at the sword and looked back at him.
Did he actually expect me to follow him?
Without thinking twice, I pointed the sword at Olivers throat.
"Edmund what are you doing?!" asked Oliver as his voice broke.
"You must be insane if you think I'd be willing to put our lives in your hands." I scoffed.
"Look at Y/N!" said Oliver. "Does she look like she's in actual pain?!"
"You think I dont know what pain looks like?" I asked.
"Oh I dont know, but I'm sure gesturing to Peter isn't one." he said.
I looked at Y/N. She was still screaming and shouting but her head was gesturing to Peter and the others.
Wow, convincing acting... I am so in love with her right now.
Y/N then rolled her eyes and mouthed the words "Focus". I quickly put my sword down.
"Alright whatever." I scoffed. "What's the plan?"
"Unlock Peter and the others." said Oliver. "Then let's meet back in the forest."
The White Witch was busy giving her speech while her crowd cheered for her. They were both distracted so it was a perfect time to help the others.
As as we were unlocking the chains, I noticed figures hiding in the forest. It was our crew.
I unlocked the Lucy's chain, the last one, and met up with Oliver unnoticed.
"What's the plan?" asked Peter.
"Y/N's fake screams wont distract them for long." said Susan.
"Its only a matter of time before they realized nothing's happening." said Caspian.
"Caspian, Susan, Lucy; prepare for battle." instructed Oliver. "Edmund will unlock Y/N's chains and I will try to break the waterfall."
"How will you do that?" asked Lucy. "The whole crowd is blocking her."
"I know a way behind it." said Oliver. "If I fail or someone notices us, you guys attack."
"Got it." we said in unison and parted ways.
I snuck from ice block to ice block and crept my way closer to Y/N. She was getting visibly exhausted from screaming and shouting.
I got to the last block closest to her. "Psst, Y/N" I whispered. "Y/N!"
Unfortunately, aside from attracting her attention, I attracted the attention of a dwarf in the back of the crowd.
The dwarf turned his head to find out where the noise came from. I quickly hid behind the block, big enough for me.

I looked to see if it was safe for me to go and cut Y/N's chains.
The coast was clear... sort of.
As soon as I tried to walk to her, a small but sharp dagger pressed against my throat. It was the dwarf.
"Where are you going, petty little prince?" chuckled the dwarf.
"King." I said.
"What?"
"It's King Edmund, actually.'"
I quickly tripped the dwarf. He wasn't able to get up fast enough because of his shrimp-sized arms. I then kicked him and he slid through the ice, into the forest. The crew took care of him.
I snuck behind Y/N's ice block in a fast pace, where her chains were being held.
When she was free, she jumped into my arms. The was trembling. "Oh Ed-" she said, her voice now hoarse.
"Shh.." I caressed her hair and kissed her. "We need to go before they realize you're gone."
"B-but where's Oliver?" she asked.
I quickly but quietly escorted her to the forest. "Im sure he's fine."
Oliver's POV
Sneaking in the cave without suspicion was easy. They all knew who I was and knew I was an ally... I used to be, at least.
I positioned myself in between the waterfall, just behind the White Witch, readied my sword, and was about to swing when the sword swung out of my hand instead.
It was the stupid bat-guy.
"I knew it." said the bat. "I knew we shouldn't have trusted a traitor."
"Your mistake." I said. Trying to grab my sword back.
"What are you gonna do?" asked Bayne. "Betray us?". Bayne was dodging my hand.
"Déjà Vu."
"Indeed." he said. "What about your parents?"
"They wouldn't want me to do what wasn't right." I told him.
"Shame." Bayne said, swinging the sword with his finger. "I thought you were better than this."
"Sorry to disappoint."
Each time I tried to reach for my sword. Bayne would either toss it in the air or pass it from hand to hand.
"Bayne, give me my sword back." I demanded.
"Hm. Okay." he said and pierced the sword right in my leg, and flew off laughing.
I shrieked as the pain shot from my leg and affected the rest of my body. I fell out of balance as my leg bled through my pants like a fountain.
There I was. Helplessly on the ground.

I had a sore throat from all that shouting. My neck was stinging and my voice was hoarse.
We were all waiting behind the bushes for Oliver to break the ice, though it was taking longer than expected.
Bayne then flew out of the cave with a sword in hand. We all watched in anticipation. Was that Oliver's sword? Is he okay?
The bat flew in-front of the frozen waterfall to reach the White Witch's level and he showed her the sword.
Rage filled her face. She tried her best to stay collected as she didn't want to break the only protective surface keeping her in it.
She looked at the blocks of ice where we were chained up and realized we weren't there.
"Where are they?!" she yelled. "!"
The White Witch's crowd quickly turned into a fierce army, ready to attack.
Unfortunately, we didn't have an army prepared for anything, but they were willing to fight.
The White Witch's army and our crew shouted and engaged in battle.
Some of us tried to break the frozen waterfall to get rid of the White Witch, but Everytime we came close, someone pushed us feet away.
The battle was bloody. Many were wounded but still fought.
While the war broke out, I snuck behind the cave to look for Oliver.
There I saw him, lying on the floor on a puddle of blood.
"Oliver!" I ran to his side.
I tore a part of my blouse and tied it on his wound to put pressure.
"O-ow..." he grunted as the tie became tighter each round.
"W-What are you doing here?" he asked. "Y-you should be helping them fight... t-to the death."
"No, Oliver. I'm not leaving you." I said sternly and thought of a way to save him without anyone noticing.
"We need to get you out of here.." I said.
"Y/N, I won't make it."
"For goodness sake, Oliver. You aren't going to die. You've just been impaled, and on the leg. Nothing major."
"Tell Lucy..."
"Wait what?" I said, a smile started to form on my face.
"Wait no... I meant tell my mom... wait my mom's dead... tell my dad...he's dead too.."
"Oh shut up." I giggled. This will be such wonderful news to Lucy.
But what if he doesn't make it?
"Y/N, I need to tell you something..."
If he won't make it then they can't be together!
"Y/N helloooo?"
If he doesn't make it, not only will I lose a friend, but Lucy could lose a potential husband!!!!
"Y/N a war is happening right outside this cave and you're thinking about Lucy's future with me?"
"Oh right. Wait you heard that?"
"You were thinking out loud."
"So what were you going to tell me?".
"How do I say this... it may come as a shock to you and you may start to rethink all your life choices..."
"Uhuh..."
"But you're the Island Princess."
"Wait what? No I'm not."
"Yes you are."
"How do you know?"
"Because the White Witch told me so."
I looked at him funny. Did he just believe what the White Witch said after he told me not to trust her? What an absolute idiot.
"And you actually believe her? Yeah, sure."
"No, Y/N think about it. Has there ever been any event in your life when you made some plant or flower appear without any scientific explanation?"
I started to think. "No, not-"
Then I remembered when I was looking at the dead tree, when I checked it again, moss and flowers were growing on it.
That other time when I was remembering when Edmund and I confessed to each other, I made a rose appear.
"Y-yes... Yes!" I exclaimed.
"Why don't you test it out." suggested Oliver. "Make a flower appear next to me."
"What flower?"
"Actually, make it a bouquet since I'm about to die-"
"Sunflower it is.".
I focused on a random spot on the wall and thought of a sunflower...
"Remember, a bouquet!"
I thought of multiple sunflowers.
Suddenly a green light appeared on the area I was focusing on.
Once it faded, we were able to see about seven sunflowers.
"Whoa..." said Oliver. "You are the Island Princess."
"I... I never knew..." I said as a smile formed on my face.
"Wait, if you're the princess then your mother must've been-"
"The Island Queen!" I exclaimed. It was only a short-lived moment as my smile slowly turned into a frown. It's upsetting how she wasn't able to tell me herself.
The sound of clashing swords made me remember that a war was still breaking outside this cave.
"Edmund!" I exclaimed. "I need to help them!"
"Perhaps you can help the others with your power." suggested Oliver.
"I can.." I said, looking at my hands...
Ready to see what I was capable of.
