《Murder of the Three Dead Men》Owl
Advertisement
Why would an owl make a man who formerly firmly believed in everything created by man except for god suddenly turn his cheek to all his beliefs and suddenly be a believer of all gods? The owl itself was normal but what was inscribed inside its outstretched wings was beyond coincidence. Inscribed in the owl was his last name, Moray. Zack Moray had spent his summer reading books on the owl. It was in one book he found that a cavern had the owl etched on one of the stalactites. He had gone and found this to be true. It was this unfortunate day that an earthquake struck and Zack Moray had died. He had been struck in the head by a stalagtite and was covered in rubble when they picked him out of the cavern. Zack awoke on the way to the hospital. He was disoriented and the trauma the cave in had left a mark in his brain. It was kindled with all the noises of the ambulance and the mark spread and he was left with multi personality disorder. The sounds and voices mixed together into one thought, the words of the gods. He needed to stop feeling the pain he felt mentally and physically. With one swift move he picked up a scalpel and killed the people in the ambulance. He drove the automobile to the middle of the woods and abandoned it. He found a house near London and killed its inhabitants. He began a job in Scotland Yard but a few months later Casper Flux made his claim to fame in a murder case. When Casper and Zach had met Casper had seen through Zach right away and was about to make a public announcement about it, when Zack disappeared and shortly after killed Casper's three closest friends. These three friends Casper had met at Cambridge along with Zack. Zack had thought it hard to kill Lance, after all they were very close friends. Raz had been somewhat easier to kill but he still felt guilty. He had kept reminding himself. Of the feeling of no pain. His body was in agony and his mind in torment. If he could feel normal again. Whatever the secret held one thing was sure, it would releive his pain. After all this time the agony still lingered and he had made no further progress in his research. After killing Raz for the "second time" he had lost confidence in his search. What was worse was that Casper Flux wasn't stupid and would figure out who he was. He needed to be relieved of his unbarable pain and he would kill many more if that's what it took. He stood at the window and went silently into the night.

Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.

Deliverance : an adaption of Jane Eyre
This is one of those 'what if' adaptations. I've always wondered why Mr Rochester had to be broken so thoroughly before he could be happy with Jane Eyre. What if she had not been able to get away, what if he had been waiting by her door a second time, pleading her to stay? Would she indeed have lost herself and been made his mistress?
