《Shades of Red |Karl Heisenberg x child reader|》Episode 15 || Blueprints

Heisenberg didn't show up again, but everyone else came to visit. A few days went by and they finally cleared me to leave.
My own room was waiting for me.
The room wasn't extraordinary in anyway, but I guess having a real bed was better than back at the factory. That I would never see again...
Taking a quick shower and changing my bandages I pulled on some of the jeans that were in the closet. Most of my cuts had healed quite well, and it surprised me how quickly they did so.
After that I quickly left, wandering aimlessly around the confusing halls.
Earlier the nurse had showed me everyone's rooms, and a bunch of important places around the base.
My favorite was definitely the mess hall.
Not only did the place smell almost as good as the Duke's food, but the tables had a view of the garden outside. A plethora of plants sprouted fruits and vegetables, while a handful of people walked calmly around with baskets, harvesting the best looking plants I've ever seen.
There were only a few people sitting around but the place buzzed with activity. I walked up to the line and picked up a tray.
"What'll it be? I've got the best food on this half of the globe!"
"Um... can I just get a little of everything. If that's okay..."
The burly man behind the counter took my tray. His apron covered in flour.
"Sure thing. Wouldn't want you missing out on something... Here you go, hope you enjoy!"
I nodded a thanks before heading off to one of the empty tables. They weren't very comfortable but the view of the garden was mesmerizing.
My plate was almost completely full, covered in about two dozen different dishes.
It didn't take long for me to get full. The tray wasn't even halfway empty.
I took a glance around the room as some of the people eating got up and left. They looked like they were going to be sick.
"(Y/N)!" Moreau hurried over and sat with me. "How are you feeling?"
"Hey Moreau... yeah I'm fine. Do you want this? I'm stuffed."
Hesitantly he took the plate before immediately diving into it.
"How have you been? And everyone else... is everyone okay? Donna? Angie?"
I scratched the back of my neck. Looking around the whole room was just about empty. Leaving the place almost silent.
He looked up from the near empty plate. "I think everybody's fine! Donna got help yesterday and they made sure she was okay..." His face twisted, "I don't like this place. People make fun of me..."
I reached over and rested my hand on his cloak. It looked like he was given a brand new one. "Hey, it's gonna be okay. We're only going to he here for a little bit and I promise if they every try to pick on you again I'll help."
A small smile crossed his face before he slowly got up and took the tray. I followed after him, stopping next to the food counter.
"I'll catch up later!" I called after him, with a small wave he turned around the corner and I turned back to the chef. "Could I get another tray of everything, please? I wanna give it to someone..."
The chef nodded before giving me a full tray. I carried it slowly down the halls, and knocked on the door.
A small gruff come in came from behind the door. With a bit of struggle I opened it.

Heisenberg was leaned over on a small table, the lights off except for a desk lamp. Blueprints and drawings layed scattered around the room, and I swear he smelled worse then normal.
"I brought you something... well multiple things. The food isn't as good as the Duke's but it's pretty good..."
He didn't even turn as I walked in.
I set the tray down next to him, moving paper out of the way to do so.
The sheet was covered in numbers I didn't understand. Multiple drawings, diagrams, and floor plans littered the paper.
"Is... is this a castle? What are you making?"
"Nothing. I mean... uhhg I'm trying to make my home again. I mean... our home, all of us. That's Dimitrescu castle. Over there is a new Reservoir for Moreau. I'm working on Donna's... and on the bed is, um it's the factory."
A small smile crept up on my face. "You wanna go back?"
"Oh I- yeah... I guess, we'll it was my home and I wanted to do something nice for everyone, but if they don't wanna go back they don't have to."
I fell back on his unmade bed, which I was surprised he slept in at all. Papers crinkled under my back.
"When was the last time you took a shower? And slept? And... I dont know, left this room?"
He laughed a little before leaning back in the office chair.
"Ehh haven't been keeping track. I fell asleep on the desk earlier though so I'm fine."
"You're a mess."
"I get that a lot... but umm... can you help me with something? I need to kind of see if everyone is on board with going back to the village, and fixing it up, and also see if like maybe Ethan and his family and everyone would help... if that makes sense."
I sighed. It made sense but also he would never be able to convince anyone to help him with his rambling.
"Take a shower and eat. Then we can go talk to everyone."
He nodded and got up from his chair.
"Kid I- thanks... you know for everything."
I didn't really know what he was thanking me for. Getting him food? That didn't really make sense but I nodded and left the room.
"I'll be in my room when you're done. We'll convince them don't worry."
It wasn't that far to my room but the mirrored hallways made it seem like I was walking for ever.
|Time Skip|
I got of my bed as a knock on the door filled the silence. Heisenberg was standing in the doorway, stacks of blueprints in hand. Water staining the pages from his wet hair.
"I don't really know who to go to first..."
I pushed pushed past him out the door and pulled him down the hall. "We're going to Alcina's room, I haven't seen her or the girls very much and I'm sure it'll be an easy yes."
I layed a light knock on the door. It didn't take long for her to answer.
Slowly, she stepped back letting us in, surprisingly the room was tall enough for her. Alcina had a pair of dark slacks and and a white blouse with puffed sleeves, instead of her normal dress.
"Mother, who is it?" One of the girls called from another part of the room.
I peaked around the corner into the large room. It had a living room area with huge bookcases and two couches. The girls layed sprawled out reading.

"(Y/N)! Heisenberg!" All three of them sat up, books forgotten. They looked at home here.
"Hey girls... how're the books?" Heisenberg asked as he sat down on the edge of the couch.
I wasn't really listening as they responded, I was more shocked about how everyone looked.
The girls were wearing large sweatshirts with their jeans. The normal blood staining their face was gone. They all looked like regular teenagers.
"So, Karl, to what do I owe the pleasure of this... meeting?"
He shifted on the side of the couch. The blueprints stuffed so far into his chest I thought they would disappear.
"Well... um, I was thinking and you know how much I like to do that-"
"Get to the point." Alcina said hands on her hips.
"Oh, well I want to go back to the village, and I wanna rebuild everything or make everything new. But I wanted to ask if you wanted to help me. I mean you don't have to if you don't want but..."
One of his hands ran through his still wet hair, the other handed over the new blueprints of Dimitrescu castle. Another paper also looked like the blueprints for building layouts of the village.
"Really? We're gonna go back?" Dani asked over the back of the couch, I couldn't tell if she hated the idea or loved it.
"I mean you guys don't have to but I thought I would ask..."
He looked at me, the room silent.
"We wanted to go back. Rebuild the village. Make it a home for everyone, so we can be a family."
A small smile crept up on his face as I talked, it looked like he was going to cry.
Alcina shuffled through the papers, her brow nit together tightly.
"Karl, I dont love some of these layouts... but I would love to help. I'll help you rebuild the village and make it better than what Miranda every could dream of."
"Oh and we'll help too! Even though it's cold most of the time..." Cass said, as she pulled Karl into a hug.
All three of the girls wrapped around him, in a giant group hug.
I couldn't see his face completely but he was definitely crying now.
"Have you talked with anyone else, yet?"
Since we couldn't see him anymore I shook my head, continuing the conversation.
"We came to you guys first. I'm thinking we go to Donna than Moreau. Besides I want to see... how Angie's doing."
Alcina nodded, "Girls give him some room. You wouldn't want to kill him before he deserves it."
The three girls pulled away. Dani messing up his hair as she made her way back to the couch.
"So... I guess we should get going. We have a lot of people to talk to. Maybe even Ethan and his family." Carefully, I took the blueprints from Alcina.
Karl nodded and stood, wipping his face not very gracefully.
"Yeah... we have a lot to do."
We were almost out the door when he turned back.
"Thank you Alcina. I will make your castle better than you could ever imagine. I promise." He said with a small smile.
I pulled him out into the hallway and shut the door before he could start crying again. He looked like a mess and I wondered if we should take a break before going to see Donna.
"Alright... that went better than I expected. Who's next?"
With the first stop out of the way he didn't seem as nervous. He even led the way down the hall. I'm not sure he knew where Donna's room was though, because I had to keep giving him directions.
As soon as we got to the door, he was a different person again. A nervous wreck.
I gave him a pat on the back, not really sure how to ease his nerves, and motioned to the door.
With a deep breath him knocked.
Donna opened the door only slightly until she saw us.
She was probably the only one who looked the same. Donna wore a black dress like the last one, making me believe she had made it herself.
Without a word she opened the door and let us in.
Angie sat on the edge of the small bed.
"Oh! Look who it is!" Her small face looked the same except for the red thread that weaved acrost the seams.
"Hey, Angie." I gave a little wave, which felt kinda stupid.
Donna walked silently over and picked Angie up. Sitting her over her lap, the same way I've seen her do so many times. This time, though, it seemed she was almost scared to touch her.
"So, um Donna, Angie... I just talked to Alcina and the girls and they wanted to, but like you don't have to if you don't want to... well I just-" He handed over the blueprints, this time of a house-"We are gonna go back to the village and rebuild everything and make it better."
The room was silent except for the pages shuffling.
"Ooooh! This is bigger than last time! I get my own rooms and look at your room! I wanna live here!"
We all looked at Donna who nodded sheepishly, not wanting all the attention.
Heisenberg seemed like he wanted to cry again but somehow kept it inside.
"Thank you... I won't let you down I'll make the best house ever, whatever you two want."
He shuffled around where he stood, looking kinda uncomfortable.
"Just hug already!" Angie blurted out obviously noticing their weird energy too. She jumped out of Donna's lap clearing the way for a hug.
He opened his arms and Donna hesitantly embraced him.
He whispered something under his breath, that made her looked like she wanted to cry.
"That's enough! Get out you're stinking up the place, old man!"
Angie pushed both of us out giving a wave, almost slamming the door behind us.
I wanted to ask about what he said but he had already walked down the hall, clearly wanted to leave the conversation closed.
"Alright, we only have Moreau and the Winters left... we can do this."
He sighed as we got to Moreau's door. Knocking quickly without having time to change his mind.
I heard a small voice behind the door, before Moreau opened it. His face looked slightly confused, but than smiled and let us in.
The place was surprisingly clean. Bed made nicely and the air smelled like caramel.
"Woah... um Moreau are you sure this is your room?"
I didn't blame Karl for asking, I was about to ask the same thing.
"Oh... yes. The nice ladies came to clean it for me. I feel bad when they come though and it's a mess."
He motioned for us to sit down. The room had a miniature living room with a couch and two small chairs.
"There isn't much to do here, nowhere to swim..."
"We were just coming to talk to you about that-" I motioned for Karl to continue.
He handed the blueprints over and sat down in the middle of the couch.
"We already talked to Donna and Angie, and Alcina and the girls, but we wanted to talk to you about it as well. Anyways we are gonna go back to the village and rebuild it and make it better than before-"
Moreau cut him off before he finished "Really! Oh yes! I get to have my precious water back!"
I smiled a little at that.
"Well that settles it than. Everyone is going. I mean we haven't talked to the... Winters yet, but everyone else is on board."
Moreau stood quickly and rushed over to Heisenberg, giving him a big hug.
I could see it was a bit unexpected from the look on Heisenberg's face but after a second he embraced in a kind of side hug.
"Alright, Moreau... We would love to stay but we have to go talk to Ethan and his family about staying too."
Slowly he removed himself from Moreau's hug and we backed towards the door.
"Yeah we'll see you later! Maybe we can build in a theater so we can have movie nights together!"
A giant grin covered his face as he closed the door behind us.
Everyone wanted to go back to the village, to rebuild and make it their home again.
Heisenberg had a small smile on his face, from what I couldn't tell, as he led me down the hall. This was our final stop. The Winter's room.
