Thoth was a man of enormous hate. He hated people. Why in particular had he gone after Raz Saymone, Jaten Fray and Lance Acing. They were all different ethnicities and lived far apart from each other spread out across Europe.

It all started 2 years before he attempted to murder them. While studying in Cambridge he had struck a close relationship with Lance. One word to describe Lance was professional. Lance nor Thoth had taken part in any parties, thinking them a stupid waste of time. They spent hours upon hours studying. It was upon one of these long hours of studying when Thoth had found a book which interested him. This book interested him mostly because every time he looked up from it Lance was staring at it. The book was about ancient Egyptian words. He had gotten to the end when a little old scrap of parchment caught his eye. Before he could grab it though Lance had pounced upon the book and was holding it. Thoth let go of the book but not before tearing the little piece of paper inside. Later by moonlight he read the torn paper. It read,"The light of the words which bring to you the power of the gods lay-" the paper cut off there. Thoth was a smart man and did not beileve in gods or demons. It wasn't the words which moved him into recognizing gods but it was the symbol below which stuck him into sudden reverence. On the page below stood an owl.
