By the time you had walked back to Bucky's you were a complete mess. Your mascara had smeared to now run and lay firmly with thick black streaks down your cheeks. Your nose was sniffly and red to match your puffy eyes, the reality had sunk in. You were fired.
When you realised Bucky wasn't home you couldn't help but wonder where he was, but he was a busy man so you shrugged it off, you made yourself a cup of tea and curled up on the sofa with one of the many woven blankets Bucky had, all hand sewn by his mother, they were warm and thick. Truly made with nothing but love and hard work.
After a couple minutes you hear a shriek coming from Bucky's bedroom. You didn't even hesitate, you shot up, spilling hot tea all down you, burning your neck and hands, but that didn't matter, you burst into Bucky's room and let out a huge gasp.
Bucky was thrusting into some blonde woman, his mouth attached to her breast. The shriek was her ridiculous pathetic moans that were clearly staged to try and impress Bucky, it sounded like a cat being strangled.
"Jesus fucking Christ!" You shout before turning around, trying not to think about what you saw. Your cheeks immediately flush with embarrassment. You don't know what you was expecting, but it certainly wasn't that.
Bucky looks up to see your back turned and the door close. Before he hears's your footsteps going back down the hall.
Bucky's first and only thought was something must be wrong for you to be home. The woman cupped Bucky's face and pulled him to look at her.
"Don't stop" She pants, inching closer to his neck. Bucky pulls himself out of her and puts on a pair of pants.

"Get out" He says bluntly. Not giving a single fuck.
The blonde huffs and gets changed before leaving swiftly. Giving Daisy a disgusted look before the door slams forcefully shut behind her.
As Bucky comes into the room Daisy stands to look up at him, her hands were shaking, starting to blister from the burns, her neck red and blotchy, following suit from the scorching tea.
"I'm so sorry..." You mumble out completely humiliated.
"Daisy what the.." Bucky stops, to take in the sight he's seeing. He looks at your face first, thick tear lines and smudged makeup, then your neck and hands, they were vibrating with tremors.
"Fucking hell!" Bucky shouts out in a serious panic before grabbing you and throwing your hands under a cold tap. You scream out in pain but Bucky holds you tightly under the freezing water. Trying to sooth the burn.
"Daisy" Bucky says sadly as the skin starts to peel from your fingers. You were sobbing. You didn't know wether it was heartache or pain or bath.
"I'm sorry Bucky, I didn't realise you..."
"Daisy I don't care about some dumb blonde who wanted to fuck" Bucky shakes his head.
You gulp. "Don't speak to women that way.."
Bucky rolls his eyes abs gets a cold compress to gently put in your neck. You wince but the burning turns to soothing faster than you thought.
After a few minutes Bucky set you down on the sofa, making sure you were as comfortable as possible.
"Maybe you should put a sock on the door next time...I thought something was wrong, that's why I spilled my tea, I was coming to check on you"
Bucky's stomach sank at Daisy's words.
"You were?"
"I thought something happened and I was worried about you Buck" You sigh.

Bucky puts an arm around you and you lean your head into his shoulder.
"Can I be the one to worry now, are you going to tell me what happened at the diner?" Bucky asks softly but sternly. You knew you had to tell him. So you did. You poured out every ounce of detail you could remember. Bucky didn't interrupt you once. He listening patiently and carefully. You could feel him starting to tense. Aggravation setting in as you cry to him.
"I'm going to kill him" Bucky hisses. He was livid.
You shake your head and cuddle into him further.
"Bucky please don't go..."
Bucky sighs and holds you tighter, how could Steve do this to her? Bucky really thought Steve loved her.
"I would have loved to have seen Peggy's face though as that milkshake was tipped over his head" Bucky admits, making you laugh, easing the dramatics and intensity of the conversation.
"It was a picture"
"Total badass Daisy, I'm so proud of you" Bucky rubs his hand up and down your arm
"You are?" You croak out weakly.
"Yeah...I really am"
You both sit like this for a while. In complete silence, in each others touch for comfort. There was nothing romantic between you and Bucky, but you never felt so thankful and grateful for him, and he felt the exact same about you.
A knock bursts on the door and you and Bucky shoot eachother a look. Yours was fear and Bucky's was rage. They both knew in that moment, it was Steve.

A World With or Without Aliens
Nothing matters. It's not my opinion, it's a scientific fact. This is neither good nor bad, it just... is. I watched my entire country burn, fried on a patriotic pan after some jerk fired a bunch of nukes at the docile fleet of alien ships hovering over us. Who gave this moron such power? I don't know. Everyone involved is most likely dead by now. As for me, I can't die. I feel pain like a normal person would (I think), but no matter how terrible the conditions, I will never die or pass out. Fortunately, a lot of alien technology survived its crash to Earth, so I get to spend some time playing with it until Mr. Author gets bored and decides to screw up my life. Beware, this has a "harem" tag. If you haven't figured it out yet, I'm the main character and am therefore subject to this novel's timeline. While this bars me from the sweet ignorance of Chapter 1's me, it does have other perks... for example, I can tell you that heroine number one is personally responsible for kil-!? H-hey, back off! I'm your character, so if you didn't want me to be like this, then you should've written me differently! Randomguy here! In all seriousness, this novel is meant to explore the concept of nihilism as a post-apocalyptic/supernatural-scifi/satire told from a nihilistic introvert's first-person perspective. As you heard from my unsettled main character, each heroine is going to be a different type of horrifying socio/psychopath with dark motives and dangerous abilities (most of which are psychological). Why would I do something like this? Because I am, in reality, a nihilist who is often frustrated by weird things, like unrealistically dramatic stories, the industrialization of art (specifically music), and people who think swimming in brown creekwater for five hours is a "fun" activity. Don't get me wrong, neither me nor my character are depressed, we're just malcontents who make a lot of nerd references. I feel like the true essence of an "everything is worthless" perspective is lost on most pop-culture figures. The closest character I can think of at the moment is Rick from Rick and Morty, who is a drunk, angry nihilist that experienced tremendous loss. I, personally, find this belligerent state of mind to be very relatable, and have incorperated it into every chapter's introduction. Here, the main character talks directly to the reader (and me), shamelessly complaining about some semi-relevant facet of society, which probably doesn't make much sense... it's not really supposed to, though. These "angry nihilist" moments are just a peak into the main character's everyday existence, and also act as miniature rage-journals for me. It will sometimes take a subjectively 'positive' turn, but not very often. This is because reality isn't good or bad, "it just... is". I will eventually bring it full-circle to optimistic nihilism, since that seems to be a more practical way to live (and by "practical", I mean "doesn't create mental health issues"). It is, of course, a satire. I did this because most unnecessarily emotional moments or people usually make me feel kind of awkward, so I decided to mock them. That is, I plan to mock the characteristics about them I don't like in characters based solely off said characteristics. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy my story!
