Siddharth and Avneet rushed out of the college and mounted his bike. Siddharth was riding it on full speed, Avneet could object but this was serious so she just clutched onto him while he rode on full speed.
They reached the house Siddharth ran inside the house to his mom's room followed by Avneet. He opened the door and what he saw was enough to shatter him inside. The servants were there, the nurse was on the bed crying, his dad standing with his are. Hooked to his second wife and a most shattering sight which could break any strong man: a body lying on the bed covered with the blanket.
He took slow steps towards it and sat on his knees beside the body. Avneet slowly followed him and sat down with her hand on his shoulder.
"Siddharth she is .." His father trailed of finding words to speak to his son. The son he never really loved, but he still cared for his feelings.
"She is simply dead" Vrushali spat coldly
Siddharth ignored how she said it. His heart was racing, they were all lying. She couldn't leave him like this! She would never leave the son she loved dearly. The nurse moved forward and uncovered the face, removing the blanket.
Avneet's gut wrenched when she saw the pale and lifeless face of Radhika Nigam. Her grip on his shoulder increased, she held back her tears. She didn't want to cry in front of Siddharth, she wanted to be strong for him, she had to be there for him. Her eyes everted to Siddharth. Tears were unknowingly leaking his eyes while he stared at his lifeless mother.
Vrushali dragged her husband out of the room followed by all the servants and nurse. The nurse was crying violently she had built a bond with Radhika over the time but she was gone. Siddharth was crying, his eyes were squeezed shut. It seemed as if he was trying to wake up from a nightmare. It didn't take him long enough to realize that this wasn't just a bad dream.
"Mom " He said in an almost inaudible tone "M...mo....mom, listen to me please" He cried as he grabbed her hand. He sniffed and pressed her hand on his eyes "Mom wake up, wake up please" Said Siddharth as he shook violently. Tears finally started streaming down Avneet's cheeks she reached and touched his shoulder again. He turned to her "Avneet"
"Hmm" She said softly pressing his back
"Tell her to come back" He pleaded taking her hands in his "Please tell her to come back, she listens to you Angel! Remember? Remember when you told her that I meant no harm and she listened to you?" He said, Avneet couldn't wipe her tears away as her hands were locked in his and she was staring at him while controlling her sobs. There was intensity in his voice.
"Remember she asked if I would come back, I didn't. I could have hugged her a few times more" he said in a guilty tone as he sobbed again "I want her back Avneet, tell her to come back" He said bowing his head low, leaving her hands to bury his face in them. Siddharth shook with each sob. Avneet wiped her tears.
"Siddharth she...she cann..ot come ba..ck" She stammered more sobs came.
He sprawled over his mother's body, his breathe hitched as he violently cried over it, grieving over his fate. Avneet held him tightly for support.
"I want her back Avneet get her back , I beg you Avneet please" he pleaded sobbing and joining his hands, Avneet shook her head in a no.

"I can't" She whispered "I'm sorry"
"Mom..mo ...mom..ma please please come back, please, please" He said pleading and begging, his sobs grew his cheeks were wet so was the t-shirt "Avneet will she come back if I .." he paused while saying and snapped at her with a hopeful eyes "If I say sorry to everyone I have hurt, I will beg for their forgiveness even if I have to hold their legs will she come back then?" He asked getting out of control, he started taking deep breaths as it stuck every time due to the sobs.
"This is not possible Siddharth, look at me Siddharth she cannot come back" She explained as she clutched his arms.
"Never" He said abruptly "Th-hat me-means I-I will nev-never be able to se-see her again" He stammered badly, he let out a few loud sobs before going all silent.
After that no sob came out tears were not visible he went silent, it seemed as if his eyes dried out, he wasn't talking, nor whimpering he went off, he sat there beside the bed constantly staring at the dead body with a blank expression, Avneet was firmly holding his hand looking at him with shock.
She sat there staring at him she noticed tears falling from his eyes slowly. They sat there like that for some time, he was constantly staring at his dead mother. He couldn't believe his eyes, he wanted to wake up and end this all already.
Avneet received a call from Jannat so she went to the balcony leaving Siddharth in the same position
"Hello where are you two?" Jannat said in a worried tone.
"Jann Sidd's mom... died" she said hesitantly
"What?" Jannat asked in disbelief "Is he okay, where is he? Bhav Siddharth's mom died" She said the later part to Bhavesh on the other side but Avneet could hear that also she heard the reaction he had.
"I will talk to you later" Avneet said cutting the call and going back there Siddharth had his hand on his mother's forehead, he kept carressing it. A few minutes later everyone else came: Jannat, Ritika, Ashnoor, Aashika, Anushka, Reem, Arishfa, Bhavesh, Manjul and Lucky.
They sat with Siddharth and gave him consoling words but he didn't react, he was still staring at his mother's body. Soon his father entered the room.
"Siddharth we have to take her" He said keeping his hand on Siddharth's shoulder. Siddharth just nodded as he stood up, he gave shoulder to his mother's body as they carried her out. He was staring blankly at floor while carrying his mother out to hand her over to God. He gave one last look to Avneet who was now finally sobbing violently, letting all the emotions out. It pained her to see Siddharth hurt, Jannat was hugging her. Siddharth slightly smiled which vanished in next second and they left the house.
The men reached Shamshaan ghat. Pandit was already there. The men placed Radhika's body over sticks and stood aside while Siddharth did the rituals. He blankly took the pot and made three rounds around her mother's body before it. The Pandit recited all the mantras while Siddharth unwillingly set the fire on his mother's body saying his last goodbye to her.
He stood aside as he watched the flame engulf her. Siddharth watched the flame and smoke rising from the body. A tear leaked his eye and he wiped it away and bowed his head low. Siddharth's father finally showed a fatherly gesture and side hugged his son. Siddharth melted into touch and leaned on his shoulder closing his eyes.

When they reached the mansion, without any word Siddharth took Avneet's hand and dragged her out of it.
"Where are we going?" She asked
"Somewhere, come on let's so" He said blankly as he mounted the bike. Avneet nodded and sat down behind him. He rode the bike slowly and in control he took her to nearby beach. Without any word he got off it and started walking on the beach with bare feet. Avneet took off her shoes too and went to him, they silently walked on the beach when Siddharth suddenly sat down.
"Why are we here? Everyone needs you home Sidd" Said Avneet placing her hand on his shoulder. As she sat down with him.
"I- I can't go there.. It reminds me of her" Said Siddharth in a weak tone, he squeezed his eyes shut and leaned his head on Avneet's shoulder. She felt her shoulder getting wet, she looked at him and hugged him. He broke down again and cried on her shoulder.
"Shh it's okay, be strong for her" Soothed Avneet rocking them back and forth.
"She left me Angel, my mother left me, my hope left me, my reason to live left me Avmeet I'm sorry I can't help it" Siddharth uncontrollably sobbed. Avneet pursed her lips and stayed silent. After half an hour of crying they left for college. Siddharth immediately left for room and shut himself in, locking Avneet out. She frowned and walked away to library. She thought he needed space.
Avneet walked in the library and walked to the shelves, she pulled out a random book to read but her mind shifted to last few happy moments spent with Siddharth. He was so lively and happy with her when God decided to test him further. Avneet sighed and closed her eyes. She walked to a table and sat down on it, she kept flipping through pages while thinking about Siddharth.
She was staring at the book, not really reading or studying anything. She got frustrated so she closed her book and went out of the library to the canteen. In the corridors people shot her dirty looks. Probably still gossiping about him and her beating Riyaz. Avneet glared at them when she received a call.
"May I know where are you two now?" Asked Bhavesh
"College, he didn't want to stay there. I'm going to canteen to get some food for him talk to you later" She said and cut the call before he could say anything. Avneet went to the canteen there was nothing good to eat so she ordered fried rice with chilly. She sat down on table, waiting for it.
"Hey Avneet, I wanted to say you both did great beating the shitcase up" Said a girl named Natasha who had just joined her on the table.
"Thanks.. Pray for his mother, she just passed away today" She Avneet in a sad tone.
"Oh no! How is he coping?" Asked Natasha worriedly.
"He locked himself up, I ordered some food for him, waiting for it" Said Avneet with a sad smile.
"Take care of him. He really loves you I've seen it, he's changed. He's not the Siddharth we were scared of anymore" Said Natasha placing her hand on Avneet's. She felt a pang in her heart.
"Will do" Said Avneet the girls sat there talking when Avneet received the call from rider. She went to college gate and took the food in with her, she reached the room and knocked on it, he didn't reply. Avneet knocked louder.
"SIDDHARTH! OPEN UP" She yelled, he didn't reply so Avneet groaned as she pressed her ear onto the door. She should hear him shuffle on the bed "Siddharth I know you're in there"
He didn't reply again so she went to janitors' room. She took the keys from them and walked back to the room. She unlocked it and went inside, she found him lying on bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.
"Hey" Said Avneet softly. He looked at her softly and then turned back to facing the wall. Avneet frowned as she sat down beside him. He held her hand firmly not looking at her. Avneet smiled lightly.
"I brought you food" Said Avneet
"Don't want it" Said Siddharth, his voice cracked from excessive crying.
"Get up I'm not asking you I'm ordering you" Said Avneet firmly, Siddharth looked at her but shifted back to staring at the wall. Avneet stood up and pulled him from his arms, he sat straight resting his back on the head board, bowing his head low "I don't like this Siddharth" Avneet whined looking at him.
"Can't help it" He said blankly, she opened the box and placed it in front of him. He pushed it away. Avneet took a spoon full and stopped it in front of his mouth. He frowned and lightly pushed her hand away.
"Okay fine! Don't eat it. I'm not gonna eat either and starve myself, you don't love me anyway" She blackmailed him and began getting up, he got hold of her wrist and pulled her back on bed, she smiled slightly and started feeding him. He kept staring at the wall while a tear escaped his eye. She made him eat a full plate then she took hers to eat. She observed him laying on the bed as he blankly stared at the ceiling.
"Talk to me" She said as she cutely pouted at him, he looked at her, chuckled lightly but it vanished when he looked away from her.
"Come on~ I'm bored" Said Avneet, he shook his head and laid down facing his back to her. He switched the side lamp off, Avneet frowned. She got up and big spooned him from behind, and pressed her cheek onto his back. She felt his hands on hers. They fell asleep like that.
Avneet woke up to someone's crying, in the middle of the night. She rubbed her eyes. She had woken up to an empty bed, she got off the bed and crept closer to the bathroom, where Siddharth was crying. She peeked in through the slightly ajar door. He was in front of the mirror, crying violently.
"I'm useless" She heard him say "My mom left me! I don't want to live anymore" Her eyes widened, he wasn't going to attempt suicide again, was he? "If it wasn't for Avneet I would have made sure they burn me along with my mom. No Siddharth you have to live, live for her" Avneet hard him rant, she nearly went in to hug him but she stopped her feet and returned back to her bed, she laid down and pretended to be asleep.
She felt Siddharth lay down next to her. He wrapped his arm around her, she cuddled up to him. He didn't suspect that she was awake. He kissed her forehead, then her eyes, then her nose then her lips and then her chin. Avneetd blushed but controlled herself as he squeezed her in between his arms.
"I love you, you are the only light left I'm my life" He said and fell asleep.

Legacy, a vrmmo game, is the first of its kind to actually look like the fantasy games kids dream of. Darius gets the game, planning to just have fun and maybe get some friends. Unfortunately, he's the protagonist, so yeahhhh shit's gonna happen He chooses the mage class which is often ridiculed for its low health and high MP costs. There is gonna be fucking profanity because books where the protagonist is like "fiddlesticks" when they fuck up are stupid and targeted at kids that haven't gone thru puberty yet. And yes, there will be gore. Otherwise what's the point of these games? The cover is not mine and I don't own it okay I just got it off one of those sites rate this if you feel like it
