Your POV

They harshly dragged the unconscious bodies of my friends around the floor.

When Oliver put me to sleep, I woke up in chains.

In-front of a frozen waterfall and a big, frozen body of water.

Minotaurs, bat creatures, dwarves and even creatures I couldn't understand were all cheering victoriously after our capture.

Lucy, then Susan, Peter and Caspian were carried into the room.

Body after body, I called out each of their names, but not one of them were conscious enough to wake up.

Then they dragged Edmund into the room.

"Edmund! Edmund!" I called out his name, but like the rest, he didn't wake up.

The way they dragged their bodies filled me up with rage. They weren't pigs, they were eople!

"Carry them properly you disgusting fools!" I shouted.

They jerked at my shout and quickly carried them properly.

Were they afraid of me?

"Now, men... she's just a little girl." said a woman's voice.

I turned to my right and saw the image of a pale woman in the waterfall.

Was she the one behind all this?!

Oliver then appeared and walked to her side.

When he saw me, he couldn't look me in the eyes.

My face reminded him of his betrayal, and so did the state of the rest of his 'friends'.

I glared at him.

"Hello, Y/N." greeted the woman softly.

"Who are you?" I asked. "Why are my friends and I in chains?!"

"I'm the White Wi- your queen." She said.

I don't remember them mentioning any kings and queens here. If anyone was the Queen, it would would be Lucy or Susan or maybe even the Island Queen.

"I dont believe you." I said, not lowering my guard.

"It's true..." she said. "I even knew your mother."

What she said immediately got me curious. Was she telling the truth?

"W-what do you mean you knew my mother?" I asked in disbelief. "She's never even been to Narnia!"

"Oh yes she has." said the White Queen. "You can ask her yourself."

My hopes of hearing positive things about my mother dropped. I sighed. Remembering her death made me tear up.

"Well sorry to tell you," I said and sniffed. "But she's dead."

"Oh but you can still talk to her." she said as she turned towards a, weirdly disturbing, man-bat hybrid.

I looked at the bat-guy.

What did she want me to do with... that?

"What am I supposed to do with the bat?" I asked.

The bat's face turned angry. "Not me you idiot!"

"Excuse me!?"

"You heard me!"

"Bayne!" called out the Queen. "Patience."

The bat-man became silent.

He searched under his wing "It's around here somewhere..."

The Queen looked at the bat. "You lost it?!"

"No! No my queen. I put it down somewhere." he said as he searched for the bottle.

"You useless, forgetful bat." she said and kept scolding him about his irresponsibility

I then noticed Oliver sneak to my direction.

I didn't want to talk to him. I didn't trust him.

"Y/N." he whispered. "Y/N!"

"Go away you revolting traitor." I whispered back. "How could you? Look at us."

"Yes I know but-"

"No buts! We trusted you!"

"Y/N I don't have much time-"

"Now you actually have the guts to show up to my face after you-"

He held my shoulders and looked straight into my eyes. "Stall her. But if you really need to drink the bottle, act like you're in a lot of pain. Scream, cry and shout for as long as you can and "

"What are you talking abo-"

"I'll alert the others and I'll break the ice to defeat the White Witch.

"Wow, a lesson about trust. What makes you trustworthy?" I scoffed.

"I didn't chain you up."

"You're the reason why I'm here in the first place. You know, I can't believe that for a split second I was genuinely worried about-"

"Y/N stop being stubborn." he said. "Once I call the others, I'll set you guys free. If I can't break the ice, you will have to do it. Do you understand?"

"But-"

"

"Yes."

"Okay, good."

"Ah! I found it!" said the bat.

When I looked at Oliver, he was already almost out of sight.

He's our last chance. I hope we can trust him this time.

Bayne brought out a bottle with green liquid and faint trails of purple.

"What's that?" I asked as I scanned the bottle. I couldn't take a closer look because I was still chained.

"One drop of this and you will see your mother again." she explained.

"My mother?" I asked.

I want to see her. I want to hug her and apologize. But Oliver's warning echoed through my head. I couldn't trust her.

I have to keep playing along.

"But she's dead..." I said. "Are you saying this is going to... kill me?!"

Gosh Oliver. Your stupid plan better work.

"But you'll get to see your mother again." said the White Witch.

"Y-yeah that sounds so great-!" I said trying to sound excited but was interrupted.

"So are you ready?" asked the Witch.

"Uh- yeah after you tell me... how.... you ended up... in the... ice." I asked. Slowly getting genuinely curious.

"A lion killed me." she answered. "Some of my servants were able to preserve my soul in my Sceptre."

"Wow."

"I could only be revived by the blood of someone royal... or special." she continued. "They tried to revive me in a temple, using Prince Caspian's blood."

"Caspian?"

"Yes." she said. "Unfortunately, it didn't go as planned."

"How terrible."

"They were then able to find a waterfall and froze it for me." she said. "As my power grows, the colder it is and the ice spreads."

"That's so interesting."

For goodness sake where is Oliver

"Yes it is. Now drink." she said. The bat walked closer to me.

"But wait I want to know-"

"Tonight," said the White Witch as she turned around to make a speech for her... supporters. "Tonight I shall be free, thanks to this willing sacrifice."

"We don't have much time!" she whispered. "Take it or take it!"

"Wait, take it or take-"

The bat opened my mouth by force and poured the whole bottle in my mouth.

The liquid trickled down my tongue, into my throat. It tasted sweet... like honey. Loud cheers and applause filled the land.

"If you really need to drink the bottle, act like you're in a lot of pain. Scream, cry and shout for as long as you can and don't stop..."

Flashbacks of Oliver's instructions filled my head.

I started to scream, cry and shout like he instructed.

My cries and screams of fake pain woke my unconscious friends up.

I woke up to the most terrifying sight and sound.

Y/N was screaming and crying, as if she was experiencing all the pain in the world and different creatures entertained by her display of pain.

How disgusting.

It absolutely broke my heart.

"Y/N!" I yelled. Hoping I would catch her attention, but it looked like she was in so much pain, she barely even noticed we were awake.

Unfortunately, my yell caught someone else's attention.

Everyone faced me. The whole crowd the devil herself... The White Witch.

"It's been a long time Edmund." she said. The crowd was silent.

"How are you?"

"Shut up you wicked hag." I spat.

"You see her?" she said, gesturing to Y/N. "How she's crying and yelling for help?"

I tried to run to her but a tight, cold and metal grip held me back. Chains... again.

"No..." I struggled. "NO!"

Her crowd laughed at my failure.

Bruises and scratches formed in my wrists, but it was numb because of the cold. All I cared about was Y/N.

Lucy, Peter, Susan and Caspian also called out her name. They looked just as frightened and as helpless as I was.

We could only watch as the love of my life screamed with agony.

"Pathetic." said the old ice cube as she turned away and continued her speech

Not long after, I felt someone unlocking my chains. It was Oliver.

"Oliver..." I whispered.

Visions of the last night before I slept flashed through my memory.

I had then remembered... It was his fault we were back in the Island!

Instead of thanking him I grabbed him by the shirt.

"You betrayed us." I said angrily.

I remembered I needed to save Y/N. I let Oliver go but he held me back.

"Don't touch me." I said and pushed him away from me. "You're not worth my time."

"Wait no Edmund." He said as he pulled me back. "Y/N is fine. You need to help me unlock the rest of the chains."

"Stop with your nonsense." I said. "Are

you blind and deaf?!"

"It's all part of the plan." he said. "Trust me on this."

"You're asking too much."

"Y/N agreed on this with me" he said. "We don't have much time."

He handed me a sword and gestured to Peter.

I can't believe I'm doing this...
