《FNAF: Mike Schmidt》NIGHT 1

I pulled up to the resteraunt in my ‘98 Camaro and looked at the front.

“Home sweet home.” I mumbled to myself. I walked in and saw my childhood. My friends, standing, motionless on the stage. “Wow, I had a rough childhood.”, I said looking around the dining area. I looked at the photos on the wall. They were pictures of different kids with there friends and then the animatronics behind them. I found one picture in particular quite different. It was a picture of me, standing with my childhood best friend, the guard working the day shift. He was about 6’4, with a stubbly beard and and kind eyes, about 25 years old, and I remembered his voice so vividly, “Hey Mike, ready for another fantastic birthday?”, I then found myself at the Pirate Cove, with a sign that read, “OUT OF ORDER”, I peeked through the curtains to see Foxy, in disrepair, it was then I almost cried, his costume was ripped open at the chest, and his bare endoskeleton was shown at the legs and feet. his jaw was broken, stuck open. I couldn't stay much longer, I hugged him, then exited the curtains and proceeded to go to my new office. Outside my office were two giant metal doors, with lights just outside them. I studied them for a minute, then entered my new office. I found a uniform, a light blue, long sleeved shirt, a hat that had the words “Fazbear Pizza” written on the front, a yellow badge that read, “NIGHT WATCH”, then a name tag, “Schmidt”, I put it on then sat at my desk. I found a remote that controlled the doors and lights, then a monitor that showed security camera footage. i played around with it for a bit, then tested the remote. then the clock struck 12. The phone rang. I picked it up and listened to a message.

“Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about. Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay?”

“Uh, let's see, first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read. Uh, it's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, ‘Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A magical place for kids and grownups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced.’

Blah blah blah, now that might sound bad, I know, but there's really nothing to worry about. Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No. If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too. So, remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and we need to show them a little respect, right? Okay.

So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit.” Wander? ‘Uh, they're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night. Uh...Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long. Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?” I think I remember reading about this in an old newspaper about an old location in the same place.

“Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person. They'll p-most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to...forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit. Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh.” He has to be joking.

“Y-Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up. But hey, first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night.”

I immediatly look at the clock. 2 AM, four more hours. I check the cameras. Everything seems to be in place. “Heh, this isn't so bad, the guard must be pranking me.” I check the kitchen, no picture only audio. “Huh, what the heck.” I said, shaking the monitor in frustration.

“Whatever, lets check the stage and see if any of the animatronics started to wander around a bit.” I said sarcastically. What I saw shocked me. Bonnie was gone. I checked around on the cameras, she had moved into the room right next my office. I took a deep breath and checked the room again. He was gone. I quickly grab the remote and turn the light on in the left hall. There was Bonnie, much scarier than he was in my youth. I yelled then pressed the button that shut the huge metal doors. I breathed a sigh of relief. I then went back to the cameras. I checked on Pirate Cove, Foxy was peeking out of the curtains. “Oh my gosh.” I said, terrified of what's to come. I checked the stage. Chica was gone, but she was still in the dining area. Then I looked at the clock. 5 AM. “Just one more hour Mike, then it’ll all be over.” I mumbled to myself.

Then I heard crashing and banging, then quickly turned on the light outside the door, Chica was staring at me through the window. I jammed on the button until the door closed, a few moments later I checked the stage, all the animatronics were in place. I checked the clock, 6AM, time to leave, I grabbed my stuff and left as fast as I could. then I realized I didn't have my keys. I went back inside and looked in the office, my keys weren't there. I looked in the dining room, not there either. I went onto the stage, and looked at the animatronics. What I saw frightened me. There were my keys, hanging on Freddy’s microphone with a tag on them, and on the tag it said, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE.” I ripped the tag off and ran for my car. I put the keys in the ignition and drove back to my apartment. I went inside my apartment and laid down on my bed. It was then i realized that my childhood dream, had become my biggest nightmare.
