《Shades of Red |Karl Heisenberg x child reader|》Episode 2 || Melting Metal

I was dragged off down the large hallways by the three girls, who introduced themselves on the way as Cassandra, Daniela, and Bela. It took only a couple of minutes to get to the dressing room, but it felt like forever because the place was so big.

"So, how old are you?" Cassandra asked picking out peices of fabric.

"I think I'm about um... nine. Yep, nine." I stopped to look at the girls rushing around me. "All of you are very pretty."

A series of awws and thank yous came from the girls but only Daniela spoke back.

"It's just what happens when you get older" She was looking at herself in the mirror, while the other girls worked around her.

I looked off at all the dresses that were hanging. None of them would fit me, nor anything Heisenberg had... Unless I grew. Nothing bad happens when I grow up so why don't I?

None of the girls were watching me, so if I did grow out of my clothes, which I probably won't, I could just hide and nobody would see me.

I took a deep breath and focused all my energy outward. My clothes started to fit correctly and I grew a little taller. Everything felt better. Like I was supposed to look like this.

A gasp erupted from one of the girls as they all stared back at me. I looked down making sure my clothes were still intact, and luckily they were. When I looked back up Dani was flying out of the room in a swarm of bugs. The other two were focused on me.

I sat there awkwardly as we waited for Dani to get back, presumably with the Lady Dimitrescu and Heisenberg.

Finally the three of them entered. Dani flew in, as a swarm of bugs. Lady D had to crouch down about three feet, and Heisenberg just walked in.

"Well, this is unexpected. I still doubted Heisenberg was telling the truth." Lady Dimitrescu was circling me while the others stood of to the side.

"I told you! This bitch can age on command." Heisenberg was waving his hammer around trying to prove his point.

"You're the only bitch here." I said

The girls gasped and shuffled away, but I swear I heard Lady Dimitrescu chuckle.

"And I told you not to say that!"

"No, you told me 'don't say fucking' because I was a child and obviously I'm not a child anymore. So suck it."

Lady D started laughing at that, which caused her daughters to relax a little. I could tell I was getting on Heisenberg's nerves and honestly it was amusing to watch.

"If your not a child anymore, how old are you?"

"Uh... I don't know, like sixteen? Yeah, I'm gonna go with sixteen." I fell back and made myself comfortable on the seat. "What else would ya like to know?"

Everyone looked around at each other before Lady Dimitrescu spoke up.

"Is there anything else that you can do? Or is it just aging?" I thought about it for a minute, before I remembered about the tests and trials that Mother Miranda put me through.

"Yeah I can do other things. Hey metal man, give me your hammer. Oh and a pencil." He looked at me like I was crazy.

"No. You already got my hat I'm not giving you my hammer too." He held it protectively in his arms like it was a child. Though now that I think about it he isn't really great with children...

I sighed and made myself comfortable. "Fine, if you don't give me the hammer you won't get your hat back. Ever. And I won't show you what I can do." I pulled the hat down over my eyes and pretended to sleep, while he made his decision.

"Ughh, fine. You win again, bitch. Here's my hammer, now give me back my hat."

I sat up quickly with a victorious smile playing on my lips. He pulled the hat off my head and thrust his hammer into my hands. It was heavier than I expected but that wouldn't change anything.

"I need a pencil. And you as well." I pointed to Heisenberg. He sighed and walked over with a pencil in his hand.

I got to work measuring where his fingers were when he held the hammer. Marking the spots with small lines. The pencil hardly wrote on the cool metal, but it was still slightly visible.

The fingers on my right hand heated up, as I held the hammer with my left. Soon my fingers were a bright red color, hot enough to melt the metal.

It only took a couple minutes to fully melt out the grooves in the hammer. Though when I finished everyone was sweating except me, I was just utterly exhausted.

The heat barely bothered me at all, but I had accidentally warmed the air from 23° to 30° Celsius.

"That's cool and all, but can we leave. I'm burning up." Bela spoke up already heading to the door. Everyone followed her except Heisenberg. He was standing there staring at me.

I left him standing there as I sluggishly ran to catch up with the daughters.

"That was so cool! The way you just melted his hammer, with your hands!" Cass was still talking about it even after we got all the way back to the main hall, and Heisenberg still hadn't caught up to us.

"I have to say, Mother Miranda was not wrong. Heisenberg will find much use for you."

I know that that was supposed to be a compliment from lady Dimitrescu, but I couldn't help but to feel awful. I hated having my future and actions monitored by these so called lords.

Finally Heisenberg caught up to us. He was still holding his hammer tightly in his hands, but his eyes held a new found excitement.

Slowly he pulled Lady Dimitrescu off to the side. I couldn't hear what either of them were saying but Heisenberg was definitely doing most of the talking. Finally both of them came back over.

"You're company has been greatly enjoyed, though I am afraid your visit has come to a close. My daughters and I have a small invitation to attend to."

I saw some confused looks from the daughters, but they eventually quieted down and led us to the main door.

"Come visit again soon!" Dani yelled waving.

"Don't forget we're here if you ever need better clothes." yelled Bela, who was peaking out from behind her sisters.

Cassandra tried to run after me until the two sisters held her back, after that she just waved.

I walked slowly behind Heisenberg, down the hallways of the factory. He seemed to have a new purpose in life, one that suspiciously involved me...

He grabbed my wrist and pulled me along faster.

"Come on, we have work to do. You ruined my project earlier so you're gonna make it up to me." He pulled me into a side room, which I recognized as his workplace.

The metal monster that he was working on earlier, laid sprawled out on the table in peices.

"Umm, what is this? Also what do you expect me to do with your scrap metal?" He pulled two chairs up to the workbench and sat down.

"First take a seat. All I need you to do is use your melty hands, and weld some metal together."

I walked over to the table to examine the scraps. Most of them were about the size of a small dinner plate, but the peices nearest the monster were the size of a car door.

"I SAID SIT!"

Heisenberg stood up from his seat just to push me back into mine.

My right shoulder slammed into the backrest of the metal chair with a loud thump, causing me to wince. Heisenberg didn't seem to notice my pain though.

"Just do as you're told and we will be done in no time."

He pulled out a pad of paper and a pencil from his belt and started mumbling to himself. While I held my shoulder tenderly and shrunk back into my chair.

It didn't seem like he needed my help at the moment so I started to get a better look around the room. A small radio, that looked like it came from the 70s, sat solemnly on the table. I decided to try and get a station to play.

Surprisingly the radio started playing, and by the looks of it Heisenberg new the song.

He handed me a peice of scrap metal about double the size of my hands.

"Melt these three sides, until they are malleable. Then weld that peice onto his back, right above the reactor." He said this as if it were easy. Last time I almost passed out from the amount of energy it took.

I sighed, and started heating my left hand. I didn't want to move my right arm, in fear I would hurt my aching shoulder, so it hung loose by my side.

The temperature sat at 53° Celsius as we finished the project. I was exhausted and barely managing to keep my eyes open. Heisenberg sat hunched over the machinery, sweat dripping off his brow.

"Weld these peices together and we'll finally be done."

I took the metal in my right hand, because my shoulder didn't hurt anymore, and started to heat it. Heisenberg sat wiping his forehead as I started hammering the metal pieces together. My hands were shaking from exhaustion making the process longer.

Finally the peices were hammered together and I set down the tools. Heisenberg got up and ushered me out the door.

I got up quickly and made my way to the door only to fall back to my knees.

"What are you doing, get up."

My vision started to get blurry as I pulled myself back up. Most of my weight was supported by the door frame but my legs still felt weak. I started to continue walking, but I tripped over my own feet and landed onto the floor again.

I heard a sigh above me so I rolled over onto my back. Heisenberg was leaning over me.

"You're kind of pathetic. Though I do remember going through something like this. Don't worry, it won't be as hard the more you use your abilities."

He bent over and helped me up. I thought he was just going to help me walk, but instead he picked me up and threw me on his shoulder.

He said I was pathetic, and I definitely believed that. Especially since I was dangling weakly over his shoulder, slipping in and out of consciousness.

Pathetic
