"Layla." Jack calls from behind me.

Fucks sake.

Why does he keep following me?!

I turn around. Raising a brow, trying to push back the raging anger.

He stops in front of me and smiles and I frown. "What do you want Jack?" I let out a breath.

He opens his mouth but closes it. I wait for a bit, then roll my eyes, turning around and walking again.

"Wait!" he calls out and I ignore, continuing to walk.

I feel him grab my wrist and I pull away harshly.

"WHAT?"

He takes a step back, surprised from my outburst.

"I just... want to say I'm sorry." He mutters in a low voice.

I sigh. "It's fine." I nod. Forcing a smile, before walking away.

"I was just fourteen and..." He trails off. I stop in my tracks.

"I had a bit of a crush on Heidi." He mutters.

I press my lips in a thin line. "I understand."

"But when I saw what they did to you, my liking towards her was gone."

Clenching my jaw, I turn around.

"Really?"

He nods.

"Bull fucking shit." I growl. His eyes widen and he opens his mouth.

"You saw me more hurt than Heidi, yet you went to her and helped her, when she just had a fucking measley scrape on her elbow." My voice raises slightly and I take a deep breath.

I watch as guilt fills his eyes. He takes a step towards me, but I take a step back.

"She called me a bitch. What did you fucking say after?" I growl.

He remains quiet.

"What. Did. You. Fucking. Say. After." I raise my voice again.

He still doesn't speak and I scoff.

"You aren't sorry. Otherwise you wouldn't lie to me." my lips begin to tremble, and I push the tears inside.

I laugh humourlessly.

"You seemed so nice when I met you." I shake my head. "But you're just a fucking two-faced prick."

Hurt fills his eyes and I turn around.

"Why are you really talking to me? Is it because Heidi left? So you need me to keep you guys connected?"

"No, I just–" his voice comes out quickly, but I cut him off.

"Okay." My voice cracks. "Bye." I walk away, thankfully he doesn't follow and then I enter my class, late.

~~~~~~~~
"We should have a girls out." Cara tells me over the music and chatter of the boys behind us.
"Um..sure." I reply, as I make a right turn.
I'm not supposed to be driving until I'm eighteen but I've secretly been practicing with Donald and he's letting me use his car.
I park against Donald's curb, but press the brake too hard by accident, causing it to jolt.
"Sorry!" I squeak, looking at Cara.
"You idiot!" She shrieks and I laugh, shrugging and turning around to look at Kaleb and Donald.
Both unaffected and glued to their boring conversation.
"Guys." I call out to them, they both look at me, questioningly.
"I think I scraped the car.." I lie to get them out quickly.
"WHAT?!" Donald bellows.
He jumps off the car immediately, along with Kaleb.
Donald's eyes wander all over the car and when he sees there's nothing, he growls. I chuckle, opening the window.
"The joke is on you. I knew you were trouble when you walked in. So shame on you, took me–"
"Alright. I get it." He cuts me off.
"Now you're lying on the cold hard ground. Oh. Oh. Trouble, trouble–"
"You are so annoying. I swear." He cuts me off with a roll of his eyes.
"Love you too." I say, and he wrinkles his nose, causing me to laugh.
"Anyways me and Cara are having a girls outting. See y'all later." I wave.
"Whatever." He grumbled as I pull out of the curb.
I look at the rear-mirror, and see Donald's middle finger poking upwards towards me.
Bitch.
~~~~~~~~~~

There's nothing In my size!" I growl.

We're currently in our first shop.

"There were plenty in your size!"

"They're all ugly though! Why can't there be my sizes in those!" I complain, pointing at the pile in her basket.

Then looking at my oversized shirt and trousers that I'm wearing.

Ugh everything I have is big I just want something that actually fits me for once!

"There must be something you like!"

"Ugh.." I rub my forehead in annoyance. "I'm tired..." and jealous.

Why couldn't I be a size 8 instead of a stupid 4!

Cara rolls her eyes. "You always say that, now c'mon let's go upstairs to the kids section."

"Uh...why?" I frown.

"There might be something cute for you up there."

Seriously...

I sigh. "Fine, but I'm not going on the escalators." I point at it.

Rolling her eyes she grabs my arm and starts walking.

"Uh Cara...what- No NO NOO NOOO-"

"Oh yes." she cuts me off, smirking, I try to pull away, but her grip is strong and she continues to drag me, until we reach the escalators.

"Can we just go to the elevator?" I ask, staring at the escalators in fright.

She rolls her eyes. "Quit acting like a kid so we can go up to the kids section!" She screeches.

I scowl, she pushes me on the escalators and in instinct, I grasp her arm while my other grips the railing.

I'm really afraid of heights.

I probably look like a 12 year old from behind. I crane my neck and see many eyes on me and I gulp, turning back.

When we get near to the top, I start to panic.

I quickly let go of Cara, and run up and off the escalators.

I wait for Cara, and when she reaches to the top, she rolls her eyes, and I smile sheepishly, before she leads me to the kids section.

Gosh. This is embarrassing...

"Uh so what kind of clothes did you want to get for your neice?" I ask, loudly.

She laughs "I don't know, why don't you choose." she winks.

"Hmm sure. If you insist."

~~~~~~~
"They're all childish!" I scowl, huffing.
"You haven't even looked properly!" She scolds, before she continues to look.
"How about this?" She lifts up a black hoodie with white laces.
"It's twenty pounds."
I shrug. "Okay." I grunt, carelessly.
She rolls her eyes. "Okay what size?"
"Probably 11-12" I grunt. and she sniggers.
"Okay." she picks up the size and places it in my basket.
A while later she picks up another thing.
"How about this?" she lifts up a long khaki coloured jacket that ended just below my butt.
"Uhuh." I nod and she places it in my basket.
We enter our car after hours more in different shops, and we stuff a load of bags in the boot of Donald's car, before entering.
"Get something to eat?" I turn to Cara.
"Of course." she sighs, tiredly.
I drive off. Soon we arrive and I stop my engine, and we both get out. We enter the small restaurant and see it's full of people.
We join the extremely long queue and I take a look around, before turning forward, sighing.
"This is going to take years." I grunt, rubbing my forehead tiredly.
A deep chuckle is heard from behind. "Or maybe just ten minutes."
I shrug. "Maybe.." I crane my neck to the side and my eyes widen.
Shit.
