Quick a/n: Tysm for 90+ reads !!
——
I slowly wake up to the sound of scratching at my door. Or at least, that's what I thought it was. I wasn't fully awake so I couldn't tell. I got up anyways, getting ready for the day and then making my bed. The scratching sound was still at my door, no...it was like...someone was trying to pick my lock..!? I backed up a bit, seeing the person had succeeded in unlocking my door. And when the door opened, I saw a familiar face.
"Huh!? Kokichi?! Why were you picking my lock?" I say, a bit startled.
"Oh, Y/n! You're awake?" He asks in confusion, still standing in my doorway
"Uh, yeah...well I just woke up"
"Well then what are you waiting for?? C'monnn!" He grabs my arm and pulls me out of my room, barely giving me a chance to close my door.
"Hey! What are you doing?!" I say as he drags me somewhere, keeping a firm grip on my arm.
"To the dining hall, duh! We agreed that we'll all meet there, and you slept in a bit so they asked someone to go get you" he explained
"And why did they send you out of all people.." I say teasingly, I didn't actually mind Kokichi was the one who came to get me
"How rudeee!" He pouted, shortly stopping the act to answer my question "they asked me cuz I can pick locks"
——
"Now...all of us have arrived." Korekiyo says just as Kokichi and I walk in. "Kehehe...I'm glad. It looks as though there were no victims,"
"Well of course!" Keebo shouted
"So, Kaede..are you okay? You seemed to look really sad yesterday after everyone started to argue" I ask the blonde
"Hey, no point in bringing that up again. Everyone was probably just tired." Rantaro said, trying to keep the positive mood.
"Shut it! That's no excuse!" Kaito yelled, he seemed to get mad easily

"No, it's okay! I just should've been more considerate of everyone's feelings. I was too focused on the tunnel..so, I'm sorry..," she said with an apologetic look, which seemed to calm Kaito down.
"Alright, well....if you're okay with it, then so am I." He said
"Phew, cool! Now everything's settled! I don't know why y/n had to bring that up" Kokichi muttered the last part to make it so only I could hear him.
"I just wanted to see if kaede was alright? I didn't mean to start up another commotion.." I look to the floor, feeling a little bad.
"Let's just forget about it and discuss something else. Okay? Let's all think about ways to get out of here." Kaede suggested. But she was soon interrupted by Monokuma
"Before you do that, I have an announcement!" Said the bear. I jumped back into Kokichi by accident as monokuma just popped out of nowhere. Kaede yelled too.
"Hey! Don't just suddenly show up!" I shout,
"Nishishi! You should watch where you're going Y/n!"Kokichi said, but not loud enough for the others to hear
"Maybe if you weren't standing so close behind me I wouldn't have bumped into you when I jumped back." I say. I could see Kokichi slowly move up next to me
"Well? Your announcement?" Rantaro looked serious
"It's not terribly important, but..it's easier to stay alive by being an obvious goody two-shoes, right? Being put into a killing game doesn't mean you'll be able to kill someone easily... So I figured I'd ease you guys into the killing game by giving you . " the bear has a sinister look on his face.
"....Motivation to kill?" Maki repeated
"In short, a ! That oughta add some mystery to the proceedings! Even if a killer is exposed, they could whip up a sob story to deceive everyone!" Monokuma explained
"Wh-What are you saying? Your logic is impossible to understand...!" Keebo said

"I will now announce the first motive! Make sure you record this moment for posterity! Now then, the special motive I've prepared is called the ! Wowww! For the first murder that occurs, no class trial will be held! Can you believe it? That means the first one to kill someone will get to graduate, no strings attached!" Monokuma explained, a scary and almost dangerous aura came from him.
"No class trial will be held?" Maki asked
"I'm sorry that I made the class trial seem more important than it really is... So for the first murder, I've decided not to hold a class trial at all. Please just relax, calm down, and kill! After all, the first one's free!"
"Huh? That's all? We just gotta kill someone to get outta here!?" Asked Miu
"That's all'!? What's that supposed to mean!? Please just calm down!" Keebo shouted
"First blood perk!? Don't make it sound like some kind of game show bonus!" Tenko yelled at the bear
"Puhuhu... You say that, but I bet you're really happy, huh?" The bear teased
"There's no way I'm happy!"
"Stop messing around... You think this is fun for us?" Kaede spoke up. The bear just tilted its head in confusion. "Do you really think I'd kill someone just to get out? In your dreams! We're not gonna lose to you! We promised each other we'd escape from this place!"
"Puhuhu... Spare me your false bravado. You should be focusing on how you plan to survive. You just gotta kill someone, right?"
"Why you...bastard!" Kaito yelled
"I see... The prisoner's dilemma. How very clever of you, Monokuma." Rantaro spoke up
"Huh? What's that?" I ask
"we all know it's better to cooperate rather than betray each other, right? But if you don't cooperate, you receive some benefit that no one else gets. It's an incentive to betray the group to give yourself an advantage. With that in the back of all our minds, we're less likely to cooperate. That's Monokuma's plan. To make a that tanks Kaede's plan to get us to ." He explained
"And if a murder were to occur...it'd be even more likely that we'd cooperate." Shuichi spoke up in what felt like forever. You almost forgot he was there.
"It's likely he created this perk for that sole purpose." Korekiyo added
"Right? I bet you can't stand all this tension in the air, right? So it's better to just kill!" Monokuma laughed
"Wh-What...? You..." Tenko couldn't even finish her sentence.
"You seem to be really serious about forcing us to play this killing game. What exactly is your objective?" I ask
"His objective doesn't matter! I'm through letting him have his way! I've have enough!!" Kaito jumped at Monokuma, but was interrupted by the Monokubs appearing,
"Finally, it's time for the exisals!" Monotaro said
"Wh.....What? What are you guys planning to do..?" Kaito asked with fear written all over his face.
"P-Please, don't!" Keebo pleaded.
"Kaito, run!" I yell. Hearing the sound of the mechanical machine. However while the exisal was making its way over...it...stepped on Monokuma...!?
"Wh-What is this....? What's going on...?" Tenko asked
"I'm not sure...but Monokuma seems to be in pieces." I reply
"Serves him right! He got just what he deserved!"Kaito said, it was obvious he was still scared, trying to mask it.
"Do not celebrate just yet. I'm certain he has a spare that will appear momentarily." Kirumi said and the kubs started to cry
"If only one existed, then does this mean Monokuma is dead?" Maki asked but the kubs just kept crying, then ended talking about...food? Anyway, soon after they left again.
