《Here comes Teddy》The condescending girlfriend (Fourteen)

Fuck!, how can a place that you learn work skills and shit from hurt your fucking head so fucking much?!, even to this day, just thinking about my time at college hurts my fucking poor head.

At the time I was thankful that Maddie was there with me doing this engendering course, because otherwise I wouldn't have been able to complete my course work on my own.

So it was after our day at college was done, we were outside and shit, walking, you know, like normal people would, or in our case, like normal couples would, minding our own business.

"Hey Teddy, it looked like you were falling asleep in there"

"No I wasn't, my fucking head hurts Mads"

"Ahh, you poor did-dims"

"I thought that girlfriend's weren't supposed to be condescending towards their boyfriend's?"

"Woah, be careful there Addams, you're starting to go into double digits with that word there Theodore"

"Theodore huh, since when the fuck have you called me fucking Theodore?"

"Since now, duh"

"Well then don't call me that Mads, because I'm not particularly fond of the name, hence the nickname Teddy, you know"

"What time do you need to pick up Rowan from school?"

"In about a half an hour or so"

"I'll leave you to it then"

"Ok"

That was Maddie and my last civil conversation as a couple, because the following day she asked about having kids, to which I said, 'I don't know how us having a child would affect our relationship', you know, like a mature adult would when it's called for, but she then called me a 'fucking bastard that lead her on' which I didn't because I never said that I wanted another kid, and so that's when I broke us up, because I wasn't going to take that shit, especially when I was only being fucking reasonable.

Half an hour later (after I had lost some of my will to live).

The only thing about the waiting at the school gates that I ever 'liked' was leaning on it, but I got over it so that I could pick my daughter up from school.

Ro ran up to me to give me a hug, and so I lifted her up into my arms, because I really needed a hug that day since college was shit, to be perfectly honest with you, I'm surprised I lasted the academic year in college, especially when Brittney's Mum was the fucking tutor for the course.

"Hi Baby, did you have a good day today?"

"Yes I did"

"That's good, so, what did you learn today Sweetheart?"

"I can count to twenty Daddy!"

"You can count to twenty!, what a clever girl you are, I guess that makes you my clever girl"

"(Giggles), did you have a good day today Daddy?"

"It was alright Buba, though it's better now that you're here"

"(Giggles), don't be silly Daddy"

"I'm not being silly, I promise you that I'm being serious Baby"

"Can we please go home now Daddy?"

"Yeah Baby girl, we can go home now"

So I started walking to the train station, so that we could take the train we needed to take to go home, because using the roads in London was a fucking nightmare, then we got onto the train and actually found a seat, (which was surprising because of all the people collecting their kids from school).

"Daddy"

"Yes Sweetie"

"Can we go see Nana tonight?"

"If you want to Baby"

"Ok Daddy"

"(Kisses cheek), Can you show me how you count to twenty Buba?"

"Ok, one, two, fwee, fouw, fife, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eweven, twelve, fiwteen, fouwteen, fifteen, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, nineteen, twenty!"

"Well done Baby, I'm so proud of you Sweetheart"

"You pwoud of me Daddy?"

"Yes Darling, I'm very proud of you"

The rest of the train ride home was pretty uneventful, Ro was just babbling about her day at school, and I was realising that time was already slipping away from me, but I pushed that thought away from my mind because dowelling on what has passed you already is never actually a good idea.

So we got home, took our stuff off and ate Dinner, as ya do, when Mum dropped a massive bombshell.

"So I have an announcement"

"Is this a child friendly announcement or what?"

"Why wouldn't it be child friendly Teddy?"

"To be fair to Teddy, you once thought that talking about the birds and the bees to us at 7 was a good idea"

"Ok, ok, ok Georgie, I get it, so now that we pointed that out, I want to get back on track"

"Go on"

"Your Dad and I are married again"

"What the fuck?!, you're shitting me?!"

"I'm not Teddy"

"Are you stupid?"

"Apparently she is Georgie"
