"Bye Mom. Love you," I hugged her before going out of the door. I opened the door to the passenger side of Jack's car and slipped in.
"Good morning," Jack smiled at me and started to drive.
"Good morning to you too," I smiled back. I saw Jack's eyes side glance at me, his smile growing.
"What's such a big smile doing on your face?" I raised an eyebrow at the brown haired boy.
"No reason," his smile didn't leave his face as he kept driving. He started to drive with one hand, his other arm resting on the arm rest between us.
I studied his expressions trying to figure out why he was so happy. I was so focused on his facial expressions, I didn't notice when Jack grabbed my hand. I looked down at our hands, a blush spreading over my cheeks.
"Why hold my hand in private? Don't we just do that kind of stuff in public?" I asked Jack my questions.
"If we want the relationship to be believable we have to be couple-like in private too," he looked at me and winked. "I also like holding your hand."
I rolled my eyes and turned to the window, not releasing his hand. We went the rest of the way to school in silence, hands together.
When we made it to the school I let go of his hand and stepped out of the car. I threw my book bag over my shoulder and waited for Jack to get out of his car. A car parked beside his and I noticed it as Ellie's. I rolled my eyes and turned away from her car.
I heard the sound of a car door open and close. Hoping it was Jack and not Ellie, I wasn't focused on anything but watching for Jack to step out.
I was snatched back by my book bag, before being pushed the other way and into Jack's car door. I turned around quickly only to see Ellie walking away, a smirk playing on her lips. I glared at the back of her head before I straightened myself.
"You okay?" I heard Jack's footsteps over to me.
I looked his way and sent a nod. "Yeah, I got this, remember?" I smiled at him.
"Okay. Just tell me if she gets out of hand," he looked at me with worry filled eyes.
"It's not like you would hurt her or anything. You like her," I started walking. I saw him tense up out of the corner of my eye.
"But..."
"No buts. We're a couple for a reason, right?" I stopped walking when I didn't hear him beside me. I turned around and raised an eyebrow. "You coming?"

He shook out of whatever kind of trance he was in and started walking to me. "Yeah."
As we walked up to the school I noticed how quiet he was. "Jack."
No reply.
"Jack."
Nothing.
I turned to him and gave him a punch on the shoulder. "Jackkk."
"Ouch," he held his shoulder and gave me a glare. Not sure if that was playful.
I grabbed his hand and held my head high. That quickly dissipated as his hand laid limp in mine. "Hey, are you okay?"
"Yeah," he stiffly grabbed my hand and straightened.
"I'm not very convinced over here," I put a finger to my chin.
"Just thinking."
"About what?"
"It's nothing," he shrugged and gave me a small smile.
I sighed and huddled closer to his arm. My head laid on his shoulder. "If you say so."
He was very warm. It was so comfortable. I decided that could be a change in subject before we split.
"Why haven't I noticed how cozy you are?" I let out a giggle.
"Yeah, why haven't you? I would've let you lay your head on my shoulder like this before now," he smirked down at me.
"Oh shuddup. You had a girlfriend."
"Think I cared then?"
"Do you care now? Like...would you cheat on me if given the chance? Of course this is if we were actually dating," I rubbed my thumb against his, just to move a piece of my hand.
"I do care. I wouldn't cheat on you if we were dating."
"What makes me different from those other girls?" we were almost to our lockers.
"I don't know. You're just you."
"Wow I feel so special," I said, sarcasm lacing my voice. I rolled my eyes and let go of his hand. I couldn't help but smile a little. "You know, you're quite the romantic."
"Thanks," he rolled his eyes back before heading to his locker. I went over to mine also, smiling at Ally as I made my way.
"Good morning," she smiled back.
"Good morning to you too," I opened my locker and grabbed my books.
"How's Jack so far?" I looked at her from behind my locker door.
"He's definitely a sweet boyfriend. He bought me fast food last night. Annnd we shared a milkshake," I went back to rummaging around in my locker.
"Is it bad that I ship you two already?" she asked me from the other side of my locker door.
"If I recall correctly, weren't you the one who told me he was trouble just yesterday?" I shut my locker door and gave her a look.

"Yeah but you two are just so cute," she looked conflicted.
"I bet Finn and Jaeden would agree," I mumbled out as we started walking.
"I do too! We could start a little cult of shippers," she did a creepy hand thing.
"Oh....nice," I slowly nodded my head.
"Yep," she replied, popping the 'p'. "Has Ellie done anything else?"
"Bumped me into Jack's car but that's about it," I looked around at the passing people.
"She's such a...ugh," she rolled her eyes. She ran a hand through her messy brown waves.
"Yeah," I looked down at the ground.
We finished our walk up to homeroom. We sat in our seats beside each other and got our binders and such ready. Another boring day.

It was the unlucky time. The class I had with Ellie was here. I trudged to my locker with regret filling each step further. I knew she would notice. Say something even.
When I made it to my locker I was surprised to see Jack. He was fidgeting with his hands. When he looked up he saw me and a smile grew across his face. I quickly walked over to him.
"Hey," I opened my locker when he stepped to the side.
"Are you going to be okay? I heard that Ellie was in your next class and I got worried," he ran a hand through his hair.
"I'm okay," I smiled at how cute he was.
"Okay," he started to mess with his fingers again.
"If you need stuff for your next class you can get it and we can walk together," I suggested, pointing in the direction of his locker.
"Sure," he started to quickly walk towards his.
I quickly worked to grab my binders and a pencil. When I finished getting my stuff, I closed my locker, only to be met with Ellie.
"Uh, hi," I awkwardly hugged my binders to my chest.
"Hello fuck face. How's Jack? Has he taken 'little miss innocent's virginity yet?" her words ran through my brain.
"Actually..u-uh...I'm still a-" I coughed awkwardly. "Virgin."
"Oh? He doesn't even like you enough to touch you? You really are that disgusting, huh?" I felt tears brim my eyes but I quickly blinked them back.
"No. He just respects my decisions," I threw her a glare before trying to walk to Jack.
"Ah ah ah. Where do you think you're going?" Ellie grabbed me by my hair and pulled me back.
I let out a little gasp in pain. I saw her smirk and pull on my hair again. I winced at the pain. I grabbed her hand that was holding my hair and tried to pry it open.
I heard quick footsteps coming closer. I felt her let go of my hair and I fell down. I got up and turned towards her. I didn't want to punch her in the face. It just happened like that.
My fist moved faster than I could comprehend how mad she had made me. It made contact with her nose and I heard a gasp come from her and her little minions. I also heard another gasp from behind me.
I turned around quickly to see Jack. He had a shocked expression on his face. He quickly pulled me over to him. He put me behind him and quickly grabbed my binders off the floor. He gave them to me and turned back around.
Ellie's minions helped her stand up straight. Ellie came up with a bloody nose. I did that? Nice! I tried not to show how happy I was that her nose was bleeding. She started it.
I tapped Jack's shoulder and he slightly turned his head. "Can we leave before I get in trouble for punching her?"
I saw a small nod from him and felt his hand grab mine. He started to walk with me trailing behind but still close because of the linked hands.
"I didn't know I could do that..." I mumbled.
"I didn't either," he looked back at me. I couldn't tell if he was impressed or disappointed. Maybe both.
"You have to admit though, it was a pretty good punch. Am I right?"
"Really?" he looked back at me and shook his head.
"I made her nose bleed. That's the first time I've ever punched someone. She deserved it though," I huffed, holding my books closer to me.
"Yeah..."
"You saw what happened?" I looked at him with wide eyes.
"Yeah. It's rude to grab someone's hair. Hurts too," I could feel him wince.
"Do you still like her? I don't expect you not to! I mean it's just that she's so mean. You deserve someone....nicer," I cringed at my awkwardness.
"I don't know," I rolled my eyes at his answer. Of course he doesn't know. He's so confusing.
We walked the rest of the way in silence. Our hands were still together and rocking back and forth slightly. I'm not sure if he even knew that our hands were still together. He's so oblivious to relationship things. Except for one night stands, which wasn't really a relationship thing.
He dropped me off at my class and I dropped his hand. I felt our hands run against each others as they fell back to our own sides. I waved at him and walked into my class. Now to wait for this class to end.
