《His Tiger (Jasper Hale Fanfic)》My Favorite

After following the small group for about three boring minutes, the sound of a branch breaking resonated through the trees.
Getting closer, I discovered the caramel haired woman with a heart shaped face seated on the ground and surrounded by wolves.
Out of the entire family, she was one of my favorites. Her motherly ways made me mourn what I had always wanted, a mother who cared. And since she cared, I cared also.
The hunting party noticed her on the ground just as a wolf launched itself at her. I didn't even have to think twice as I was already in mid jump and took the wolf down by the scruff of its neck.
A quick glance behind me gifted me their faces frozen in shock.
'Now is not the time' I reminded myself as I motioned for them to go with my big head just as a different wolf attacked me.
The woman's eyes welled with unshed tears, but she let her husband grab her hand and run with her.
I threw the rust colored wolf off and growled deeply at the alpha. I wanted him to know I was an alpha too and I was not to be messed with.
When my message was clear to him, he ordered his pack to back off and to say I was glad was an understatement. I didn't want to have to kill any of them.
Turning on my heel, I ran back to the Cullen house where I hoped they were safe.
*Esme POV*
"When that tiger saved me after I fell out of that tree, I could have sworn it had this knowing gleam in its eye. It was like it knew who I was." I explained to the family.
Their faces contorted in deep thought before Bella gasped, her hand flying to her stomach.

After determining it was no false alarm, she was picked up and swiftly escorted to Carlisle's office.
The smell of blood become the newest limited edition candle as the sound of a heartbeat became faint.
Rosalie was the first to descend the stairs while holding a tiny, wiggling bundle. Edward followed soon after with grave news we had all been anticipating. The wolves thought Bella was dead and they knew that the baby had been born. The wolves were on their way and they were going to try to kill us and the little child we were blessed with.
And as we all went to stand in a line outside to wait for the wolves, I prayed the tiger would come again.
