《Distraction》Look what you made me do...

"I'm picking up an extra shift at the diner tonight...do you think you could, drop me off?" You chew on your lower lip anxiously as you look up at Bucky, your thumbs twiddling together.
"Of course I will, but why the extra shift?" Bucky frowns at you with nothing but concern.
You shrug "I needed the distraction"
Bucky gives you a sad smile and put an arm over your shoulder.
He drops you off at the diner and you take a deep breath before getting out of the car.
"I'll pick you up at 8" Bucky gives you a reassuring nod and a smile before driving away and you instantly shiver without him around. He had been tour comfort for the last four days, he had surrounded himself with you and you with him, he had taken you in and shows you nothing but kindness. You would never be able to repay him for that.
As you step inside the diner your stomach immediately dropped. You saw Steve and Peggy at the exact same booth that was yours, Bucky and Steve's. The same booth you all sit in after closing time to have your milkshakes, the very same booth that last week you were having a good fight in.
Peggy immediately notices you, Steve doesn't. You can see the cogs working in Peggy's mind, she instantly leans over the booth to Steve, giving him full access to her cleavage, before whispering who knows what in his ear, but Steve's face said it all. His cheeks instantly turned rosey and you could see him shuffling in his seat. You felt nauseous just watching the pair of them.
You blink back the tears and take a gulp, you head over into the kitchen where Lucy and the chef's were slaving away.

She hands you two milkshakes, one vanilla and one strawberry. "Table 9" Lucy smiles sadly and your heart pounds.
"I...I can't.."
"I'm sorry Daisy. There's nobody else, we're packed"
You sniffled a little and looked down at the milkshakes. Strawberry was your flavour. So not only was Peggy stealing the man you were in love with but she was also copying your exact order.
You escorted yourself to the booth and plonked the milkshakes down on the table harshly. Making Peggy scoff at you.
"You spilt some!" She points to the slight drop running down her glass.
"What're you doing here?" Steve immediately pants out. His eyes were wide with nothing but fear, it was the first time he had seen you since you confessed your feelings for him.
"I work here, you should know that" You try to speak as confident as possible but yo if voice cracks and you look down. Not baring to make eye contact with him.
"You don't normally work a Thursday..." Steve shakes his head in disbelief.
"What do you care?" Peggy immediately frowns at Steve. Making you infuriated.
"I just..uh..."
"If you're going to try and do things behind my back Steve, I suggest finding a better hiding spot" you turn to walk away but Steve reaches out and grabs your arm. His touch immediately warmed your skin and goosebumps lined the outskirts of his hand.
As you quickly turned back around you knocked Peggy's drink over. Making it tip all over her, she lets out a loud shriek and stands up. Causing a chaotic and over dramatic scene. You look at Steve and he looks at you. You try not to laugh but you can see the desperation of Steve's lips curling.
"What's going on here?" Lucy approaches you all and your smile fades within a second.

"It was an accident..." You say quickly. Which, it actually was.
"It was NOT!" Peggy announces. Stomping her foot on the floor like a spoilt brat.
"Daisy just couldn't help herself, she's jealous and took it out on me! I demand you fire her or I'll tell my father about this!" Peggy hisses to Lucy. This makes you speechless. How spoilt do you have to be to use your father as a threat. Peggy's father was an established business man around town, he had a hand in everyone's pockets your father use to say.
"Can I not just, give you a free milkshake? Maybe some food..." Lucy pleads. She didn't want to resort to such measures.
Peggy laughs in Lucy's face "How dare you! Do you know what my father has done for this diner?! If I remember correctly you owe him a debt from a loan a few years back, it would be such a shame if..."
"Okay" Lucy sighs, the wrinkles on her face and the grey in her hair becoming even more frail just by Peggy's threats.
She turns to you and gives you the nod. "I'm sorry Daisy..."
Steve gasps at the realisation that Lucy is actually firing you. Peggy has a beaming smile plastered across her face and your mouth is wide open in shock.
You knew this was just Lucy protecting the only real thing she had left. You couldn't blame her. You untie your apron snd hand it over to Lucy who looks at you devastated before walking away.
"Look what you made me do..." Peggy tuts before plonking herself back in the booth with pride.
You smirk. You grab Steve's vanilla milkshake that was still on the table and pour it right over Peggy, onto her short brown locks. Trickling down her thick face of makeup and running down her chest seeping more so into her dress and cleavage.
She looks at you with such hatred. But the feeling was mutual at this point.
"Look what you made me do..." You repeat her words right back to her before walking out the diner. Not an ounce of regret to your name.
As Peggy runs into the diner bathroom to clean herself up Steve couldn't help but smile to himself.
"That's my girl...." He thought to himself. Now all he had to do was try and get himself out of this mess, before he's the one with a milkshake on his head.

The Last Marshal
Weird West Fantasy Noir Once the Republic Marshals brought order to the chaotic lands along the Frontier, facing dangers both human and supernatural with ancient wisdom and a six-gun —but that was a long time ago. Destroyed by conspiracy and betrayal, all that remains of that secretive order is one nameless man on a trek though the West seeking revenge on the woman he blames for the Marshals' fall and his disgrace. When a visitor from our world joins him on his journey, they together must confront the horrors of a strange land, the mysteries of the past and the real meaning of their quest for justice. The world of Tellus is what 19th Century Earth would have looked like if the stories of Poe, Ambrose Bierce, Lovecraft and William Hope Hodgeson were real. History in this world moves slower. The old faiths persist and civilization never conquered the dark corners of the map, at least not without being inextricably changed. Technology and culture takes a little longer to evolve in this land, as people here tend to spend more time pursuing their elaborate revenge plots or trying to avoid being the next sacrifice to the Outer Gods rather than advancing science or statecraft. Imagine Cormac McCarthy by way of Edgar Rice Burroughs, though a little less testosterone-drenched than that description would imply. Three caveats: First, there are deep mysteries here, including how such a world came to be and who controls it. Second, this world is not wholly unconnected from our own. There is a historical point of divergence, but in the distant past. To paraphrase Twain: history in this world is not a repeat of our own, but it does often rhyme. And finally, this is not a setting that lends itself to happy endings.

Overseer (Dwarf Fortress x Worm)
A young woman gains the power to make elements of a saved game real. She must then survive the assault of a coordinated attack by some of the deadliest parahumans on the planet - he same group of murderhobos that caused her the mental trauma that resulted in her gaining her powers to begin with. This is a crossover fiction between the most complicated game ever created, 'Dwarf Fortress' by Toady One, and an extensive grimdark superpower genre serial fiction called 'Worm' by Wildbow. It is violent and there are some references to sex in it, so it's probably not fit for young children to read, and persons not familiar with Dwarf Fortress or Worm might be confused by some elements, but I feel confident that it stands reasonably well on it's own. This crossover is complete. I posted it here in it's entirety all at once. I hope you all enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
